Welcome to the forums! I'm sorry no one has greeted you yet, but that's why I am here! I make sure every one has a warm welcome! Anyways; Let me introduce myself. I am Meirno, the self-proclaimed largest Rainbow Dash fan on the forums. Glad to have you here! I am actually a huge fan of the development of LoE and I absolutely cannot wait for it to finally be released. So we have that in common. Also, don't you worry about being bad at drawing. We have a section for artists, seasoned and budding. You can always start a topic there and see if you can get some assistance. That will contain your "Everfree Forest" which contains conversations and serious discussions about anything not MLP related. Looks like a great one. Honestly any kind of Yamaha keyboard you get will be fine as long as everything works on it. Even one with less voice sounds. Do ya'll have a craigslist or equivalent over there in the UK?

If you're looking for just a super cheap beginners keyboard, I'd suggest a cheap Yamaha portable keyboard. You can find plenty of used ones online. I found one on craigslist one day for 20 bucks. 61 keys, 300+ sounds. Yamaha's are pretty fair quality, they are built like a tank and they are easy to find. That's just my suggestion, go cheap and used before you put a ton of money in to it.

Let me run a situation by you, which is not too uncommon. You live in a large city, with your family and your pet. It's 10 o'clock at night, and you're laying down in bed. By mistake you leave your stove on, you forgot to turn off that oven, you forgot to blow out the candle and the cat knocks it down on the carpet. Your fire alarm goes off. Without thinking, you rush outside. Head count. Wife/husband made it out, one child.. Where's the second? You run back in to the house frantically, just to get cut off by heat and flames. You can hear her screaming in her upstairs bedroom. Your spouse has already dialed 911 and has spoken to the radio dispatcher. She says the fire company is on their way. 2 minutes... 3 minutes... Where are they? 4 minutes... 5 minutes... 6 minutes... Finally. Sirens. Their coming. Their here, you tell them your daughter is upstairs. Look, they've grabbed a hose. They are stretching it to the front door. 7 minutes now. They are pulling a larger hose off the back of the truck. They are running it down the block. Still no water. 8 minutes, 9 minutes. The large hose has been hooked to a hydrant, now they have established a water supply. 10 minutes They start interior attack on the front door, they can't get firefighters inside for a carry out rescue, too much flame. 11 minutes. A ladder company gets on scene, you see the white helmets talking. They start stretching the ladder off the truck out toward her window. 12 minutes.. 13 minutes... Finally, their at the window, their breaking it out and sending firefighters in. 14 minutes, 15 minutes, 16 minutes. An arm comes through the window, followed by legs and a firefighter, carrying a soot covered baby girl. Their coming down the ladder now, which is stretched up 34 feet to her window. 17 minutes. 18 minutes... They got her at the ambulance now, and she is finally getting a blast of oxygen. Nearly 20 minutes, from the time of the call to get your child out of a house and in to professional care. The time it takes for nearly a full MLP episode to play through is the time it took. Now why is this? Lazy firemen? Not likely. Couldn't find the house? Nope. Slow truck? Still wrong. Why did[/img] it take so long? Because your nearest fire company has closed down for the night due to budget cuts, and the nearest open fire house was nearly 5 miles away. Add in traffic (light to moderate for the time of day) and the safe operating speeds allotted, they got to you as quick as possible. I don't know how many of you know it, but with the recent deficit, your public services have taken a heavy impact on the way they operate to save lives and protect property. Politicians are leaning on your local fire houses and police departments to try and save a buck. Faulty equipment, less man power and changing hours is all beginning to plaque cities all around the states. My current home town currently employs 4 fire fighters per 24 hour shift, with 3 shifts totaling 12 firefighters all together. They also implement volunteer firefighters that may or may not show up. A House fire comes over the radio. 2 fire fighters will hop in the engine, 1 will get in the ladder truck and 1 will grab the ambulance. They show up on scene. Firefighters are not allowed to enter a building alone. We have a 2 in, 2 out rule which states, per NFPA; "No fire fighter shall enter a house until they have two fire fighters, in gear and tools in hand, at the front door and ready to recover them; Unless a possible save is viable" Well, let's go back to our situation where we have 4 fire fighters on scene. 1 Firefighter will be your IC (Incident Commander). He is unable to go inside due to the fact he must maintain radio communication with dispatch. Number 2 firefighter is going to be your engineer. He has to stay on the truck in order to supply attack lines with water, regulate pressure and ensure all hoses maintain optimal flow. Now we have 2 firefighters, pulling a hose line off the truck and ready to go, but they cannot enter until mutual aid shows up. Mutual aid is a request for a fire department from a neighboring town to come out and assist. My area, at regular responding speeds (15 MPH above posted speed limits) it would take 10 minutes for the next closest engine company to show up so that a save would be possible. This is just for one emergency. What if there happened to be second? Somebody must draw the short straw. 10 years ago, my fire department employed 10 fire fighters per 24 hours shift. That means you could have your fire fighters hitting the fire in a fraction of the time. Where is the money going? Recently, our county board members have been "Granted" 12 Dodge Chargers, so that while on official business they wont have to use their own gas and run miles up on their vehicles. They have the county pay for the gas when needed. My local police force, cut down to three police on each 24 hour shift, with two more on call. (At home but ready to go) They are not allowed to travel more than 60 miles on shift while not running emergency. That's roughly about 2.5/3 hours of patrol time and 20+ hours of sitting dead time. As you can imagine this takes a lot away from the public because as police patrol, they are able to spot anything from potential crimes to the beginnings of an emergency. Police are the preventative force for all agencies, ready to put their selves in harms to way to prevent the public from becoming harmed. This isn't happening just here in my home town. It's happening next door, it's happening up state, next state over and all over. I ask you, would you prefer your senator rolling around in a state supplied vehicle, or would you prefer your local fire department to have the extra man power and equipment needed to get the job done as quick and safely as possible? What do you think of this issue? What do you think can be done to resolve or even defuse the issue some? I will leave you with this video of the East St. Louis Fire Department. One of their own firefighters put this together. (tl;dr) Politics is messed up and your family is in danger cause firefighters and police don't have money, but politicians do.

I love them both? Without the sun we'd suffocate. But I gotta say the moon is much more mysterious and beautiful. Plus, it wouldn't be right if Luna was banished to the sun. I don't think we'd ever see her again.

Well, at the moment I am unemployed due to leaving the Army. I was a truck driver in the military, working at least 8 hour days, some work periods lasting over 45 hours. I would spend several hours loading my truck to make maximum use of the space in my truck to haul the largest loads possible. One day I could be driving an Light Medium Tactical Vehicle, transporting a squad an infantry somewhere. The next I could be driving a M915 tractor trailer vehicle down state to drop some supplies for a National Guard base. I was an expert driver in my unit, for 2 years of drive time and over 10 thousand miles without incidents. Me at the very end of a 12 Mile road march. I'm the beautiful smiling guy. In my off time I was a volunteer firefighter in one of the departments just outside the base. We had an average of 2 structure fires a month as well as several different types of calls as well. Motor Vehicle Accidents, outside fires, fire/CO2 alarms, and any other kind of miscellaneous events that firefighters and our equipment would be used for. My most memorable emergency alarm I've been on was a police/SWAT assist. Our department was the nearest department nearby with a rescue unit with portable lights as well as a light tower. They were at a standoff with an old Army vet who was suffering from PTSD and hallucinations and started shooting from his house. After the incident was over with, the SWAT team let us look around in their armored van and see and play with some of their toys. The mobile robot they used for negotiations and recon, some camera equipment and other cool toys. They had a truck that was specially designed to put holes in houses and insert SWAT members so they wouldn't have to cross a yard to get inside of a house. A shot a local news agency got of me on standby with a hoseline. Had it layed out due to fuel on the ground and a still live battery.

A lot of stuff on Tru TV is pretty fake.... But I think one of the shows that is supposedly "real" but very scripted is that repo show "Lizard Lick Towing" It's just the funniest stuff I've ever seen. I think the reason a lot of stuff is scripted is because the true reality is that it would just be boring. All of these "living with" or "house of" stuff would be too boring if they didn't throw some forced comedy in to it.

Unfortunately I gave up pretty early in Demon's Souls.... Though it was a fun game, I got too angry with it. First warning shoulda been when the guy at Gamestop warned me... Kinda kicking myself for selling it back though. On the other hand, Dark Souls is such a great(And slightly more fair) version.

Sorry man, you're looking at this from an extremely wrong perspective. The thought process going through your head right now is "Do I want devote at least 6 years of my life to the military, doing what they tell me to do and go where they want me to go, without question?" This is the biggest thing. You don't choose where you go in the military. They send you there. The next thing you should be thinking about is "What do I want my career or my potential career to be?" I see you said sea bee for the Navy or a mechanic in the Army. That doesn't make any sense, they dont do anything similar. Figure out what YOU want to do, what job sounds the most interesting to you? The Army has combat engineers, same thing as a sea bee. The Navy has mechanics, for aircraft and naval vessels. Something you need to get out of your mind right now is you do NOT want to do this soley for the glory of it. It's not about being about a bad ass, it's not about being a hero. It's about doing your job for your country, your president, you chain of command. The glory will come when it needs to come, but don't you dare go looking for it. You will have the worst time of your life and you will be absolutely destroyed by your peers. Also, if you're thinking about the military, you might as well start shaping up for it. The PT standard to get in to and stay in the army is 42 push ups in 2 minutes, 53 sit ups in 2 minutes and you must run 2 miles in at least 15 minutes and 54 seconds. That is the bare minimum. I don't want this post to scare you, but you seriously need to get your mind right if you're considering the military. The military is a big place, full of big things. I just completed my time last month (May 9th was my last day in boots) Get your mind right, get your body right, figure out what you want to do, and go from there. In the Army, you wont get to work on tanks and HMMWV's, you will either become a Tracked vehicle mechanic or a wheeled vehicle mechanic, whichever you chose. Very small chance you'll be able to work on both unless you take a secondary MOS later in your career and are assigned to a company with both types of vehicles. I am very familiar with the mechanics field, considering I was in a support company myself in the Army and worked right along side of them. I was one of their assigned recovery vehicle drivers.

On the pony clan question, as there any that don't the game too seriously? I'm starting to notice trends as I gain tiers is that people don't understand the game is for fun and that no one is playing for money. People are taking this way too serious at tier 8+

You, sir, get a brohoof just for your first paragraph right off the bat. Not too true. There be serpent style bodies just the same, even though less likely. Or there could even be another way of movement all together. Maybe something even as useless as tumbling around. No legs, just an abdominal region so they might be able to worm around. And yes, my envisionment is more than likely not possible, but the creator asked us to be creative so I just picture what I thought would be a perfect species, and that just happens to be the creatures from the old book series.
