Guest June 27, 2015 Share June 27, 2015 No, not really, since I really don't have a 'waifu' and I just watch the show and take it for what it is, I really don't get angry at anything, though sometimes the characters do something that takes me out of the show, and I think to myself 'I would never do something like this, why would anyone act this way?' Friendship games coming out, many bronies have their bats ready at Hasbro Headquarters awaiting the ending of the movie if flashy takes the waifu who does not need to be taken. I would not feel a thing if a character were to enter into a relationship with my waifu, pictured below Isn't she gorgeous? Her name is Princess Non-Existia. And even if she were to get into a reationship with my least favorite character ever, I would have no reason to be upset. Take Rarity for example, she's pretty, elegant and has a nice attitude. Doesn't mean that i'd like to marry her or anything. The main reason why I don't have a waifu is because a lot of people who DO have one tend to get pissed and rage whenever he/she gets shipped with another canon character, kinda like what happened with Flash Sentry and Twilight. I don't want to associate myself with people who get depressed because they can't date a completely fictional character. If you have a waifu, that's totally fine with me. I wouldn't be mad. (Rainbow is my waifu.) Polyamory for the win. Besides, I'm pretty sure I share the same waifu as a lot of bronies, so I wouldn't get depressed or angry. I would get angry if Rainbow is taken by a character who is just awful. If she's taken by a character who would cheat on her, then we know that relationship won't last. Concerned Bystander 2,902 March 22, 2016 Share March 22, 2016 (edited) Through this fandom I have been introduced to all sorts of concepts that seemed odd to me, humerous in most occasions, slightly disturbing in others. Most of them I just accept and pay no heed to as they are fairly benign and harmless. The whole idea of 'waifus' does make me chuckle inwardly when I hear it being used in any more than the most casual of fashions. However, when people reach the stage where they are genuinely upset and/or angry when the object of their infatuation is paired off with another character in the show, that's the time when you need to back the heck out of the rabbit hole and reacquaint yourself with reality. Like I still care for her and want her to be happy but it still doesn't make reading that story any easier. But at the same time I still don't think the comics are cannon so I largely ignore them and write on with my fan fiction for my OC's.
