Why Are Bronies Disliked?

See? This the shit why many think bronies are a disease

Hm. If that is accurate, then allow them to continue to peruse that avenue of thought. Mash-ups are most certainly not the byproduct of our fandom, or even my generation.

Especially if it gets shoved into their faces.

Are you suggesting that the number of artists that (for example) would create a image of a Skyrim Pony and fanatically hunt down non fans to show it to them outnumber those that simply upload to a hosting provider or service?

Your post is way more ironic than mine, because you're comparing apples and oranges. Anti-bronies hate bronies simply because they're bronies. Bronies despise anti-bronies because to be an anti-brony, you're expressing bigotry for bronies, and there's no factually good reason to hate bronies, whether you (or any of the three bronies who brohoofed your post) likes it or not.

There exist plenty of reasons to hate bronies. The sooner you are able accept that, the better.

@, Thanks for proving my own point. You posted three videos from people who posted them online simply to bully bronies. Hell, check the username of the first video: Brony Autism Archives. BAA and the other two users are cyberbullies, and they should be reported and prosecuted for cyberbullying. If they repost a video similar to this, and the victim attempts or commits suicide, then guys like BAA committed bullycide. Bullycide has been a very huge epidemic online, and these three users who cyberbullied those bronies aren't helping.

Besides, who would dare try to link to a video from the BAA? That YT page uses "autism" an an ableist slur, and I angrily called that slur out a few months ago. Supporting an ableist archive is like supporting an antisemitic or racist archive. They're bigotry to the core and deserve ZERO support whatsoever.

Wrong. People ponify because they like to see what other products they like get merged with FIM. They post it online because they want their art to be exposed out there. Simply posting ponified art, even in non-FIM forums (especially if abiding by the rules), is NOT "shoving it in their face." If something like this equals shoving it in their faces, then the angry Mass Effect fans were never fans of the product in the first place.

First of all it isn't a slur. It was used only because of people like Chris Chan who were legitimately autistic and were just creepy people all around. Like I said, drop the SJW politics because they have no place here. I seriously don't see how uploading cringy stuff counts as cyberbullying. We here have made fun of several anti-brony youtube channels and forums, but the moment they do the same to us it's suddenly cyberbullying? You can say that for the comments, but not for the channel itself. Second, there are plenty of good factual reasons to hate bronies. Among them are the fact that most of them are militant atheists who along with their atheism, see themselves as somehow morally or intellectually superior for watching a little girl's show. Second is the fact that many of them are obnoxious with their fandom. I've personally had a friend spam the lyrics to the newest MLP episode to me on steam, and it was annoying as hell.

There exist plenty of reasons to hate bronies. The sooner you are able accept that, the better.

Thank you. Good to see some people are able to look at the fandom objectively.

Sorry, though it may get me pitched out of the thread, but I must say there is nothing objective about hatred, whether it's aimed at Bronies, or has a racial or religious base, or any other origin, be it knee-jerk or inculcated.  Hatred is always counterproductive, and all to often rebounds on those who hate.

Dislike is a different thing.  Dislike has reasons, (usually) - it can be objective.  But hatred is not objective and has little or no reasoning behind it.  Hatred is corrosive to the soul of the hater.  The hater sees persecution where none exists.

When I first got into MLP FIM I went to You-Tube to see pony stuff.  And there was a lot, yes.  But the hostile comments were unreal.  Now I either don't look at pony vid on You-Tube, or I simply don't read the comment threads.  Inserting logic or reason has no effect on the rabid anti pony/Brony types.

I had hoped for better on this forum, and I do think it is better here.  But this will be my last post on this thread, as it is just going in those same nasty circles.  Too bad.  It could have been better.

Hate requires no reason. It is not objective. It is just wrong.

It is not rational to hate someone because they like a television show, even enthusiastically.

I think this is a deliberate falsehood in order to discredit a far larger number of bronies than those that could be said to be "militant atheists". Also, it's meant to inspire conflict between religious people and bronies which I feel is utterly contemptible.

Woah there, drop the conspiracies. On retrospect this would have been a good idea to put in my OP but this is all based on my observation.

I don't need to go ahead. I already did it.

Yup. Intentionally searching for stuff on a person's profile. That's totally in his face.

How is anonymously looking at someone's profile being "in their face"?

It isn't, which was the point made clear.

Well, I enjoy talking to anti-bronies as much as the next person and you've done well enough but I hope that in the future, you can do better than ignorant group think which applies only to a select minority. You also support hate so your objectively is effectively nil. I guess so is mine since I am a pretty big fan of MLP. I guess I deserve to be hated for that alone, huh?

This is probably pointless since you've made it clear you have a false vision of me made up in your head but I've got time to waste so why not.

If I am an anti brony, I must be doing a damn good job of keeping my cover. I've made tons of friends [so much they cant be displayed on one friends tab on my user tab], I've become well liked among the community, and I'm having a great time. All of this on a forum dedicated to MLP. Doesn't sound like the typical anti-brony, does it?

So I was researching anti-bronies just to see what we were up against and I found this:

I don't have to accept that because every single reason to hate bronies is, time and time again, full of shit. Anyone who thinks there's a good reason to hate bronies is lying to themselves.

First of all it isn't a slur. It was used only because of people like Chris Chan who were legitimately autistic and were just creepy people all around.

Wrong-o, Pongo. No matter how much you slice it, there's no good reason to toss "autism" as a slur, period. Since Chris-chan made his Internet notoriety, far too many bigots have begun using the "A" word as an ableist slur akin to using the word "retarded." The second these idiots use "autism" as a slur, they're attacking people as someone who's mentally deficient, abnormal, or mentally ill. That kind of mentality is way too common online, and it's crippling.

And BAA is inherently bigoted. Take a look at the name of the channel. It's using "autism" as an ableist slur. Why the hell shouldn't anyone be offended by that?

Like I said, drop the SJW politics because they have no place here.

Wish harder, 'cause I ain't droppin' it. This kind of mentality I'm calling out ain't "SJW" as you're claiming. Labeling people in the form of a slur genuinely hurts millions of people, and these bigots who label bronies as "autists" or "retards" are no exception.

Anyone who uses "autism" or "retard" as a slur or supports its use as one is no less bigoted than a homophobe!

We here have made fun of several anti-brony youtube channels and forums, but the moment they do the same to us it's suddenly cyberbullying? You
What the anti-bronies are doing is one-hundred-percent cyberbullying. Take a gander over why the anti-bronies exist. They hate bronies. No more, no less. And they have no good reason other than to bash bronies.

Cyberbullies are trolls, and these anti-bronies are cyberbullies; they don't deserve anything less than being laughed at or called out for the bigotry they present. The Facebook link over Bioware posting the ponified Mass Effect fanart? Plenty of ME "fans" posted on that page declaring how they were unwatching and quitting ME just because they posted it. Or the Anti-Brony Brotherhood? Or those anti-brony forums that people here mocked sometime ago? The anti-bronies' bigotry isn't something anyone should tolerate.

Many bronies despise anti-bronies because they really do expose their horrendous attitude far more than bronies, Whovians, and Browncoats combined.

Second is the fact that many of them are obnoxious with their fandom. I've personally had a friend spam the lyrics to the newest MLP episode to me on steam, and it was annoying as hell.
You completely killed your own point; you claim many bronies are obnoxious, but then only use one anecdote.

You can say that for the comments, but not for the channel itself.

I can, AND I WILL! The YT channel itself is inherent bullying. Once more, they posted other people's content without permission simply to mock and bully the bronies in the videos. What they're doing isn't fair use, because it's not commentary. It's cyberbullying. The slurs anti-bronies and self-loathing bronies spew in the comments are no better.

Then again, why should I take something from a person who denies that there could be ANY good reason to hate bronies? Love, all you've accomplished with this mini social justice crusade of yours is making me not take you seriously. Political correctness really has gone too far........

You didn't provide an objectively good reason. You only provided one anecdote, and it presumably came from an individual who got a little too giddy over what I assume is Twilight's Kingdom. That's not good evidence to suggest brony hate is justifiable, especially if it's just one out of maybe ten to twenty million bronies worldwide.

Political correctness really has gone too far........

You're not doing yourself any favors by accusing me of "political correctness" when it's obviously isn't. There's a difference between political correctness going awry (i.e., Derpy's unnecessary censorship in The Last Roundup or addressing Christmas as "Winter Holidays" in Thomas & Friends in between seasons six and fifteen) and rightly calling bigots out for imposing ableism on the brony fandom.

I'm not. You're the one that's choosing to perpetuate that delusion in your head.

I was in fact, referring to him saying that there were no reasons.
