My Favorite: Villainous Breakdown---

The villain takes on their true crazy insane self for the big climax!

-Aladdin: Jafar turns into a snake, and then a genie for world dominance!
-The Little Mermaid: Ursula takes on her giant form to rule the ocean!
-Beauty and the Beast: Gaston goes to kill the Beast, cause "Belle is mine!"

My Least Favorite: High School Queen Bee---

"I take it as a rule of nature that all American high schools are ruled by a pack of snobs, led by a supremely confident young woman who is blonde, superficial, catty, and ripe for public humiliation. This character is followed by two friends who worship her, and are a little bit shorter".

— Roger Ebert, review of Sleepover

Regina from Mean Girls, perhaps the most infamous example.

Least favorite

Applied Phelbotinum

Because I never liked the idea of something existing just to serve plot fuel.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AppliedPhlebotinum And because if not done exactly correctly, it is very, very obvious and how obvious it is just destroys the suspension of disbelief.

Least Favorite:

Forced Romantic Subplot - It seems like every single movie and TV show has one of these, no matter how little sense they make or if it fits into the overarching story in the slightest.  These are often downright painful to watch and follow, and I wish writers would just leave them out when they aren't going to do anything to advance the plot or develop characters.

Favorite:

Any trope that you can incorporate without me noticing.

Favorite:

Balloon Belly: Always hilarious no matter what media it's featured in.

Least Favorite:

Strangled by the Red String: It's one of the reasons why I don't particularly care for Garfield anymore. It was a lot funnier when Liz would reject Jon's advances. Having them become a couple ruined it for me.
