ManaMinori 4,149 January 24, 2016 Share January 24, 2016 @@PinkiePie97, Sorry. Had to publish it first. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1zXghKA5FWCf4cLdoLRIYhs593zEW0J8P8YpGp23jBbY/pub?start=false&loop=false&delayms=60000 I love the fact that you made this. Truth be told, I was wastching g3 and note-taking just two days ago, to try and see If there was really evidence to debunk the claim of g3's ponies lacking character. I found a lot. Much of which is also reflected in your observations. I'm still working on typing up the thread ith my findings, but I'll definitely be posting it soon, and throw the link in the FC. 2 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Leave a Whisper 703 January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 (edited) I've never seen the cartoon, but I love collecting the toys. I think it's one of the prettiest gens. There are a lot of unique symbols and charming color schemes. Edit:I just watched Positively Pink. It was cute. I liked Puzzlemints voice actress a lot. Snake 516 January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 I used to watch all the gens on MLP when i was a little girl, and I had about 100 of the ponies, including a few Pegasi which was amazing at the time. I also had books of MLP, and shirts etc. I wish I still had my toys, sadly I sold them at a garage sale. Thankfully, the girl who bought them was a collector, so I know they went to a good home. I might go to some thrift stores and find some old ones, wash them, and do their hair so they're beautiful again. 4 signature by; https://mlpforums.com/user/26424-minikirby123/art by; http://pucksterv.deviantart.com/ profile picture by; https://mlpforums.com/user/36534-prophet/

I just wish they kept all their toys out, they do this stupid thing where they put 2-4 little toys in a baggy and you have to buy the whole baggy even if you only want one thing in there. It's so annoying!! I really wanted a Monster High doll once, but she was in with a few barbies and made the price more than I was willing to pay. Ugh. Goodwill also started doing that a few months back and it sucks!! signature by; https://mlpforums.com/user/26424-minikirby123/art by; http://pucksterv.deviantart.com/ profile picture by; https://mlpforums.com/user/36534-prophet/

Bag them with like toys, so there's always something you get that you DON'T want. DankMemeressio 2 March 14, 2016 Share March 14, 2016 So I was watching The Runaway Rainbow Movie and Spike happened to have a map that had castles, other than the Crystal Rainbow Castle and Celebration Castle, on it. Why have we not seen these other castles in the g3 series?! I think it would be very interesting to have explored these castles.
SixShooterOutlaw 237 April 13, 2016 Share April 13, 2016 (edited) I grew up with the G3 ponies! I love them to this day, I still have most of my ponies! (the dogs took out a few over the years ) Just gotta find them . I recently re-watched a few of the specials, I forget how much I loved them! I am so glad there is a thread for G3 appreciation! If it weren't for these ponies, I probably wouldn't have been interested in the G4 ones! Long live G3! Edited April 13, 2016 by SixShooterOutlaw 3 Sig by: Wheatley Come ask me stuff!:Ask The Outlaw . Leave a Whisper 703 April 21, 2016 Share April 21, 2016 (edited) I found Rainbow Dash and Pretty Parasol at the Swapmeet. There were some McDonald's g3s but I've never been fond of half brushable, half molded. The G3s next on my wishlist are Silver Glow, Sunrise Song, Seaspray and Wishawhirl. ExplosionMare 28,944 December 28, 2016 Share December 28, 2016 When I watched G3, I noticed some odd cannon shipping going on with Pinkie and Minty. Every time they see each other they hug or something and a candy cane has been named after them. They call it "PinkieMint". I guess the writers get bored so they ship their own characters together. I just thought it was funny since there's really no boys around or anything. You gotta wonder what happened to them. Also, who here has watched Minty Christmas? I love that movie. 4 Boom! Daisy Jane 4 June 8, 2018 Share June 8, 2018 Hi, everyone. The name's Daisy Jane. I love all the My Little Pony generations, though G4 is my favorite. However, I do really like G3. It is hard to find anything positive about this generation online, so I appreciate this thread.

Kinda the last movie that had any sort of cannon to it. It featured characters and references from the past two specials, where as Princess Promenade felt more like a spin off. And speaking of shipping, I cant be the only one who noticed something going on between Sky Wishes and Star Catcher. On 6/9/2018 at 7:43 PM, Daisy Jane said: I like Minty Christmas, too. sci-fi-pony 41 August 7, 2018 Share August 7, 2018 So glad to see a G3 appreciation thread on here! It's easily my favorite generation and it's so disheartening to see it constantly bashed by other pony fans. To answer the prompt questions: - How did you get into G3? My parents bought me several for Christmas when I was little. Sadly, I grew out of them while G3 was still in its early years, so I missed the majority of that generation. But I'm getting back into it now after having rewatched all the cartoons and realizing that they're nowhere near as bad as the haters keep saying. - Who are your favorite G3 ponies? Thistle Whistle and Sunny Daze! Thistle Whistle is so adorable and quirky and I love her irritable little personality. And Sunny Daze is like a cooler version of G4 Rainbow Dash. - Do you collect G3 pony toys? If so, what's your collection like? I used to have a bunch when I was little but I sold them all at a yard sale years ago. I just started collecting them again but it's a slow process. They're my favorite generation to collect, though, because the toys are just so cute! My favorite piece of my collection right now is my Star Swirl toy. She's gorgeous! - Did you watch the shows or movies? Any favorites? Yes! My favorites are A Very Minty Christmas and Friends Are Never Far Away. But, honestly, I like all of them. The animation is so cute and pretty. - Overall, what do you like about G3? The huge variety in characters -- both designs and personalities. The animation was also so cute and beautiful. So many scenes that just left me speechless at how gorgeous they were; I never get that feel from watching Friendship is Magic. Also (and I know I'm biased here) I think G3 had the best toyline out of any generation. So much variety in poses, colors, detailed cutie marks, and so many characters!
Khoufu 55 August 14, 2018 Share August 14, 2018 I loved my single G2 and trio of G1s so much as a kid, I was ready to collect G3 as soon as it started. After trying to get all of the ponies the first year, I went for EVERY white pony I saw. I had a rather impressive collection before I purged most of them and sold them to friends. I adore the colors in most G3 hair. I just (re)acquired Bowtie recently and I love her more than G1 Bowtie. The attached photo features about half my remaining white G3s. I'll have to take a proper group shot later.

CameoShadowness 252 February 18, 2019 Share February 18, 2019 G3 was what got me into MLP in the first place, seeing part of A Minty Christmas AND Princess Promenade is what got me into the franchise. Honestly I like some of it quite a bit despite wanting there to be some major changes.

Gonna tell you from the perspective as an animator, their animations weren't good (nor the very worst until 3.5) BUT as an artist I have to agree with you about how amazing the background scenes are. That is known as "Scenery Porn" and G4 failed on it so badly. G4 never let the backgrounds get so complicated and drowned in beautiful detail the way G3 did and it shows. One of the many things G3 has over G4 any day.

TheNewBrony 70 October 22, 2020 Share October 22, 2020 No one's posted here for a long time. Hopefully more people start coming here again. Anyway, since I'm new to this fan club, I'll answer the first prompt. On 6/29/2014 at 11:41 PM, Jennabun said: - How did you get into G3? I've only watched/been into MLP since May. One of the first things I noticed about the fanbase is that many people seem to hate on G3. I gave FiM a chance, so I thought, why not give G3 a chance as well? And I loved it. Currently I haven't seen all the G3 content, but my favorites so far are A Very Minty Christmas, Twinkle Wish Adventure, and Dancing in the Clouds. I wish more people would give G3 a chance, and if they don't like it, they shouldn't hate on it.
bubbleteapony 586 October 22, 2020 Share October 22, 2020 I'd love to get this thread active again! G3 was the generation that introduced me to my little pony so it's my favorite. Personally I think the designs and toys from g3 are best out of any, because of all the colors and their size but also pleasing sculpting. Minty's always been my favorite pony, but I also love Desert Rose, Starcatcher, Razzaroo, and Toboggan! 1 banner by me!
