I know that, though I'm still left in shock that you'd actually listen to them. But yeah the writing style is pretty good for a first review, paragraphs always look nicer when it comes down to reviewing.

Eeyup, that's why I refuse to use number ratings. It's pretty fucking stupid IMO. And as for the whole left in shock thing, I said that that was the only power metal album I'd ever review.

Number rating can actually look quite fine depending on how you do them, such as the way how I used to do so in my old review thread. Center the rating with the album artwork above, leave an empty space, then put the paragraphs there. And also regardless of whether you will or you will not do another Power Metal review, I still can't believe that you'd do one in the first place.

Not a shock because you already said that you owned that album in the Progressive music thread that I made a while back. As for the song in the rock thread it was My Bloody Valentine, I'm pretty sure you posted one of their songs in RD's rock thread.

The general consensus is that if you factor out any Sodom album before and including M-16, the s/t and In War And Pieces are better due to the progression and better songwriting. Epitome of Torture is simplistic thrash that diverts away from this continuing theme they had going.

 

tl;dr, Most albums are better because they are different. Epitome of Torture = too simple, therefore disappointing.

Lately I've been listening to Vader's "Welcome to the Morbid Reich" and Disma's "Towards the Megalith." The newest Suffocation and Incantation are definitely on my list. It's crazy how many full albums are out on YT now. Makes it way too tempting to just listen to them there or download them instead of paying for a physical copy, which I prefer.

 

What I'm looking forward to the most is this.

 

 

Immolation have been one of the best DM bands in the world since they formed in 1986. They used to be all about religion and stuff, but instead of stagnating (like Deicide) they broadened their horizons in the mid-2000s and now attack all aspects of modern society. 'Kingdom of Conspiracy' is the next step. Lame title, standard cover, but the music will destroy as always.

It EXACTLY suits my view of Twilicorn. And one of the best Vader songs ever IMO.
