I own the copy of Book Burner with the Disc 2 in it, yeah I agree that Hayes' vocals would be good in a more punk-ish band.

Yeah I would probably have to pretty much agree with that, I thought it wasn't as good as Colors, although it's still pretty good.

It's come to my attention at how much of a whore that Chris Baretto is. He's sung for a ridiculous amount of bands within the past couple years, seemingly staying for the night and reaping the benefits of one band, only to leave without a trace for the next. Ever Forthright, Haunted Shores, Periphery, The HAARP Machine, and Friend for a Foe all within recent memory.

 

 

I adore his afro and his voice, so it's fine by me.

Well Chris was only in HAARP for the tour, not the recording process. Sucks to hear what happened to the band though, but it sounded like Al Mu'mim was being a prick. Disclosure was fucking ace.

So I'm starting to think that metal fans are really immature...I went on three different Lamb of God videos, and literally on every video, the comments section was just filled with people bashing A7X calling them "avenged gayfold" or "avenged sevenfags" and whatever other stupid, unoriginal names. Like why are people even talking about A7X on a Lamb of God video, I don't get it. It seems like people just love to talk shit about any band that isn't as "metal" as the bands that they like. Since when did how "metal" something is dictate how good a band is? That's so stupid, seriously.  Oh, and then this one guy just said he didn't like Lamb of God, and then all these people replied to him like "go die you faggot go fuck yourself" and that's just so fucking immature. Seriously, shit like this makes me not even want to listen to metal anymore. And I see stuff like this on a regular basis, and it's starting to just piss me off. Why is it so hard for people to accept that others have different tastes than them? Anyway, sorry for ranting, I just wanted to get this off my chest.

Well that my friend is the internet for you, A7x along with other bands like Asking Alexandria, Bring Me the Horizon, etc. are prime targets to bashing on metal videos. Still, I've always hated how there's a bunch of homophobic comments on there. It's kinda ironic too, considering that Rob Halford and Gaahl are both gay.

Sounds like hard rock to me. If it's any kind of metal, it's probably alternative metal. I'm just guessing, I'm not 100% sure.

This isn't the only fandom that does this, when I click on an Aphex Twin or Boards of Canada video people will bash the fuck out of Skrillex and Deadmau5. Yeah those people are immature, just don't bother with them at all. don't reply, don't speak a word about it, just be mature about the immature and just ignore it.

People don't really hit each other, depending on what type of concert it is, I've been in mosh pits before, and it's only pushing along with picking up the person next to you when they fall. The only thing that I don't like about the moshpits are those assholes who stand outside of the mosh pit, and they push you back in. Seriously, I need to catch my breath when I need to.

Wikipedia 1. calls them a metal band, not a rock band, not that that means much. 2. lists their genres as Heavy metal, groove metal,alternative metal, hard rock and rockabilly . They seem to bare some similarities to the Death N' Roll scene, but not really. Anyway, from those two songs I'd call them Hard Rock (though the second one has obvious Groove Metal influences), but there was another song I heard by them which was definitely metal, not Hard Rock.

Spotify is okay I guess, the only thing I like about it is the radio feature. Everything else is kinda meh. Like, It goes offline a lot, sometimes it buffers, etc. I'll just stick to using ThePirateBay and iTunes.

I use foobar (with Facets) when I'm on Windows 7, otherwise I use Amarok. Both are pretty good, but foobar's by far the most customizable one I've come across.

Listening to The Sound of Perseverance by Death right now. It's pretty good, I like it. I probably wouldn't like their more death metal-y stuff though.
