Question for our metal-superior. How did you first get into the music you like? I know you've been into heavier stuff for a long while. Most of us younger guys have had the blessing of the internet to make this alot more available than I'd imagine it being otherwise.

I haven't been in the mood for anything particularly heavy lately.

Actually, the fact that Sotelo is featured on this song had nothing to do with why I picked it ;)

I tend to take the high road, get stoned, and fly low . . .

I'll dedicate this one to Moog

THIS IS FOR THE HEARTS STILL BEATING

Best Megadeth album. End of conversation. Don't even try to fight me cause you would be wrong.

I don't really listen to Megadeth so I don't have a say in this

Actually, that's Moogs favorite In Flames album. I prefer Whoracle and Lunar Strain over it, but as you all know me and Moog can't agree on anything.

I haven't even touched an In Flames album in so long that I forget which one was my favorite

I actually agree with At The Gates being better

Nirvana>Radiohead

At least Radiohead are more experimental and they're better song writers

Death metal>Melodic death metal

Death Metal is bland, but sometimes Melodeath can get boring after listening to too much of it

Ruby Jewelpet>Garnet Jewelpet

Moog approves of your choice of download

Death metal isn't bland, power metal is.

they both are, but the only difference is that Death Metal has very few exceptions

I just put in my iTunes, I'm gonna give it a spin later in the evening. I prefer to listen to electronic music in the evening for some reason.

This makes Dawn sad sad.png At least you said there's a few exceptions. Oh, and my fan club got kinda... kinky...blush.png

Nirvana>Radiohead

Nirvana was okay noise rock and pop punk, I doubt they would have been anything more than a fad if Kurt didn't *kill* himself.

Death metal>Melodic death metal

AMEN SISTER

despised icon is one of the best deathcore bands. They don't try to be too technical yet they're not bland breakdown shit.

A blessing of location, really.

I'm a half hour from Milwaukee and an hour out from Chicago.  Both had fantastic scenes when I was growing up, and that culture reached into my small town.  We used to throw shows from Madison to Peoria, Kokomo to Des Moines.

The internet has been ridiculously helpful in making the music spread faster.  I didn't have the net in my house until I was 18, so everything was keeping your ear to the ground as best you could, scrounge flyers, and hit up those 10 bands for 8 dollars shows in basements, sheds, and town halls.

I've never been to a show. I get nervous when I'm alone in public, the last time I went to the record store I was alone and I almost threw up.

Wow...I'm nervous when I'm alone in public too, but not to the point where I almost throw up. There's no need to be nervous in a record store though lol ^.^

I get anxious and shit, you wouldn't understand. Especially when I go to places that I'm not too familiar with.

So how about some more Celtic Frost? I love these guys.

The top rated comment on this video is about GTA. Look, it's great that they put stuff like this in GTA, GTA is one of my favorite games ever. But I find it fucking annoying when I see comments like "Thumbs up if GTA brought you here".

Actually I would understand, I have the same problem, although not to the point where I almost throw up usually.

So I don't know if it's at the same level as you, but I still understand what it's like to be nervous like that.

I start panicking, double checking shit, my stomach starts hurting, I feel like throwing up, I worry about unrealistic things (like never getting home, getting mugged, etc.). There, I said it.

Time for some Black Metal :V

The first Kvelertak song I ever heard and still my favorite one (Thank you, Moog)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVLZXj51UvI

Also, some Ambient Black Metal. Haven't heard much within this specific sub-genre, but it's quite good from what I've heard

Kvelertak are cool and all but they're closer to their Hardcore Punk roots rather than their Black Metal roots, and yeah that's probably one of the best songs off of that album.

I feel a bit stupid that I didn't mention that in my post :S

Anyways, Converge spam for the win :3

Probably my favorite track off All We Love We Leave Behind
