So I'm just sitting here jizzing at the new Avenged Sevenfold preview that no one here probably cares to see so I'm not gonna bother posting it. If anyone wants to listen to it, I could provide a link.

 

Go ahead and post it anyway, you ain't gotta explain your taste in metal to NOPONY. Besides, I'll give it a listen as long as Shadows's vocals are less whiny and more like they were on Nightmare.

 

Also, just listened to some of Exodus's more "recent" albums for the first time, and I'm digging it verily. Always refreshing to see a group of '80s thrashers that hasn't been going downhill:

On a side note, apparently one of my friends who's an animation major is classmates with "the daughter of Exodus's guitar player". Not sure if that means Gary Holt or the other guitarist, but we were like "Dude, get on that shit! Pork his daughter and boom, instant connection to Exodus." Oh, the possibilities...

Well...certainly sounds like A7x to me. Didn't hear any whining though, so I could dig it. For the least, the instrumentation sounded like it was building up to something epic, so that's always a plus.

 

Still, Overkill's "Chaly" is BEST PONY WINGED SKULL MASCOT:

 

 

Side note, Overkill has some of the tightest drumming I've ever heard in thrash. Respect, Lipnicki. Respect.

I said this a long time ago, but I think it's kinda stupid that people care so fucking much that A7X's logo is similar to Overkill's. It's not that big a deal. And I'm pretty sure it's just a coincidence.

I listened to the title track and it was awful. Megadeth has really been going downhill lately.

That's because they're progressive death metal, other bands like that are Opeth, Athiest  and Cynic.

Death are Prog Death band, at least from their album The Sound of Perseverance, and that's what makes them sound so different

Are you saying they don't currently suck?  I can't say I've really enjoyed anything they've put out since S&M came out in 1999, but that's just my opinion.

The only good song of off either Load or ReLoad was Fuel. St.Anger was slightly better, Death Magnetic was also a step up but it's still not as good as anything they made in the 80's. I also feel that Megadeth is starting to go downhill, Supercolider is an awful song. Slayer doesn't have Jeff and Dave anymore and Anthrax is actually decent at the moment.
