Errrrr I don't recall ever saying I don't like Tool. I've never really listened to them so I don't really have an opinion.

And I guess I will check out Cowboys from Hell, I only know a couple songs from it I think. I really like the song Cowboys From Hell actually.

Sorry, had to get it out of my system...

Screw that, you're MUCH better off buying Cowboys from Hell. Trust me, that "Best of" album doesn't even have songs like "Psycho Holiday" and "Shattered".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsmbsTXDDeU

And this is why I don't buy "Greatest Hits" or "Best Of..." albums because they include the songs I hate and leave off the songs I love. img-1579103-1-angry.png

Anyway, even more Pantera!

Vildhjarta because they're mathy gods.

Never been too big on thrashy music. The most thrashy thing I listen to regularly is Revocation, which is death metal with thrash influence. /shrug

Oh and I decided to give Alaska another chance and two minutes into the first song, I realized I fucking loved it. Unfortunately, the Internet connection went retarded so I couldn't listen to anymore of it :/

Although it's still a teensy bit too heavy for my liking, but that's something I could get used to.

Well now you've listened to them

Lateralus is a pretty awesome album bro

I think it's safe to assume that he listens to those bands.

Uhhm, here's something that isn't too over extreme and stuff, I doubt you've listened to this before. Try it smile.png

Well, he told me that he doesn't go beyond Slayer. So that's why I asked him.

Well it's nice to know that you're starting to break the walls and go into the heavier stuff, it's hard to do, though I think that another heavier band you might like would be Cult of Luna, I'm not 100% sure on it, though it's worth a shot, along with that Candlemass song that Dawn posted.

...well they aren't as heavy as stuff like BTBAM, but you might like it

I do listen to those bands occasionally. Why aren't they on my signature? Well, due to the forum's microscopic signature limit, there's barely any room for more logos. sleep.png

Anyway some Slayer

Oh come on now, I bet you could replace Guns N' Roses with Exodus.  Fine, fine. But some on man, Destruction's logo is pretty cool.

And now I'll post some Mastodon.

The majority of the CDs that I own are progressive, I'm such an egghead :(

Well, at least I don't have a Dream Theater CDsleep.png

>Months back he didn't listen to Progressive music because it was for stupid eggheads

>Now he has a whole bunch of Prog Metal CDs

Oh how things can go down quite funny, though Mastodon are closer to Sludge than they are Prog Metal.

Also posting another Cult of Luna song, because I've been listening to a lot of their stuff recently

Kind of curious now, but Dawn bro, you good with Cult of Luna's stuff

*turns red* The irony, am I right?

Well, I haven't tried Cult of Luna yet. I might give them a shot sometime later though. Are they like Isis?

Cult of Luna are a Post-Metal band so they fall into the same category as Isis, though Cult of Luna tend to have more longer songs and more screamed vocals than Isis do, they're also not as atmospheric as Isis are.

I'm spending my night listening to lil b's new mixtape, so not much time for metal.

I did listen to Silencer - Death - Pierce Me, and Make A Change... Kill Yourself - Fri, however.

you're not hardcore until you have "parallax II" and "all we love we leave behind" on big plastic circles :V

They had AWLWLB at my store and I almost got it, though I decided to go for No Heroes and You Fail Me instead. Though I'll probably go for AWLWLB during my next visit.

What do you guys think of this?

I'm loving it a bunch.

CONDESCENDING DJENTY GOOOOOoooo

Eh, I'd like it more if it didn't have that stereotypical "METALCORE/DEATHCORE SLAM" breakdown. It seems to be a crutch in metal, now.

That was the second thing I thought you we're going to say. The first was "Why not make the other logos smaller?"

Now for some Exodus

Two awesome things I found recently. First, the newest album from Colin Marston (Behold... the Arctopus, Krallice, Gorguts, etc.) solo project Indricothere, simply titled "II." Great tech-death and progressive release.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i6yMjAIf8I

And another tech-death release, the new Fallujah EP, "Nomadic," which is fighting the new Uneven Structure EP for my top EP of the year.

Got my getting ready for work music up.

Good for my half-awake mind before working this overtime.  I like that they didn't feel an explicit need to tune overly low.

Also this album, A.K.A. I cleaned my house some and found some sick old shit I couldn't find for a while.

But Dingir is actually superior in every single possibly applicable sense of the word.

In a metalcore mood tonight, it seems.

Well, yesterday went well. Probably shouldn't have had so many shots in so little time. It's made me like the new Evile album though, which I'm glad about.

Was relistening to Addicted a few days ago with some friends. One guy really enjoyed the album, which is good.

In other news, here's a band I just started listening to.

Took you long enough. No More Color and Mental Vortex are basically the best albums in the already amazing catalog. Grin if you're more adventurous with the progressive sounds, and the first two albums if you want hints of neo-classical guitar playing (being that you're a COB fan, I think you may enjoy R.I.P. and Punishment For Decadence).
