Yeah, I've gotten them better. When I release a full album I'll have those tracks with new drums I swear ;_;

This screamo album from Barrow is the high point for the genre this year's, and it sounds great on vinyl too.

unfortunately, people have been much more into emo revival than the screamo. CTTS is going strong, but I think bands like Old Gray and Suffocate for Fuck's Sake are the genre's future.

Not much of a metal mood today, but I listened to some Mathcore. Heavy Heavy Low Low are kinda odd, but their music is still really good

I freakin loved that Palms debut, I think I've enjoyed it way more than other people did, but whatever.

Well I was in a bit of a Bay Area thrash mood earlier today, I listened to some Exodus and Testament.

Apocalyptica has caught my interest lately, it's not every day you find a metal band that plays almost all their music on cellos, and it's a plus that cello is probably one of my favorite instruments. There you guys, now you know what to get me for my birthday, I want a cello.

I prefer Boris when it comes to some Droney Doomy Metal, but Sunn O))) are a good band to listen to every once in a while

Embryonic Anomaly's not too great. It's just poorly produced, drum-machine'd to hell, unfocused guitar wankery and breakdowns. There's a few good tracks like Abducted and Invasion. 

Their new lineup is really working them wonders in the songwriting department.

 

At first I thought this was the coolest thing I'd ever heard, but it just fucking hurts my head now that I've developed a real ear for music.

Yeah, I'd say it was this. Plus, it just felt like the lighter side of Deftones made an entire album.

Funny, I listened to that same one last night, but was generally unimpressed. I think they've come a long way in a short time, musically speaking. Sadly not many people know of them. :\

Palms is the new group being made involving previous members of Isis and Chino Moreno of Deftones, it's only good to listen to if you like really slow and atmospheric music.
