LOL!

Those three phrases always kind of annoy me since they're used so much.

Are there any other phrases that seem to be used a little too much by the writers in MLP that you guys notice/are annoyed by?

"Somepony" and "everypony" don't count because they're not going anywhere- although the funny thing is that I notice when the writers accidentally use someone or somebody. :P

Rainbow Rocks... at least how it could've looked... in a stranger, more interesting dimension

For those who are wondering, Twilight is chewing bubble gum.

Cliche phrases really vary depending upon usage. "Hit me with your best shot" was put to excellent use by the voice actor in Ratatouille that played Anton Ego.

Many of the characters are verbally distinct by having tics in their speech, and this is a pretty common trope in animated cartoons since it's useful to distinguish characters which might share the same voice actor.

I really wish more people would use

"I came here to kick some ass and chew bubble gum, but I'm all outa gum"

or "the little hand on the clock says it's time to rock and roll"

I just never see them used often enough.

I don't think that would go in a show like FIM

How about " I came here to buck flanks and eat apple pie, but I'm all out of pie"?

Nah, sounds very dirty, especially when you have the ponified mindset.

I only remember " namby-pamby" in one episode.  And that was used really wittily:

Diamond Tiara: The rest of you, I want hard-hitting news and interesting think pieces. No more Namby-Pamby stories like last year's editor.   "Berry Pinch": But Namby-Pamby was a great editor.

I really don't have any problems with cliched phrases for this show.

I'm with you. I like "Okie Dokie Lokie"....heck, I like Pinkie Pie, period! And "OH, COME ON!" is great.

"Okie Dokie Lokie"

That's always a cute phrase. Also, "Bump Bump Sugarlump Rump" is getting WAY too old. It was cheesy from the start.

Cliched Catphrases are a staple of TV-dom.

"WhutchotalkinboutWithARubberHoseDon'tBeRidiculousHA!IKillMeDidIDoThaaaaatAyyyyyyeeCowabungaYadaYadaYadaNoSoupForYouNanooNanoo...."

Yeah, sometime's it's dumb but it comes with the territory. :derp:

Hehe, I actually always found good humor with that line.  It may have been cheesy, and it may have been from the bullies, but it's still kinda cute.

I always thought "X is my middle name" was starting to get run into the ground. It would have been much more awesome for Rainbow Dash to quote G1 Firefly's "Danger is my life!" line from "Rescue at Midnight Castle". Those sound more like words to live by.
