What are your favorite sports moments? It can be anything, from a championship win to just a simple goal.

For me its these three:

First of all, Arsenal's FA Cup Victory, our first cup in over 9 years.

Second, Dennis Bergkamp's goal in the 1998 World Cup against Argentina

And third, Dennis Bergkamp's wondergoal against Newcastle

I have way too many to list, but my absolute favorite is Jonny Gomes' home run in game 4 the 2013 World Series. It was so emotional for so many reasons, and that was the moment that truly turned the series around. At that point, I was sure we were going to win.

Gonna be honest.............I found this moment to be quite hilarious and surprised he was the only one who did it, whereas many players tried to do that to get back at the Giants:

Does it count if I link to this? I would definitely say that those are my favorite moments in sports.

Also my sports involve rocket launchers and walljumping, and aren't nearly as funny, unless you count the time I shot someone in the leg with my enforcer bullet and their head exploded twice.

Two come to mind, the first one is years back when Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfields ear off when they were fighting for the world heavyweight title. My Dad ordered it and some family and stuff were over to watch it and all the ear jokes after it happened. And I didn't see the game but I on youtube I saw this clip that took place at this soccer game where the audience kept shouting "Berlusconi pezzo di merda" which translated into English mean Berlusconi is a piece of shit.

Are you talking about in real life or a video game?  :)

Nice video by the way.  :)

Mine would have to be when Matt Serra conquered George St. Pierre.  :)

Heh, I wouldn't call it my very favorite, but it was probably when my school's football team intercepted a ball from our rival and scored a touchdown, considering we just recently lost the ball in the previous play. And there was much rejoicing.

I guess it was much more exciting when it happened :P.

Mine is when bobby Orr scored the Stanley cup winning goal for the bruins and he did the super man celebration in mid air. It looked like this. P.S. I was not alive when this happens I'm only 12 years old right now

I like this guy already. Arsenal's FA Cup triumph among the best moments of his sporting loves... Aww yeah... Aww yeah...

As for me, I would also like to add Gotze's World Cup winning goal against Argentina in 2014! I'm a huge Germany fan and it just delighted me when Germany won their first World Cup in over 2 decades! They deserved it! :D

This one isn't particularly a "sports moment" but since it very much has to do with the biggest worldwide sports competition there is, I'll have to include it in here anyway.

Mr. Bean at the London Olympic ceremony.

I will never forget it!

The most iconic sports play I have had the privilege of seeing live.

The stage is set: Super Bowl 42, the undefeated and seemingly unstoppable New England Patriots are two plays away from sealing the greatest season in NFL history. On 3rd down, Eli Manning snaps the ball and is bull-rushed by a fierce Patriots defense. Somehow, Eli manages to escape the tangling grasp of several defenders, and heaves up a desperation pass downfield. Astonishingly, David Tyree comes up with the grab, barely holding onto the ball on the edge of his helmet mere inches from the ground, all the while fending off Pro Bowl cornerback Rodney Harrison's attempt to rip the ball away. The rejuvenated Giants marched down the rest of the field and end up securing a victory, knocking off the dynasty in what was the greatest Superbowl I have ever witnessed.

"What are you trying to accomplish, putting yourselves in danger like that? Trying to see "justice" done? Is that really justice, though? Aren't you just doing this because you want a little spice in your boring lives? What's the difference between that and a criminal who gets his kicks by murdering people? You see what I'm getting at? There's still a lot of time left. Give it some thought."

Hey, nice seeing some fellow Arsenal fans in this thread!

Speaking of Arsenal, Henry's goal in his return against Leeds in the FA cup. Beautiful moment. An absolute legend and my favorite player of all time   :squee:

I am definitely not a liverpool fan, but their champions league final in 2005 I think is the best comeback to date, 3-0 down at half time, looked down and out but the first 15 mins of the second half they came back to make it 3-3.. And went on to win on penaltys! Truely a football moment to remember.

I only love you platonically.

Yesterday, I was watching football (Yes, football. Not hardcore rugby) a player on my team absolutely demolished one of the other players and also got the ball, so there was no foul. Was amazing.
