I do the same for all of my self insert characters. They are meant to be me in the world, so if they don't fit in the world, then I'm not really immersed am I?

Since I have multiple OC's, I'll just choose one. And for this scenario I'd choose Shining Midnight.

 

If Shining were to be thrown into the show... It would probably change quite a few things. Not only does he watch over Equestria from his tower in Canterlot. But he's also a personal guard for both the Princesses. If they were to be in danger somehow, he would either eliminate the threat or move them both to a safe location (which he has multiples of). Though I'd love to watch the episode formally introducing him to the M6 though.. (and of course to the viewers).

My oc, Serene Sanguine, would definitely fit in. She's sort of like Twilight, in the sense that she's fascinated by learning, except for where Twilight is more interested in spells and astrology she's more interested in the experiences, anatomy, and sense of self of every other living being, pony or not! I think she has some quirks too that are different enough from existing characters so that she doesn't seem like a carbon copy of another. The fact that she's currently attending college is something that we don't often see in characters aside from Maud.

 

I think an episode that visits Maud's university would work very well for her. :3

Midnight was created by king Sombra to be the ultimate weapon but he rebelled against Sombra and helped Luna and Celestia seal him away.So most likely he would try to learn about the magic of friendship from the mane 6 as a reformed villian or anti villian

Aerial Shot might work ok, I think. Her design's pretty average compared to what we see in the show and her story could make for an interesting episode or even just cameos: she's an amateur/indie filmmaker from Cloudsdale who moved to Ponyville to try and kick-start her career

I'm not sure. princess raredy might make it a lot more....deep? She's kinda like N from pokemon. Interestingly, pokemon had a character called N who was also over sheltered/innocent, like my character was....how did they get away with it?

 

So far she's my only actual pony oc. She's also not a pony, she's a human. I rped her on another pony forum one time, and they were confused about her...meaning....i don't really understand o.o

I'm sure Golden Aria would work just fine appearing in a couple of episodes.

However I'd change a couple of things about her (mostly her cutie mark and appearance) since it's been years since I've used her in RPs.

maybe my OC Andante Capriccio could work as a foil for Octavia. They both are in the same line of work. While Zecora fills the niche for rhyming characters I don't think it would be too egregious to have Andante in because he does not speak in lyric, he speaks in a tragic-dramatic monologue.

Honestly, I don't think she'd work at all

My Toasty's pretty much a more tsundere Fluttershy, so having them both in close proximity just wouldn't work...
