My very limited opinions about this BG pony.

 

Name: Pretty and I really like the choices but I think the length is a bit excessive. Why can't she just be called "Sunshower"? 

Colors: Meh. The cyan is nice though.

Mane-style: Pretty standard

Cutie-Mark: Nice and simple.

  I know! He's one of my favorite users actually. Always been very cool to me! I must admit that at first I thought Sunshower Raindrops was his OC (don't be mad); and he's one of the big reasons I like her... Makes me smile from all the positive interactions I've had on this site :D!

I don't think so, my understanding was that the main thing people got offended with was Derpy's name... Of course, I also heard that she was put into Wonderbolt Academy because of the Derpy incident... So if your referencing that then :D

Never heard of that one before, but that would be hilarious. Drops a ton of stuff on the town's hero. Wonder bolts think she defeated her in battle and offer her a position. :lol:

It's probably not true, but I read somewhere that Derpy was supposed to be in Wonderbolt Academy; but due to the controversy they replaced her with Sunshower...

Derpy is Sunshower Raindrops' best fiend? :blink: Is that canon?

 

I have no idea, but is certainly what the fan art portrays of them. The Derpy Sunshower relation started from a multitude of things. The first was that they looked very similar to each other. An other reason would have to do with Sunshower's motto "helps her friends look on the bright side!", and with Derpy a pony who is very most likely put down by her peers it would make sense for the pony who helps her peers see the better of things to be her friend. Finally the biggest reason is that they dropped a fricken anvil on twilight together. :lol:
