Exactly. Not only is it self-aware, but it's pervertedness often serves as a joke or even the plot. This is great because it means I don't have to take it too seriously, which is hard to do when it comes to ecchi anime ^^

There are a lot of ecchi anime that could be something totally different if they took out most of the fanservice. Highschool of the Dead, Highschool DxD...both of these anime had something amazing underneath the fanservice. They could have done without it completely and still been amazing.

And currently I'm watching Yowamushi Pedal, Haikyuu, Free! Iwatobi Swimming Club, Akatsuki no Yona, Naruto, Yugioh and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

 

Favorite anime has to be Naruto.

A simple yet faily written and charmingly executed anime about a romantic comedy, I'm not into stuff like this, but this has been one lovely exception

Cabal Z.  The Cabal are an alien race of part-fish, part-canines whose mothers - so disgusted by the sight of their OWN offspring - send them away at birth to be distributed to planets throughout the universe.  When the Cabal juveniles reach the target planets, they begin wiping out the indigenous life forms.

 

There's also an ongoing romance - and ultimately love triangle - between the male lead Porutaitan, his "Little Light," and the interfering Roubouburesuto.  Will they sort out their feelings before they are overwhelmed by the vicious Cabal?

I've been wanting to see this anime for awhile. I found it through this AMV (which is how I find most anime, really) and it looks like a lot of fun. I've always enjoyed anime that are a mix of action and comedy. They do something horribly right for me.

I'm rewatching Cat Planet Cuties. Need new anime and still in an anime mood. Not a good combination but at least I still like CPC enough to watch it again within a couple weeks.

 

I have Corpse Princess which I never finished but that anime really did nothing to grab me even eight episodes in. It'll have to wait.

I was watching Suzuka but the dumb in that series pushed me away for the time being. I couldn't handle it.

 

Dunno what my next anime will be. Maybe I'll just rewatch Cat Planet Cuties since it's been on my mind lately.
