My Dad's a cop.

He's been working for the police department for a long time.

My mom has no job though.

 

So I'm just curious.

What are your parent's jobs?

My Dad passed away 2 years ago so unless you count worm chow as an occupation he is unemployed though that was also the case for the last few years of his life due to his deteriorating health from kidney failure. On a happier note back when he did work he owned an Italian restaurant, he was the public face and the front while my aunt (his sister) was the head chef. My Dad has been in the restaurant business since he was 15 and it was his passion. My Mom has had nearly every job you can think of but currently sells wine for a company that specializes in international wines from small family owned wineries which they sell by the case.

My dad used to be an "industrial hygiene" engineer for the state in which I live in, and my mom is a finance director.

Well, my old man's been taking a nap in the dirt for the past 5 years (R.I.P.), and my mother is a Customer Sales Rep. for Heinz (yes, the ketchup people).

 

Edit: I can't say that about my dad. He was my best friend, I can't just leave it like that. My father left this earth 5 years ago, on Father's Day 2009, when he decided he had enough with the world. I really miss him; it was rough growing up without him, and I feel like there's a piece missing from my heart and soul. Rest in peace.

My dad's no longer around and now it's my mom's job to enjoy her retirement like she should be doing.

 

Edit. Sorry I should actually be more respectful. My dad's in heaven is what I meant to say cause that's the emotion I feel. It's the effect of my dad longer being around when i see someone not get along with their father.  I... I don't have father to argue with anymore except the one in heaven... why does that oddly sound.... odd...

My dad is the local Fire Chief, and my mother is the local library branch manager. They are both pillars of the community and partake in (and often administrate) community projects like the community garden and Junior Forest Wardens.

My mom and dad had the very important job of making sure this world was graced by my presence. Well done mom and dad!

 

Oh, and dad was a Marine and later drove a truck locally for a large firm. Mom was a legal secretary but retired from that when I came along.

 

I was kinda late arriving, and sorta a surprise! Not unwanted though. Mom could have starred in a Lifetime movie. Doctors warned her that there was a strong possibility that she would die if she carried me to full term. She told them "Bring it!" It was touch and go for a while, but we both made it just fine!

My Dad is a Management Consultant contractor, so he runs his own business in which he provides advice to firms. My mum is a Solution Architect, which is an I.T field.

My father is a landscape architect, so he is always at a drawing board, sketching out plans for parks, gardens, and new construction.   He knows just about every kind of plant imaginable and I'd like to think I got my creative streak from his side of the family

Think this ^^^  lately though, he has been working more with construction.

 

My mom works for a title insurance company and does things like fill out deeds and dig up dirt on property and property owners!  Kinda fitting as she is a major snoop haha.  So yeah if you ever buy a house or a piece of land, you or your agent probably has to go through her.

My Mom is a seamstress, she does alterations, and other sewing stuff ;p.

 

My stepdad is retired, but he was an Electrician.

My dad was a CPA and my mother an economist/business owner, until about 20 years ago when they both decided to become full-time pastors/ministers. An interesting switch lol.

My dad was in the army for a while. Retired as a staff sgt. earlier this year so my family could move from Washington back to Texas for personal reasons.

 

My mom's job is being a stay at home mother, it's a lot for her to deal with. Ya know, raising 4 kids and what not. My oldest younger brother has slight autism, and other stuff that I honestly don't know how to spell. So yeah, he keeps her running around with countless doctors appointments and therapy.

They now both enjoy the retiree life since they have no more kids at home.

Same here~ my dad's been dead since spring 2012 though he had terminal cancer. Was retired before that, was manager of a bus garage before he retired. Had other jobs I suppose throughout his life, but he was a Vietnam Navy Seal veteran as well

 

My mom breeds purebred Tonkinese and Burmese cats as a at-home business. Then works at a public school in the Special Education department.
