I enjoyed their (if I'm not mistaken) debut episode "Over a Barrel," and I liked the Buffalo despite not being on board with the train robbery / tree-napping at the beginning lol.  I was glad when Rainbow Dash passionately sided with them; it was a neat moment even if I could see both sides of the argument.  Also, the Buffalo look cool. xD

Little Strong Heart was my favorite.  I'm hoping to see her again in S5 or S6.  Buffalo do have horns, so they might have magic.  I mean, it is not as focused for them as a unicorn, but it should be possible.  Maybe unicorns have to chose, Light or Dark, but with 2 horns they can keep bring balance to the force.
