Why some bronies do this?

Deathstroke

Recommended Posts

When some bronies draw ponies kissing in wedding attire "oh yeah, it's totally legitimate!" but when someone else draw them in r34 format they go like "**** you this show is for kids!"

Weddings and kisses show up in kid shows all the time.  A Canterlot Wedding, anyone?

You're not honestly saying that weddings are NSFW, are you?

The people who think gay marriage is somehow more NSFW than straight marriage are called homophobes.

To kids there is a BIG difference between gay marriage and r34, especially considering some fans of the show probably have gay parents. Don't judge something until you've made effort to get to know it and understand it.

Simple: Love is not equal to Lust.

When someone sees an image of two cartoon characters kissing or getting married, that's cute and mostly morally acceptable in the eyes of the general public (unless someone has a serious issue with it, it which case that's their problem). When those same character are suddenly drawn having gratuitous sex, that's indecent and/or obscene especially considering that they're from a kid's show.

I'm afraid to ask ... But why does a gay marriage image make someone a sick bastard?

That's because it IS totally fine.

I thought he had a legitimate question, then apparently love between those of the same sex is now r34 for some.

Geez...

<Opinion>

Ok, kissing in public (be it same sex, opposite sex, transgendered, etc) is a perfectly acceptable display of affection. Marriage in all these combinations and spectrum is also acceptable and to be applauded when it leads to long fulfilling love. Having sex in public ... well ... not so much.

Does that draw a enough of a specific distinction? There is one you know.

Yes i am, got a problem with it?

Holy sh*t friend, I suggest you maybe not dig yourself a deeper hole?

I agree that it's extremely odd that some bronies look at some things (like grimdark) and nobody bats an eye, buy when they look at porn, everyone loses their god damned minds...But that's where my agreeing with you ends.

Wow.  Usually people try to defend their bigoted opinions with some sort of ridiculous excuse, but nope: you just flat out admit it without any justification as if you're proud of it.

I really don't understand.  If this is such a shock to your worldview, why watch the show?  Acceptance, love, and harmony are woven into the very fabric of Equestria.  There is no bigotry in the show, because it simply doesn't fit.  Ponies don't give a flying rat's rump what's happening in someone else's life, so long as all ponies involved are happy.  Personally, I think we have a lot to learn from them.

But I'm getting off-topic.  If you can't accept something like this,  an expression of harmony no matter what genders are involved, why watch the show?  Why be part of a fandom that is built on love, tolerance, and acceptance?

I'm not trying to start a fight.  I just want to understand your point of view.

You gotta admit it's very impressive, he doesn't give a flying sh*t about hiding his opinions as "past experiences" or some equally dumb excuse, he just straight up went full "COME AT ME BRO" mode.

Can't even get mad, it's impressive.

I've kissed my boyfriend multiple times in public, and for the most part, no one bats an eye. Though there are the couple homophobes that just gave us a "cringe" look. Like, grow up..it's the 21st century. Be open minded. You'll get along with people better. Plus, it doesn't affect you, so why the weird looks?

On topic, kissing =/= R34. Kissing is merely a way of showing affection, no problem at all showing that off in public. Whether it be a straight couple or a LGBT couple. Just when you get homophobes that don't like it and have to make a big fuss about it, then that's when the problem starts. R34, however, is on a totally different level, heck it's not even in the same game.

As far as "A Canterlot Wedding" is concerned...it was merely a cute gesture in the show, plus they were getting married. What's there to fuss about? Nothing.

Okay, look.

I don't agree with this dude, but saying that you HAVE to love and tolerate everything just because of your impeccable taste in cartoons is plain silly.

Not defending his opinion, just putting that out there

I think it's pretty hypocritical considering the homophobic slurs uttered to us so often.
