I’m wondering why I wasn’t mentioned in either of your last posts.  Also, @Moonlit you never seemed to have reacted to my last post at all.  Charlie was talking about cutting off Ziggy’s broken limb and talking about having one fall off at some point.  I thought that would at least warrant some kind of response.

P.S.  In case you forgot, Charlie’s a talking stick tied to Ziggy’s broken leg right now.

Oh right, Cherish had flickered out of sight at that point, so there wasn't a chance for answers. Fah'lina just hissed at him, as she is currently not having the kind of track record with ghosts that makes her like them.

Brute Force, wrestling champion from Las Pegasus. (Local champion, not national. One step at a time)

Beefy unicorn with a brickful of muscles that'd make an earth pony jealous, though it costs in magic. her telekinesis is weaker than others, and she mostly uses it to enhance her close combat style. You know, add some extra push behind her punches and kicks, small burst to help her charge in easier, stuff like that. Nothing major, and you can be out of range of most things she does if you have a lance's length or further to go with. She's sturdy though, so hit well.

Eye thing was mainly to cover up that I couldn't find any good eyes for her, so I've put it down to an injury and the glass is to keep it safe and less irritated by sunlight.

She isn't a hero per se, but she does help keep an eye on her town in the off seasons, and I can imagine one of the heroes that were invited could well have decided to retire since last he was asked to do any heroing, and gave the invitation to her instead, thinking that perhaps she'd be able to help bette than he did.

Just a suggestion anyway. Hope you're doing well. ^^ We miss you.

 Don't go about implying somebeing else is a "troll", @Dji. It just feels a bit dismissive. The same could, after all be said of me. It's hard to just say somebeing is doing something intentionally when that kind of perspective varies wildly depending on the observer. No offense to any, but think its entirely possible for @Amys-pmvs to just have trouble communicating their own intention. 

I know a thing or two about living in confusion.

 Which kind of segways into my next point.

  Sorry about not being around. Just, gee golly. Just spent seven hours cooking and somehow lost a whole day to that. Heck, just now had to take a laydown in the middle of writing this here. Self-management is kinda... not my strong suit. I'll have to try harder on that end of things.

  The thing is... how do I put this? Any character ought to be able to be looked at as what they can do without their powers and abilities. The whole Changeling-Siren or what a DragonLord can or can't do seems entirely fabricated. Isn't that the point of roleplaying? Seeing how characters interact when they meet?   Powers need limitations, like all the Bending powers of Avatar, there's things that you can stretch that influence to, and some you can't. Just suddenly showing up and imposing upon others somewhat limits what you can do to each other if you're set on being the star player. The more power you grant, the more you become less of a being that can openly interact with others and more of a literal character. One that exists because of its qualities, not by the relationships you can potentially form.

 And yeah, that's exactly what I was aiming for with Widdershins. It's like as not somethign I've dwelt on, but he's almost entirely physically numb. If not intermittently intangible. 

  I say, One of my rules of building a character is to aim to see yourself as them sitting down for tea & a nice chat with a friend. Instantly becoming aware of another and hunting them down from across town feels a little... unfriendly.

 

   Still haven't gotten any idea as to what I was supposed to do to @dragon4111 's Dragon Call. It felt important but... I just have no idea. The two dragons that did answer did seem to fizzle out into nothing important after some two posts and I have no idea how my character would have done.

 I suppose, maybe that's it. Saying "I sense an Undead" or the previous examples kind of feels more like calling out another player, provoking a response and yoking them to your own undescribed rules, rather than just letting the story unfold. And the Story's the important thing...

 

   Oh, and yeah, feel free to call me a Hipster. That's a knee-jerk thing I do. You could call me out on being elitist entirely at random and the whole Hipster thing would still totally apply.

With the emotional linkage between Changelings and Sirens and such, I think it’s when they’re actually within ten feet of each other and with their visibility reduced. Within ten feet, and a Siren senses a Changeling, they have to not see the Changeling for the sensing to work. Make sense?

Sort of. Highlights is that the town is getting rebuild, and that last night, some dragon showed up, who then got the town filled with workers of different races the next day. Meeko might get somewhat scared with this, so beware when taking your pet out. A leash might do wonders. Also to stop it from chasing other ponies pets out of instinct.

Basically, if you have had Ginger keep to herself the last day and a half or so after the attack, that is the main stuff that's been happening.

Just wanna start out by saying that I would not use troll lightly either, but this is the second time Amy have been around, and no matter how I've tried to communicate and attempt to help when it comes to getting her into the RP, she tends to rarely answer it, and just say something nonsensical instead. If there is an issue I sympathise with her, but perhaps RP is not the place for her if it comes to that.

And no, you're not a troll Widders. You have some coherency in what you write. Now the voice in your head that is written in pink? Yeah, that one we might be able to label. hehe.

As for what you wrote, it seems like I was right in what I thought it was, which basically means that far as I can tell, we agree.

Ancalagon I will not allow to openly know where there may be an undead in town, because frankly, there are too much going on, but dragons have good noses, so a rotten smell that can be associated with that kind (I expect something that have lived a long time to know a few things) isn't out of the question. However, as said, only as a way to know that Blood is there, not an exact location.

As the changeling and siren thing, the problem really is that we have already had it happen before. It was within a meter though, but there was still two confrontations involving @Moonlit and a few other players who were changelings. As such, to say now that it is not allowed will be a little too late. It'd be like if we had a game of magic, and halfway through I said *No Elf tokens allowed*. A bit too late, unless both players agree on it. (I know, bad analogy, but it was all I could come up with)

I didn't think it an issue at the time, because it seemed like something with smells, or the greedy aura things they had going that interfered with one another, so the best I can do in my role is to say there is a restriction on how far away it can be senses, which is about a meter. Also, that if for example a Changeling didn't know what a Siren were, they'd have no idea what was going on. She'd just smell weird tot hem. I had it happen with Happy, who had no idea why it felt like the small hairs on the back of his neck was rising up when he took notice of her.

Basically, at this point it's out of my hooves to enforce something against sensing things which have already happened several times, but you may take it up with @Moonlit if it is. As she is the sole focal point for the Siren half of that, and the only constant in previous instances, I will let it be her decision whatever or not the sensing should be ignored. Seems fairer.

A for the dragon call, I think you can just ignore it. There may have been a time when it had been relevant, but considering the gap between @dragon4111's responses, and how it was glazed over by him too, I think it safe to just assume that that had run its course, and the nagging thought in the back of your head wasn't anything.

Oh right, before I forget: Sensing does not mean that the changeling's disguise fails. For all intents and purposes, anypony looking on will just see a pony being hissed at or whatever Serenade will do. It can well be swung to the changeling's favor in branding the accuser as a crazy pony, invalidating their words. Especially since Serenade would then have to tell how she knew, and that would really stand worse on herself.

And there is not really many ways for disguises to fail in the RP. Onlyo ne I've taken use of was in regards to Null and Void, and that only happened with my own char. I make sure to not keep them near other changelings unless they approach themselves, because I don't want the costumes to fail.

Have I missed some instances by chance? It's likely, I just don't seem to find one.

Ah, I'm fine in letting it go.   ...Mostly. Just... these issues I'm perhaps taking a bit personally.

 Like, I'm sure you can all guess that it's quite hard not to god-mod as a Draconequus. They are gods, and they are modifying after all! Halibut, forcing yourself on others with a perky "Howdy-Doo! Now deal with me!" is kind of the basis for Widders's character after all. So it bothers me as to where the line of just outright forcing others to play by your game is.

  Changeling stuff is kinda iffy with me to. Ambie should, by all accounts, technically count as one, but not entirely. As he doesn't really have a basic form to revert back to or really any shapeshifting capabilities to interfere with. As I'm sure I've probably touched on already. In my case, its more of like, a learned skill rather then a genetic trait of magic. As I'm sure its probably just as much a grey area with a Human-changeling being perhaps slightly different from Insectoid-Horse changeling. 

 If you haven't noticed by now, my author's a bit of a major prick. However we've learned to define that term, of course.  Ah, shaddap you.

why we not allowed changelings or sirens? Blood knows the difference between a changeling and pony coz they smell different. I'm doubtful a changeling would pretend to be blood since they wouldn't exactly eat a pony.

Sirens don't affect Blood. Unless they are carrying a big piece of meat, then she will follow them, if they start singing to her she will just get bored and move on. Zombies do courtship feeding, not courtship singing.

Lock a hungry zombie in a room with a changeling, they can make it change rather quickly

Blood could prove it was a changeling, just rip its leg off, and watch it try to imitate a three legged pony. Or lay on the floor writing around in agony. Though I think as much as sirens and changelings are disliked murder is a bigger no-no

Well Ancalagon's sense of smell is great. but he can differentiate the smells. From those of the undead, to the living. There is a limit to what he could do. He can't control weather, he can't control water.

I see the shape-changing thing as being genetic trait, though mastering it is another thing entirely. Regular drones could likely just do it per instinct, as frankly, they're drones, they're likely not made to think much when the hivemind is in play. And even if they are, they will more than likely have some in the hive who teaches them how to do things such as change shape or use their magic.

Ambie I kind of thought as not having that specific genome, or at least, it's mutated. That's why he can change colors, but not shapes, and it generally seems like it's not under his control.

Control is also the issue for Brittle. She is mostly changeling, and she does have the initiate skill of shapeshifting, however she have no control over it. She didn't have anyone who could teach her, so it goes down to instinctual reactions, like with fear, nervousness, etc. Triggering her fear is how the circus got her used for the show, and it generally is also what happens to her these days, when someone jumps her for example.

It is also why she doesn't know how to use her horn. It was never required in the circus, and she haves no memory of her life before that, so any potential training of that would be gone. I do have to explore random bursts of levitation though, to also coincide with random stuff she can't control... I have to remember that. (Also, no spoilers on whatever she actually were a unicorn before her somewhat-conversion. Still hush hush)

Happy is different, in that he had a hive teach him this. He spend years with the hive after he was caught and converted, learned how to use his magic and shapeshifting to make him an effective scout for his queen. Despite the human side of his mind and body, he is pretty close to a regular changeling really.

 What I will do, is grant Blooddrops the trump card over Changelings. Zombie beats Shapeshifter. They still are organic creatures. Like as not, they're by no means meaty enough for her to care to finish the meal, but hey, it'd work. Also, Zombie Changeling sounds so absolutely Metal. Needs to be a band name, lol!

 Ancalagon probably can't work that way though. You don't get to be his age by being susceptible to disease or natural routes the zombification route would take. At most, I can see his foot getting infected, him grunting in annoyance at it and just chewing his foot off to stop the spread.

Nah, that's not really what it is there. It's not just for entertainment. It's like Tonimancy.... or like hypnosis. If Blood Drops has working ears or any semblance of intelligence, then she's open to suggestion from magical means like this. I have to give the flag to Siren in this Versus match.

 In fact, magic supplies quite a few means to keep a zombie at bay by never having to come anywhere near enough for physical contact. We've seen Twilight encase others in magic and levitate them harmless into the air well enough anyway.

Let me make one thing abundantly clear: I will not allow a full sized Ancalagon in this RP. He will either stomp out the entirety of Ponyville in one step, or when he walks, we will literally have natural disasters like earthquakes. If you want this fight, it will be outside of Equestria. I'm sorry if this sounds a little harsh in it, but I have tried to put it gently a lot of times, and there comes a point where I have to be a little more... Direct. That line goes with mass scale extinction events, like full scale zombie apocalypses, or something that will make Attack of Titan look like midgets were acting it out.

I know you veered away from it, but there seemed to be a line going towards it, and I just wanted to make sure to stomp it out before there were a fire. Dragon Lord size however, is perfectly acceptable. It will cause some rumbling, and.. *sigh* more damage to Ponyville... But it won't end in earthquakes. Just try not to kill anypony, alright?
