(Poor Blood you asked her a question, she had to use her brain on XD)

Blood blinked at the Dragon taking her seriously. She didn't do humor, wouldn't even know it if it hit her. She studied the dragon,  she didn't look like a changeling, but then she wouldn't if she was a changeling. This was a issue, she thought about how she could solve the issue. If it were a changeling, and you threw something at it, would it turn back into a changeling? or would it still look like a dragon?. She didn't want to actually throw something at a potential dragon either.

"Prove you're a real dragon, you might be a changeling, a really really good one, in disguise." she remarked stupidly, her breath having the faint trace of blood on it. She then blinked "Though, you would have to be a big changeling, since they not too good with size adjustments" she remarked, giving a second whiff of blood scent. "Unless your a group of changelings, somehow" she argued, then she blinked loosing her train of thought. This was very confusing.

She backed away as the dragon opened the bag, still thinking she was getting put into it by the potential dragon-changeling. She moved closer realizing it was already full of something, books. She blinked, she was probably a dragon, changelings didn't have books as far as she knew. "oh ok, you're not a changeling" she said admitted finally. The blood smell continues every time she talked.

Blood nodded, she was reassured she wasn't going to get eaten. She blinked slightly sleepily, she wasn't used to using her brain this much. She tried to think off another question to ask this dragon, something blood related. She had just the question, then realized she was getting sniffed by the dragon, Didn't dragons have good noses? she blinked, maybe she could smell her last meal. Blood Pudding, that was a good meal. She tried not to drool, and sort of succeeded.

"I've not been near any-pony that's been hit by any debris" she remarked. "I would remember if any pony got any blood on me too" she added. She blinked at the dragon, she wanted to ask her question however before she could; She burped into the dragons face, not intentionally, since she was still being sniffed. Releasing a large amount of gas from her stomach, in that would probably be some blood related smell from her pudding she had eaten earlier. "Sorry, I'm gassy. Late lunch" she explained

She then proceeded to ask her question like nothing had happened "So how good is you're nose? can you smell everything?" she asked. "what do dragons eat as well, did you used to eat ponies before we became non eatable? do you eat other things? pony food things?" she added.

Fortunately for Omen, she didn't have to look far. Lin was sitting by a dilapidated shed two huts away, covering her eyes and not wishing anyone approach her. The village folk paid no mind to her and she was fine with that; much to her disappointment, she wouldn't know just how her brother would react. It wasn't the scratch that bothered her the most, it was her yelling and her scathing words that she was most concerned with. She looked up to see if anyone was approaching and was relieved to see Omen. She picked herself up and ran to her.

"Omen! I... I just. I didn't know what came over me. I was angry and wanted answers and-"

Sen stepped out of the hut looking no worse for wear. Lin noticed the scars were gone, as if they never were there to begin with. This confused her greatly. The only way this could've happened is if magic was involved, but Sen was averse to the idea of using magic for any purpose. He already had one terrible experience with it and he would never stoop so low as to use it, not even for something simple as a cure.

"What?! I don't understand. Your face... are you alright?"

Sen chuckled a little and wiped Lin's tears from her face. "It's nothing. I've been granted a form of healing magic from those guardians in the cave while you were away. But you, you're not alright. Far from it, if what happened in there was anything to go by."

He knew she had every right to be angry but the way she conducted herself was... less than ideal. Sen brought her and Omen to a nearby circle of stumps and sat the former down. This round of stumps was used for village equivalent of "hanging out," the kind of action he frequently observed in his travels, but today, Lin needed this to help her calm down.

@ThunderCrush,

"Hmm must be serious," Draco stated simply as he pulled out his map. He then began to calculate the fastest route and he then placed the letter into a pocket careful with it. And the other items when he reached Canterlot would be there. He mumbled to himself. "Would you kindy follow me you two," Draco stated as he walked towards the front then around his business. To reveal a trebuchet a rather large one at that.He placed his goggles onto his eyes. He had written down the coordinates exactly. it would definitely lessen his trip. "Have you two ever been flung out of these before?" Draco asked with a curious tone as he looked at the two. The darn thing cost him quite a bit.the thing was modified to accommodate a Pegasus.

"I... I can do that." She looked to the hurt nymph and started to lick him, trying to clean him as it were, best she could honestly think of apart from letting him eat, but he was not hungry last time so she'd not do that unless he wanted to of course. "I'm here, I'll be here all the time little one."

@Summer Breeze

@Blitz Boom

Just when Blue Skies thought she was out of trouble, the small unicorn brought her right back into it. She knew. She knew about the changeling attack on Canterlot. There was no way she was getting out of this one.

Blue opened her mouth to protest, but no words came out. She didn't know what she could say, other than "It's medical", and that wouldn't help much here.

But she didn't have to protest, because the ponies...trusted her...somehow? What?! 'you don't look evil", my flank! She had freaked out and yelled at them a minute earlier! But somehow...they were telling the truth. She couldn't sense any kind of anger, or distrust coming from them, except a little bit from the grey unicorn named Frosty.

"Um... Hi, everyone."

Now that everyone had been introduced by the wooden...something. Woah. Now that she thought about it, Lyriel was freaky. She was a walking, talking tree. She had been too hungry before to notice, but this was actually a bit scary. She could eat the ponies' faces if necessary, but what could she do to a tree?! Bite it? Stomp it? She doubted that it would do much. Blue decided to stay on Lyriel's good side for now.

When Blitz came running over to give her a hug, Blue accepted it, this time ready for the huge amounts of love, letting it dissipate into the air. She would have to get used to this, if she was going to spend some time with these ponies. Maybe her love reserves would grow larger to adapt? Perhaps.

She let go of Blitz with a grin, realizing that she'd get these kind of hugs daily from now on. She looked back at Lyriel.

"What, if I have control over my manes? Ehh...y-yeah, I do. I...got...bitten by a weird changeling with red eyes when Canterlot got attacked. Since then I've gained some...c-changeling powers, so I can change my mane-colour at will. As I said, it's medical."

She turned her manes light-blue again to demonstrate, looking down, hiding her eyes behind her manes.

She was rather proud of that explanation. She had even made sure to pout a little as she told it, and tell it as if she didn't really wanted to talk about it. Hah! Considering that they were already convinced that she wasn't a changeling, believing this wouldn't be that difficult for them, hopefully.

She turned to face Summer while she hurriedly wiped a fake tear away, putting on a 'brave' smile. Oh she was enjoying this a little too much.

"T-thanks. At least I have one nice thing left from back then..."

She shook Summer's hoof with a smile.

"Hi, Summer! No, I'm not a weather pony. I lived in Canterlot, and I did...parties! Musical entertainment at parties! You know those weird drums? Yeah, I smack those in a pleasant rhythm."

She didn't know a lot about pony culture, but in the little time that she had spent in Canterlot, she did notice that fancy parties always had music. And back at the hive they also had weird drums, but for communication. Heh, nice, her backstory was taking shape.

Just when she had finished saying that, she realized that her current cutiemark didn't correlate with that though. A cloud, and music? She just hoped they wouldn't notice that, because she didn't have an explanation for that ready yet. She started thinking of one immediately, just in case.

Frosty was surprised. Blue had gotten changeling powers by being bitten by one?! What?! It was a good thing that those changelings had been defeated quick, because this sounded serious.

"Wait, so you're practically a zombie changeling?! What happens if you bite other ponies? Do they get changeling powers too?! Oh, I knew that I should have studied more about contagious diseases!  Oi, Blue! Bite me! For Science!"

Frosty was getting quite excited. Today there would be not one, but TWO scientific breakthroughs for pony-kind! First the gems, that some ponies probably already knew about, but shhhh, and secondly, the changeling-zombie-virus! Yeah! Science!

@@Moonlit,

Ziggy were about to say something about the more crazy parts of Las Pegasus that could definitely need some friendship help, when Serenade suddenly yawned and nodded off more or less directly after talking. Seemed like the poor girl were tired out of her mind again. Probably had stayed up all night and doing stuff, or she just needed frequent naps? Something to find out eventually. Might also be a vitamin deficiency, but that took longer to find out.

Shushing silently at the mimic that were inching closer to Serenade for whatever reason - though knowing her, it had something to do with a trick - and pointed at the door, signalling they should go. Fah'lina wasn't much for it, but she eventually jumped up on the zegasus' head and allowed her to take her outside. Might be she left some fun behind here, but out there were food, and she was getting hungry for something less sugary and more savory. Basically, she wanted a fish, and after they left, she made sure that Ziggy knew they should fly that way.

If Serenade woke up within the next three hours, she'd find Ziggy there in the woods, at the lake where they had been yesterday. within  six hours she'd be around in town and have a look, and if later than that, Ziggy would have returned and sat in a corner of the room with the medical journal, studying what Serenade's former doctor had written as thoroughly as possible, whilst Fah'lina would be asleep on a high shelf again.

@,

"You're focused on work. Good, we are going to need that if we're to have this town rebuild and reinforced before somepony takes advantage of the weakened state Ponyville is in."

They crossed another corner, and there they could see it: The train station. Well, some of it at least, as there were several piles of things needed for the rebuilding like bricks, stone, tools, beams, etc. All of it looked new, but that were also the point. She wanted to reuse some of the older materials they had, but only the stuff that would work as if it were new, whilst the rest would have to be unused. So far, Clayton hadn't disappointed with that, but she were ready for the first sign that he were slipping to make sure that it wouldn't again. I was somewhat mean of her, and she knew that, but she were tasked with this by the princesses themselves, and she would not tolerate work they ordered to be second rate. Even if she had to assert her dominance over the contractor.

The rest she hadn't needed to do so with yet, though that may have something to do with the icy stare she tended to send towards trouble, or how she were armed, and as the civilians had seen, well versed with how to use said weapon.

If it were fear that gripped a few, she'd handle that afterwards, but for now, there were a job to do, as could be seen by the stream of unicorns, pegasi and earth ponies that came and took materials from the stack like a well oiled machine. It had potentially something to do with whom she had put in charge of this too, as no matter how strangely she behaved - at least in Last's eyes - Rarity were a pony that had a good overview of things, and she would be able to send things where they were needed. Soon as she had been told a few times that a first priority were not her shop that were. They'd get to that part of town later.

"Rarity, are things going as planned?"

The pony  turned in her fabulous fashion as always, and looked at Last with a minor smirk on her muzzle.

"Of course darling. Why, they barely even need oversight anymore."

In fact, Rarity's want to go back to her shop had so far been nullified to not even seeing what, or if, there were any damaged to it. She had been kept busy running this part of the operation. Though, much as it irked her, she had to admit that it was for the better. They couldn't delay the rebuilding more than they needed to after all.

"Perhaps not, but I'm not taking the chance. But in any case, this here's Gordan, he needs to be set to work with something."

Rarity looked at the other pony and shook her head.

"Nono dear, that attire simply won't do. it's so outlandish and-"

"Rarity!"

The voice wasn't raised much, but it were enough to get the point across when combined with the look she sent the mare. Last may owe Rarity a favor for freeing Princess Luna when they had, just as she did her friends, but right now she didn't have the time for that.

"Very well, we'll discuss this later. But for now, I suppose you could help me see if everything were on the last train Gordan, yes? I simply do not have the time to oversee everything."

"He's all yours then. And Gordan? Good luck with that one."

With that, Last started to walk away from the high stung pony and the train station, but stopped a little to turn back and look at the poor sap she had set with Rarity.

"If you need me, look at the north side of town. If I'm not at the clock tower, the others there know where to find me."

The clock tower wasn't finished completely, unfortunately, as they hadn't gotten the clock parts back yet from the ponies who went to the forest to retrieve them, but the structure were more or less complete. The workers she had on the current shift were doing well under the builders she had managing them at site, and would do so for about... five hours more, until their shifts would be up and the next ones were to come in.

The number of volunteers to help increased as the hours had passed, so they could keep more on each shift and work more efficiently, but she still kept it at this to ensure that everypony had the chance to catch up on some sleep and checking in on their friends and families, so they ran eight hour shifts and then changed around between the two groups then. So far they hadn't gone through a shift, but they would eventually, and when that time came, she needed to ensure that all the managing roles were filled too so things kept going smoothly, which not all had been yet.

She still needed another to head the roofers, and one to handle the wares at the train station, but she had a few options for at least the first that she waited to hear back from currently. As for the train station... Well, Gordan were there now. Perhaps Rarity could whip him into shape regarding that job, figuratively speaking.

And speaking of Rarity, the pony in question didn't wait until Last were out of sights before she turned to Gordan and looked him over again, wanting to say something about at least some mane dye, but keeping it for now.

"What we must not live with for the sake of Ponyville sometimes. But, I digress. Shall we?"

                       ================================================================================

@@BloodDrops,

Nerzhei's eyes narrowed at the pony she were speaking with.

"Our noses are good. Like if you breathe in our faces, we can tell what you recently ate."

She went a few inches closer and lowered her voice to make sure that only Blood could hear her as she went on.

"Follow me away from the high streets, and I will give you a chance to explain why you drink blood before I call you out. I am willing to listen, but until I know better, you're simply a blood drinker, and those spell problems more often than not. And don't try something unless you wish to be exposed."

After that, she rose up and with a more casual voice started to speak as if she had not just given Blood an ultimatum.

"As for your other question, there have been some stories of dragons eating ponies before the treaty all those years ago, but that tended to be seen upon as the ultimate sort of revenge for something bad done to them, as again, your kind are stringy and doesn't taste all that good to us. We prefer game and vegetables."

She didn't say more than that yet, but just looked over towards an abandoned alleyway, before the feeling of Lotus climbing her were felt and she looked down to find the bunny had gotten roughly halfway up and gave her a hand to get up on her right shoulder. Bunnies might not have claws to assist them, but they did have strong legs, and by using them to jump to Nerzhei's bag, then swing towards one of her pockets, it helped her upwards a little by little.

Sure, she could just tug on her leg and get a full lift up, but the little thing were too stubborn for that most days. Especially when others were around that could see her.

@@EQ_Theta,

Hmm, this was closer than she had expected.

From what she had seen earlier, Omen had expected Lin to at least run to the edge of town, or potentially using a minor rift to get some miles away, but this distance she could have simply walked, and in fact, her going through her gate actually took more time, and made it so that Sen had gotten there at the same time. Strangely unhurt though.

He went to say that some kind of minor healing magic had been used on him from the spirits of their former encounter, which puzzled her a little, but she supposed that if they could add energy to Lin, they could do something to Sen too. They had a good deal of time alone with him whilst her and Lin were going towards the well, so everything were possible she presumed, and since it meant he weren't hurt anymore, perhaps it was just something to be satisfied about and not question too much. Magic and all that.

"Xin did something that made her angry, and she lashed out. Is this not normal? Or is this unusual for her in particular?"

Omen looked to Sen for answers, still transfixed on his face, waiting to see if perhaps blood would burst forth shortly or something similar, but hoping that the only thing that would escape his head would be words. Answers in particular, but it might also be a song. Ponies tended to burst into songs at random times, so she could see others doing that too maybe?

"Okay then, let's get the last bit of way done then. We're almost there."

Florence let go of Zen and returned the box on the ground to her back. It really would be easier to just fly with this, but she couldn't just leave Zen like this, and besides, the point were pretty moot at this point as they'd be there in a few minutes. Though, just as they got near the doors to the surprisingly calm hospital - not as many had gotten damaged the day before really, so after most had been in for checks, the hectic overcrowding had subsided - Florence asked a question of Zen.

"Who is Cherry Blossom, if you don't mind me asking? Another monk?"

She stole a glance towards the hospital, wondering if the overcrowding were the only thing that had changed here, but doubting that the little hour she had been away had made a difference the way she hoped it would. The doctors had told her it could be days, or even weeks considering how close it had been too, but still...

@@Frosty Frost,

@@Summer Breeze,

Lyriel gently took a hand towards Summer to calm her down a little.

"Easy there my little friend, I can show you. It is not as impressive as our new companion over here, but if you insist."

As She looked down at Summer, Lyriel's hair started to grow longer, and change colour from the lustrous green it were now towards a more brown, dry color. Small leaves of the same color spawned here and there in the process, and some of the branches that sprung from her started to look bare as the leaves on them vanished, and gave further credence to a look that fitted more of an autumn tree, than the summer one she normally resembled more.

"As I said, it is nothing special. I simply change my appearance a little to blend in with the changing seasons. I could do more, but that would require too much time, though you should look forward to winter. I do enjoy the appearance I can take on then."

She looked to the side and saw the hugging Blitz finally let go of Blue, whilst a warm smile spread on her lips. They were strange creatures, these ponies, but things like this kept making a warm  feeling swell in her chest, and the thought emerge about how following these small beings were the right thing to do, no matter how worried she might be of the unknown ahead of them.

It wasn't something she got to think much further about as she focused on listening in to what Blue said about her ability to change her hair, and mentioning that word again. Changeling. Not a good being from what she could gather, especially not if it had bit her and infected her with something, but it weren't really saying much about them yet. Perhaps something to ask about?

"So you got infected by a bug pony? Strange, but it looks cool, and it's pretty with the fire. I love fire. Never made green fire, but normal fire is still good. Can melt all sorts of stuff there, or light fuses of a fun kaboomie.! Bombs or fireworks, both good, but most like the fireworks. You've seen some fun fireworks at your parties Blue? Huh? Huh? Huh?"

Blitz were going hyper again and started to run around in circles once more as she spoke to Blue. Namely around Blue, which were the first thing that Lotus saw as she came jumping over a pile of sand and got faced with the strange behavior. Considering she put her head in her paws and shook slowly, it didn't appear as if her thoughts on at least that pony in particular were very high, but she could be a little judgemental at times.

Blood blinked at her, she glanced around at the other ponies nearby and then returned her gaze back to the dragon. "You wouldn't dare, besides they wouldn't believe you anyway" she snorted. She then frowned at the dragon, she would probably leave this town tonight, and go somewhere bigger, maybe Canterlot perhaps. She then blinked, though she did still have those blood packets in her bag, that might cause some issues. It might just be better to talk to the dragon, she blinked again, "fine" she grumbled, how could she explain her unique trait.

She then moved though the crowd until she trotted though the abandoned alleyway, this alleyway wasn't that far from her own house. A plan popped into her head. She glanced back at the dragon, she had got stuck behind a market pony pulling a cart. Blood gave the dragon a evil grin and then sidestepped down a alleyway, she trotted quickly until she got to her house, it wasn't hard to find, it was decorated pure red, among the yellows and pinks of the other houses, she then opened the door and quickly shut the door. She began to frantically pack a travel bag. She would return here for the rest of the stuff, when it was safe to do so.

She put all her stolen blood packs into it, along with several other essential items, she would need . She then opened her door and stepped out, looking around to see if the dragon had followed her, surely she would have given up by now.

It also could've been that Misty wanted comfort from Astral, Astral thought that was the case, so she wrapped a hoof around Misty and pulled her in for the hug. Misty still hugging Astral's side. "I'm glad I've gone through worse than that, you tried to get physical wings through blood magic, which I hadn't done, you got a demon thing in your head, which-" she had to pause in order to think about it. "-hadn't happened to me." She paused for a moment. "But I tried to resurrect the dead, nearly killed myself doing it, and almost put myself into a eternal coma and also created a demon, having to kill it."

Misty looked at Chow, leaning her head over in order to do it. "Astral, Chow?" She wouldn't continue until both of them looked Misty's way. Astral turns to look to her first, Misty continues once Chow does as well, possibly creating some awkward silence before Misty decides to speak anyways. "I thought we all agreed not to talk about depressing things, right?"

Astral turned to look at Chow. "Oh, right." She leaned back onto the seat. "We did." She turned her head to Misty. "I wasn't trying to do that."

"I know, although at it's heart it was you, you mentioning your dead mother Since you've constantly brought up your dead mother for the past month, not just when Chow, Null or Void, or anypony met us."

She slumped forward. "It's hard to let it go, beyond a scope I can discribe, to know that you could've brought back loves ones. Like my mother, trying to stop her death by bringing her back from death. I failed, but I knew it was possible. But I also knew it would permanently corrupt me, it was literally you, interrupting my final attempt, that stopped me." She looked to Chow. "Thanks, again."

"I always wondered what was with the pot, filled with green liquid..." Her Cutie mark, Mitsy noticed Astral's cutie mark, the one with a pot filled with green fluid and smoke coming out of it. "Did you earn your cutie mark doing that?!"

Astral nodded, tearing up, she had needed to let some tears flow after that, but also couldn't bare to cry in front of a filly. "Unfortunately yes, I'm not even sure if that's the worst way to earn one." She looked down. "I still fear it might mean I have a talent for dark magic or Witchcraft."

Misty hugged Astral harder. "You just need to let it out." It may be weird to see a filly giving advice like this, but Astral had gotten used to it, and besides, zebras are naturally wiser than ponies, they try their best not to gather pride over it though. After saying that Misty had managed, for the first time since Sapphire Star's death, to make Astral cry.

She needed to cry to, possibly a lot, and unless Chow tried to help cheer her up by talking to her, or hugging, she'd just wipe her tears away while Misty alone was hugging her. Once they'd finish hugging or talking, Astral would speak. "I'd hate to make this trip any more disappointing, so we all need to not bring up any of our depressing backstories." She looked to Chow. "And I know I was the one that asked for your's, but that means even you Chow. Actually," She spread her front hooves. "Do you need a hug to?" She asked, even if Chow had gotten his fill earlier, she had a feeling that he'd need more of it.

"She is brash, hasty, but she means well. I guess what happened in the forest was too much for her." Sen replied while picking at the bits of scales that grew back on his face. Though magic in general isn't something he would like to meddle with, the results of his own self-healing magic were interesting.

"He said he was your friend for the longest time. I've seen you two grow up and there was no way he would stoop so low as to turn you in for selfish gain. It just wasn't right of him to do that." Lin replied, both Omen and Sen were the intended recipients of said reply. It was confusing and illogical of Xin to do so but it left her with more questions than answers. The one that bothered her the most was what could've driven him to even consider the option?

Elder Ghilan wasn't with them at the time, still taking his moment to ask the injured party the important questions and solve this mystery. The previous elder's leadership was a questionable one full of shady practices and being the new elder means he has to clean up after his predecessor, or the consequences of his actions might lead to more ruin. For the time being, there was nothing much to do.

"We've got some time to spare and I suppose now is the best opportunity. I'll be right back." Sen departed with haste, his expression was hinting at excitement as he rushed back to the elder's hut leaving only Lin and Omen.

@,

"Discord never really gets reformed. Ugh, his antics sometimes..."

Rarity tolled her eyes at some of the memories of what he had done, before floating a checklist and a pencil over to her from a nearby crate.

"One time he turned my mane turquoise. Turquoise! What kind of monster would do such a heinous thing?"

Though she complained a bit about him, he had proven himself to be useful enough at times. But by Celestia, how she would wish to do something to cover him up with something that could at least make him look decent so it would be less embarrassing to have him around.

"But I suppose he at least apologized for that one, unlike some of his other antics, so he have gotten better. Between you and me I still don't know if he have really changed or if he is just playing a big game sometimes, but Fluttershy talk well of him, and she do spend the most time with him. Though she might just be nice. The dear girl have a heart of gold, even for those that doesn't deserve it sometimes.

Twilight would know some too, but she's so dreadfully busy these days. Always either fulfilling her princess duties or buried in some old, dusty tome. Why, it's been days since I've seen her last! I really must see how she is doing when this shift I have been placed on ends."

On and on she had gone, but at least she had kept in movement at the same time, which now them at the open traincart that had been left behind that were stacked with things, from bricks, to doors, to beams etc. All of then were categorized well too, so it should be easy to read this and be sure if everything were there.

"But enough of that, we really should begin to get to work. There is still five hours until this shift is done, and we cannot keep this waiting for too long. Go around and read up on what the signs say, and let me know how many of each thing there is, would you dear? We'll get this done faster this way."

"Only a few got hard injuries from what I heard in there actually. The doctors say it is a miracle, considering the scale of what went on, but sometimes, everyone could use a miracle."

She pushed the door open and wandered inside the hospital, where a befuddled nurse stood at the entrance and got a quick shock before she realized who it were, and directed her to put the box down in the corner. It wasn't the first time she had gotten that sort of look around here, and she doubted that it'd ever end. Griffins weren't normal around here, even if they came by now and again, and she had only been in town for the past two and a half days now. Not enough time to not be briefly thought of as one of her scarier kin at a passing glance.

"Actually, uhm... D-Do you think you could follow me? There's someone I'd like you to see in here. If it's okay."

The voice she asked this in were clearly hesitant, unsure if she should ask this or not of Zen, but she felt like she should try to do so anyway. She were going there anyway, and perhaps if Zen followed she could... Understand? She wasn't sure. She barely understood what were going on as it were, and wouldn't until he woke up, but... She could try and explain something at least.

@@BloodDrops,

"You do know that dragons hunt, right?"

Nerzhei stood leaned against the wall, looking down on blood as she had stepped out. Much as she had made a good run for it, her smell were something to follow, and she hadn't even attempted to hide her steppes, which made it rather easy to follow. That, and as Nerzhei had spread her wings and taken to the sky, the path became even more apparent as Blood had wandered in the less trafficked alleys. Easy to spot somepony like this when they were the only one there, regardless of tracks. Although she had lost her near the end, but that were where were the hunting training panned out.

"If you want to talk here, then that's fine, but I'm not going to let you go anywhere until you tell me where you got it. Because there's only a few ways you can get fresh blood, and I'm not keen on starting my first day in this town by letting a murderer run off. They'd just end up trying to pin it on me.

And before you get any further ideas, I can assure you that you can't dry this off on me. If you ingested, there'd proof somewhere, and I doubt you have cleansed everything. At least not enough. so that I won't find something."

She leaned in and a certain hardness rose in her eyes as she starred at the pony, teeth gnashing.

"Know this, pony: I'm a scholar. I value knowledge, and I listen to reason. But try to run away again, and that reason will dictate you have done something heinous that carries a responsibility that you're trying to avoid, and need someone to make you pay for it.

And if they won't believe me, I would just have to handle this myself now, won't I?"

She really didn't want to go there, but at the same time, she couldn't just let someone out that would kill and drain others of blood. Even if her morals were flexible at times, eating your own kind was sick and twisted, no matter what kind of being you were. Now, if the blood were somehow gotten without killing someone... Then they would see how it would look, morally.

The movement of the cannons didn't escape Stargazer, but as long as they weren't shooting, he supposed there wasn't an issue. It was likely just for security reasons.

Another set of movements that didn't miss him were the preparations of somepony higher up in the chain to appear, which would likely be the one in charge. What showed up however... That he hadn't been expecting. He had thought that the ship would be flown by outlanders, considering he had never even heard of something like this here in Equestria before, but a race that he hadn't even heard about before? That was something else.

Still, as Gunnery Sergeant Reverie presented herself, he landed all the same a bit from her and saluted her nonetheless. Just because he hadn't met talking vixens before didn't take away from the fact hat this ship had been part in saving the day, and that should be applauded. Granted, it had also caused some damage, but property damage could be fixed, so it was a small price to pay.

"Officer Stargazer of the Night Guard, ma'am. Thank you for seeing me, and for the welcome."

His hoof went down and he took a quick glance around him, just to be sure that he were still kept under control. It was more than likely, but it still payed off to be sure, just in case.

"On behalf of Ponyville, I have come to express our gratitude for your help in defeating the monstrosity that took hold of our town. Your methods are quite... Unconventional around here, but the assistance you have provided have undoubtedly saved countless civilian lives.

I am unfortunately not aware of the nation of Subterranea though. but considering the situation, I am certain that Princess Celestia will have nothing but gratitude towards your actions as well, regardless of placement or current, potential interactions between our countries."

He were burning with several questions about the unknown nation, this ship and about what Reverie were, but considering he could likely become a spot on the ground in a heartbeat if he started to become too annoying or seem like he were trying to interrogate them, keeping it official for now would likely be for the better.

@@Lloyd,

These kids really were something.

They had both been through worse than what he could imagine being through at still remain somewhat sane - his parents had died before he could even remember them, so it weren't the same thing - and yet they still managed to get through things. Mainly because they had the other to balance up against, and support the other instead of tumbling down the rabbit hole one by one. Or at least, that's how he looked at it when he saw them interact, both earlier on and now, though now seemed a lot more apparent, as Misty were doling out a few solid choice of words that kept Astral up.

Heck, wasn't just to Astral. The little rascal managed to give him a few verbal strikes too about them having agreed on not going all depressive talk again, and so on. He'd brohoof the little one for keeping things sorted right now, but it didn't seem the time. Especially not as Astral started to cry.

What Misty did were what ponies were used to do when others of their kind got sad, and he knew it helped, but by the great sky, he still didn't know immediately if it were a good idea that he tried the same thing. Where he were from, they usually talked, had a spar or something like it instead of hugs - the first time somepony had tried to help him in a sad spell had been a heck of a confusing experience for them both because of it - and the concept of embracing somepony like this were still odd to him.

Still, if it helped the poor gal... Especially after she had talked about her mum again, and how her cutie mark were connected to one of her attempts to resurrect her... He could give it a go.

It was likely looking as awkward as it felt when he went over, put a hoof around Astral and squeezed her shoulder a bit. He still didn't get into a full contact, but it was something, right?

When Astral seemed to lighten up a bit again he went back to where he had stood before, and as he were asked if he needed a hug back... Well, he stood and scratched the back of his head, looking like he had just been asked to share his most personal secrets.

"Ergh, I'm fine. The whole *hugging* thing is still a bit alien to me, y'know? I prefer to just exchange some sass when I need to cheer up. And short-stuff over there's right, we need to perk up a bit instead of getting eachother down all the time. Otherwise we might as well go whole hog and dye ourselves black before making bad, weepy poetry all day."

The mental image of the three of them looking like that made him almost burst out laughing. This was the sort of pickup he needed.

"Heh. In any case, i'll keep the sob stories to myself from now on, unless it gets important. Could even tell you a good one of the time when I got chased by a mountain goat. It was abo-"

The sound of the bell signalling they were almost at the station caught his attention and he stopped himself.

Darn it times goes fast sometimes. We'll be at the station iin like, two minutes now. We should go get the illusion on and me strapped in quickly so we're ready to get into town. I bet the sights there should cheer everypony up for a bit."

Omen barely had time to think on the answers she had gotten and what Lin had said before Sen had taken off again. He seemed oddly happy considering that he were going towards the elder again, and from what he had said, it sounded like he were going to do something important? Mysterious.

Oh well, he would likely tell them when it got important. For now, she could think over a few of the other things, which kept her silent for around 10 seconds where she stood still as a statue. Except for the perpetually moving mane and tail of course, but that wasn't something she could control anyway.

"...Fear."

It was the only word she sent out to begin with before she paused and looked around her, at the village that moved mostly like she assumed they did normally, save for the odd stare now and again from some nearby. Not a place she thought much of still, though a little better as there were less gawking now, but it weren't important what this place meant for her currently either. It were what it meant for Sen, Lin, Xin, and any other longma that lived here really.

"From what I understand of it, Sen didn't do as they said, so he were exiled and removed from history. Leaving him without a home, family or friends, and in a strange world... Perhaps they threatened Xin with the same if he didn't do as he were told? Doesn't sound like a good reason to me, but it would fit what I have been told of your leaders before we went here I guess."

The strange thing where that it seemed that said spirals twirled different ways depending on what side you looked at him on, as well as the fact that it didn't seem painted, but literally part of his coat.

He also seemed to have no cutie mark, which were unusual for ones in their late teens, but how important that seemed to be as he locked eyes with Deadpan were up to the joker pony. She then blinked, well not here anyway, better not tell this dragon.

She wanted to back away but couldn't. She decided to talk, "I'm not hurting any pony, I just take what i need from the hospital, then i move on" she argued. She twitched one ear, she didn't want to pin it on anyone else. Though she didn't want to get caught either, "no-one gets into trouble, they just assume a mistake was made on the delivery forms" she added. She tried to side step the dragon thinking of running away again.

She stood up when she heard the train whistle, almost falling over as she did; Her legs had fallen asleep earlier. "So once the trains tops, who carries the wagon?" She asked as her legs started to wake up.

"Oh yeah, Astral, do you still feel tired from the life force thing?"

"Not really. I've recovered from using my life force. My pendant is alright too." She grabbed it, lifting it up slightly. It was glowing normally, well to an extent Astral knew was safe. "Was it right of me to do what I did earlier?" Lin replied in contemplation. It was surprising to see her brother calmly handle the situation back in the hut, suppressing all of his rage and letting it out in a passive manner. He was aware of how much his anger was building up and yet he could easily cool himself down and let his actions show unlike hers.

"Did my brother tell you how he does it? How he makes it so easy to keep his composure despite how he was betrayed by his friend?"

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see a few young longma approaching her, about three of them. The young ones were unsupervised, likely a small group who got separated from their friends who were playing somewhere else. They were afraid to go closer or to ask about Lin and Omen's appearances and names but they seemed curious enough to want to go closer.
