"Nah, they aren't supposed to sink." Deadpan explained, "From what she told me they're supposed to just...keep floating. It's weird, I'll admit, but it's what they do. So, I wanna honor that the best I can."

"I...I...there has to be a  way we can resolve this peacefully!" Zen stomped her hoof, "If you 'make an example out of them' as you put it, that quite frankly makes you just as bad as them!"

Right now, tears were rolling down Zen's face. She couldn't say why, as she didn't exactly know, all she did know was...something had triggered it. If she had to take a guess, she'd probably wager on the generally negative atmosphere.

"Details are scarce. I don't know if it is better that way but from what information my brother was able to find, my mother was struggling to keep herself together, what with losing us and father suddenly disappearing. Her will to continue wavered slowly until she stopped keeping contact with the world outside her home, then stopped taking care of herself. Her friends offered to look after her but she eventually lost touch with them; what they found in our home and in what state mother was when they found her... I cannot say. Sen didn't mention that part."

Lin didn't notice it immediately but she gradually felt more and more at ease in the presence of patience. Most wouldn't bat an eyelash to the story she told, often being told to face the trial head-on with courage. What no one told her was what bottling up that pain does. It made her feel empty but the more she did it, the more she struggled to keep it all in, and it made her sour. Here, in the company that gave her comfort, she could let out her insecurities, her troubles and someone can point her in the path to take. If anything, Sen needed it more than her. Still, the old way left its mark, and old ways are hard to change.

"I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. This all came so suddenly it's difficult to process. If it is all the same to you, I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to proceed from here. We've got a chance to catch that monster but what happens when that doesn't go the way we hope?"

The salesmare took the bit, then turned to go back to her cart just as Zhu spilled the berries. It was already too late for the berries to distract her since she had already seen her cart beginning to pick up speed. She dropped the bit she was holding and galloped downhill, chasing after her cart as it sped toward one of the spots the builder was planning to construct the clock tower. At the bottom of the hill, she finally caught up to it, grabbing the pulling harness in her mouth and skidding to a stop. "That didn't exactly go as planned. Now the tower will eventually land on the school, and miss Penny Picker here will continue her journey, ending up in Manehattan where she'll have a terrible accident. I know because I've seen this happen many times. Trial and error is the only way I am able to alter destiny. Would you like to try again?"

He ((Lloyd's character whose name I can't quite remember right now)) would immediately begin to feel a comfortable warmth flowing through his body as if he was cocooned in heated blankets and drinking hot cocoa. "Yes, it's twelve bits per thirty count box. In the shop you can get two pieces for a bit as well. I need to get more boxes for her order, so if you want to see the shop you can come with me," Penny said as she levitated two identical bit shaped chocolates out of her bag, floating one over to him and keeping one near herself. If he'd eat it, so would she eat hers, and they would both find themselves at her candy store, which was filled with many different types of candy and chocolates including everything from licorice to lollipops. There were chocolates shaped like flowers, some that actually were flowers dipped in chocolate, there were candy apples, many bins of sorted flavored of jelly beans, nonpareils, rock candy, and just about any other kind of candy you could imagine. The shop itself was fairly small for having such a wide selection, but not to the point where it was cramped.

They wouldn't have to wander far before the first damaged buildings started to show up, though there weren't any workers at them yet. These were the ones saved for later, though you could occasionally see somepony rummage through some rubble or dig out a blocked door to be able to look for personal items, medicine, or something else.

"The attack hit a good deal of houses, but it is taken well care of. Not here yet though. The forepony is clear that a system must be maintained, and since the princesses appointed her to oversee, most make the choice to not question it. I would perhaps, but alas, I haven't met her yet."

A corner was rounded, and then, things suddenly started to look quite different.

Several dozens of ponies working in unison to build up what seemed to be the third or fourth house thus far, removing rubble that couldn't be used, sorting the things that still could be, and working well with the lines of both pegasi and earth ponies that brought in supplies. The earth ponies and unicorns seemed to be a house ahead, whilst the pegasi mainly took care of roofing on the previous one to keep things constantly moving, and both from the air and the ground, somepony seemed to direct things at times, though mostly it appeared automated. Whoever had set this up wanted to go for efficiency, even if it would mean little rest before the shift ended.

"Ah, they seem to be getting faster. Last I were here, they hadn't finished the last house."

Or well, finished was so much said, as it seemed a couple were fitting in doors still on some of the buildings that had been restored thus far, but beyond that, it seemed to be complete.

                             ===============================================================================================

"To the station. It won't be far."

Stargazer listened intently as the alicorn explained the sins of his past on the way there, thankful that Jelly had taken off a few minutes before to help a little with the roofs so she didn't hear this. It were too violent for him to want her to hear it.

It was a rather dark tale, to put it mildly, but you could hear from it that he wasn't proud of it too, and that he had potentially isolated himself from others for a long, long time whilst these things simmered in his head. It at least were what he'd think, considering Senvious made sure to claim that he had been neutral for awhile, and the best way to do that would likely be to isolate yourself from others. Especially as the country where he had done these things, they likely knew him by sight, so it would be impossible to just wander around like nothing ever happened.

After he were done his tale, they stood near the train station and Stargazer stopped up at the piles of crates of the materials they needed where workers came in frequently to pick up things a little by little. Rarity wasn't in sight right now though, but perhaps that were for the better. She could have been a pain in the flank if she saw Senvious, and that was something anypony needed right now.

"There's a lot of blood on your consciousness, but I still want to believe there's hope for you. I don't know, perhaps I just want for everypony to get a second chance, but really, if Discord could, why not you?

Also, these are the things I talked about. We're trying to get it towards the clock tower as fast as we can, but there's a limit on how much one can carry at once though, so any sort of spell or controlled tornado to at least get it closer is the sort of thing that could end up saving us hours. Perhaps more."

The clock tower would be easy enough to see from here, though a clock wasn't in it yet. Clockwise were doing his best now that he were back in town with the parts, but it still took time to get fixed up properly.

"T-Trust me, I have enough injuries already. I don't need to go near l-lava and risk having more. And I don't want to hurt others either."

It were a wealth of information that Storm had about dragons, and some that she would definitely have to keep in mind in case she saw one, but... Wait, she had seen one actually. Earlier on, though it were only shortly, there had been one that had passed by her eye, though it hadn't seemed like an aggressive one at that point. Perhaps somepony that she could go look for later, and try to see what Storm said might be true there? Perhaps if she brought a bowl of something spicy it would help break the ice a little too.

Null chewed on it a bit to think about whatever or not to share this bit of info with Storm, but he had answered all of her questions, so it wouldn't make sense for her to keep this to herself, right? At least not when it came to him.

"A-Actually, I saw a dragon earlier. I think it was a female, and she were pretty t-tall. She wore a robe and had a large bag at her side, that I think she could c-catch a pony in if it were. I only saw her for a few seconds, b-but she looked like she were searching for something, so if I s-should try to talk to one, would that be a good choice? Dragons that comes to Ponyville can't be t-too bad, right?"

She indirectly hoped that he would say that he knew this one, and that it was in fact a local dragon, but she didn't know how to ask about that once she had gotten started on what she were saying, so hopefully, he'd understand the underlying question that also were in what she said. If not, perhaps she'd learn regardless? Guess she'd never knew until he answered.

"Good to hear. Just worried a bit about you there Astral. You've been having a roller-coaster trip the last day and I was a bit concerned that this might be another thing that'd gnaw at yer mind. Ain't good when things keeps piling up on you like that."

Honestly, he hadn't expected her to be so dismissive of the treehouse, but not all reacted the same way when leaving their old place. Some were like Astral and just looked at it as a place that had now been upgraded, whilst others like himself couldn't sleep for several days after moving because it just wasn't the same, and he internally missed the old turf. He'd likely not have as bad a go at it this time, as he were now returning to said turf, but still, his point still stood.

"Which reminds me. Thinking that perhaps tomorrow once you two have settled in I should give you a tour around town? Make sure you know where the important places are in case you need to go shopping, looks for materials, or have a need for some sort of mumbo jumbo. There's usually a store for most things here in Canterlot, and the majority likely haven't changed. A few might though, and frankly, I could use an updated idea of what stuff might've rotated out as much as you'd need to get yer bearings around here."

"Wait! Don't light fireworks in here!"

Blitz rushed over and grabbed hols of the rocket before it started to fire off in here, though the fuse had already been lit, so she had to run outside fast, plant in the ground, and then make a jump for it before shed get scorched by the flames from its ascend.

It would have looked a lot more impressive though, if the fuse hadn't been so long that it had been a good, ten seconds after she made the jump until it were actually fired off, but as it rose to the sky and exploded into a glittery, multicolored ball that sparkled through the air for several seconds, she'd say that the ending wasn't bad at least.

She turned to Blood right after that, and if she were playing with some other things currently, she'd quickly get that away too, before her hut would start to go up in flames.

"Please don't try to light things in there. It's dangerous! I have enough things in there that can blow holes in mountains to make a giant Kaboom!!! and leave the forest on fire. Or as a really big crater. And that's really bad. It'll mean no more fun materials from out here to play with, and the forest have the bestest things ever for this. like timberwolf bark or the funny-smelling yellow leaves. Oh, or the snapping plants."

                                     ========================================================================================

@dragon4111

Last didn't look impressed either as she rolled her eye a little at the things this pony were saying.

"Not even close. My family have fought generation after generation for a thousand years under the banner of her royal majesty, Princess Luna, to protect a shrine until the day came when she could return to reclaim what we guarded. I've never seven seen a Solar Guard until we were relieved of service after she returned from the moon, but what I have see does not impress me. They are too idle and haven't faced enough combat for my taste though the Night Guard isn't much better.

As for the sword, you are wrong there too. It was crafted before Canterlot. It is a family heirloom, and what it's made from or what the runes on the handle means I don't know, nor care about."

"Delta ore."

She shifted her eye towards Clayton as he interrupted them slightly.

"What?"

"T-The blade, it's Delta ore. It is a very resilient metal, so it can last time and magical enhancements of the sort you seem to have, but it's v-very rare too. I've only ever seen it once, and it were barely enough to make a knife from, but the properties are unmistakable, e-even when the blade is covered by the scabbard like that."

He were surprised when Last seemed to toss him a genuinely impressed look, though he didn't press his luck and say more. It was best to know when to stop, and especially since the mare seemed to refocus back on the pegasi again..

"You have a part of your answer there then, which is more than your assumptions got you. Still, at least you're trying to be prepared. Too many trusting ponies around here."

It was a bit of a strange compliment, but it were one nevertheless, as no matter how much it irked her to be face to face with one who seemed prepared to try and take a swing at her if it came to that, it didn't compete with how good it were to finally see somepony around here who wasn't so trusting. Bad things happened sometimes if you didn't at least think that somepony could be an issue.

Ziggy went a little away from the somewhat nervous over how this would go, and over to happy instead as she saw the rising Serenade and how Fah'lina tried to vouch for her from her placement on the large siren's head. Or well, large and large were so much said, as she might be huuuuuge compared to any pony in town, but still had a growth spurt to go through. After that would resolve, she'd see how large she had to think of Serenade. Hopefully not too large to no longer be huggable though. That wouldn't be any good, and basically one of Ziggy's worst fears come to life.

The doctor moved a little closer to the group as the explanation went on from Serenade, though it were strained because of her Siren form. They really needed to get this fixed soon so she could speak again without issues like this, but first, they had to get through this somewhat first encounter between the real Serenade, and Trinket.

"I've known Serenade here for weeks, and she's never done anything bad, but you know how some ponies are when they face something they don't understand, or only know bad versions of. Like dragons, or griffins experience sometimes. It's one of the reasons why she can't just show herself like this to everypony, and why we need to keep this super secret, so that nopony will start to go after her for no reason.

Please try and believe us. After all she's still the same mare that you've been speaking with thus far Trinket, it's just the visual that's sorta changed."

Sea scratched his head. This order were already getting quite a bit taller, but whatever it'd take to give the three of them rest were worth it he supposed.

"Alright, we should try and find a river where nopony gets their water from then. Perhaps in the forest? It can't be near the water supply for the town at least if the raft is just supposed to float with them for the foreseeable future. We'll do all that we can to make sure that their tradition is kept intact though. Like you said, it should be respected."

"Uncle, I-I'll have to sort of agree. I mean you'll not be as bad as them, b-but..."

"Never assume that violence is my first answer. No matter how much I want to string them up and pluck every feather from their body, I have something more fitting in mind for them."

"W-What do you mean?"

"An eye for an eye. They tossed my name into the dirt and turned everyone against me, so I'm going to do the same to them. You'd be surprised what can be done by planting evidence and spreading the right rumors can achieve with the gullible masses."

He gave a narrow look towards the pony that had judged him, and thought that his first answer would be to pummel them into the ground or something like that, and he had some choice words to give towards her about judgement, though when he saw her cry he kept his words to himself and stepped back. Pyhrus might not be the foolish boy who thought everything would turn out okay anymore, but that didn't mean that his new path were one where he relished in seeing those who didn't deserve it cry. He still had some degree of honor left, even if it were warped to fit reality more.

Where he stepped down though, another went for it and Zen would feel Null pat her a bit on the side a few seconds after, before asking her something with a somewhat concerned voice.

"Hey, are you okay there Zen?"

Omen had expected that whatever were happening with Mother would continue as she were told the story of what happened to Lin's mother, especially as she rose from the bed and walked forward without a sound, but it wasn't anger that turned out to show as she finally broke her silence and knelt down to embrace Lin in a gentle hug.

"I am so sorry to hear what happened to her, Lin."

A tear rolled down from her eye and would fall upon Lin's back as the smooth voice flowed through the room. The tear would feel oddly cold, but hopefully not enough to cause a chill to go down her spine.

"No being should have to experience the loss of their loved ones in ways such as this, and especially not at the hands of someone else. I can't imagine what it must be like for you, or for Sen, though I see why you worry about his well-being and anger a little clearer now. To hear that one have done such a thing, and then continue to taunt you, are bound to make one angry. Though I fear that perhaps this is what this elder of yours intends."

If Lin made even the least bit of struggle to get out of her embrace, Mother would let go of her, but if not, she would continue to try and comfort her through her presence whilst speaking in saddened tones.

"If he makes Sen react on his anger, it will demonize your brother, and the elder will make others side with him. Even if his body ends up getting broken by the reaction, it will still make it seem to others as if he had a point to his venomous words, and such a thought cannot be allowed to be planted. Something like that will only serve to make villains out of victims, and I don't wish for that to happen to any of you, my child.

When the time comes where you find this elder, I ask that either of you keep Sen back, and bring this Solasan to this realm. Let me carry the burden of making him pay for his atrocities, before any of you becomes more of a pawn in his plan.

And if something bad happens..."

Mother put a claw on the floor and pulled upwards a tiny bauble at the tip of her claw towards the hybrid longma, though for Lin it should be more towards the size of a tomato. It were hard to see in this place, but the bauble seemed to carry a darkness that swirling slowly around, though it could also just be perceived as being as dark as the night.

"There is nothing I can do outside of this realm, but perhaps I can at least give you a cover of darkness. Let it break on the ground, and it shall be as if night have fallen for a short while. It should be enough to make your escape easier, or whatever you chose to use it on. Just please, promise me that you will both take care of Sen and not let either him or yourself go into the line of danger? I don't wish to hear that any of you have gotten hurt."

Essentially, Mother were offering Lin a smokebomb. A little fancier than usual, but it was essentially just that. Really spoke of how limited she were in matters outside of this place if you thought about it, though other things were likely on Lin's mind.

Meanwhile, back at the antique store, Scarcity entered and waved the former Solar Guard over to her. As always, he didn't waste any time to react on it, and soon after stood over with her, patiently awaiting what orders or instructions she might have to him.

It made her smile a little to think about what a good, obedient stallion he were. Never flinched when it came to doing what were asked of him, or if it came to protecting her, and never did anything to annoy her, like talking when it wasn't needed. A fine, strong specimen that she would perhaps one day rise to a position higher than just her most trusted worker, but for now, that wasn't on her mind as much as what she were to get done now.

"Find a box that you can carry with little issue Brick, we have some wares to pick up. Non-fragile."

He nodded, and with smooth movements made his way to the back, whilst she admired him a little more. Hmhmhm, perhaps one day, if things did not go as she had expected...

It wouldn't be long before he had returned with a fitting box that were lined inside, just in case. A thing that would not work wonders on really fragile things, but on simple things such as this, it would do great. He had even made sure it were the kind with an easy lid attached. Such a thoughtful one he were sometimes.

They would be on their way shortly after that, towards where the two ponies from before had been. If there wasn't a message or an address somewhere, they' begin to track down where at least Penny would be. It shouldn't be too hard, as Scarcity knew a little on who to ask, and Brick Wall were still in good standing with the guards, which meant he could ask there if it were, but they'd be delayed for a time in any case. How long just varied on how much they had to go on.

                            ==============================================================================

@Seamore Sandwich

"Yes. This outcome is not a good one, nor does it serve any larger purpose to let it happen like this. Not in this context at least."

They both had their way on looking at things. For the Creator, that were to try over and over again until he got it right, and for Zhu, it were to look at how it could go, and then nudge it towards the best outcome as much as he could. With some cases he had to act directly, especially if things had suddenly not gone completely as planned and the fail-saves were getting strained, but by and large he just had to nudge things the right way and hope.

Neither of their methods were good on the user though, objectively speaking. The Creator would have to live things so many times over and experience plenty of hardships, which would wear one down mentally more than likely, and Zhu had to see everything and then hope that he could make things right, well knowing that if he failed, it could mean that something drastic had to be done to fix things, and/or a lot would die for no reason.

Zhu bend down and picked up a few of the stray berries on the ground that he had been asked to drop before, and chewed them down. They were rather tasty, which just made it that more of a pity that they had to be dropped, and especially for no apparent reason in the end.

"There are ways to correct this that does not require one to travel back, but it will take time. An hour perhaps, maybe more? My methods are slow, and needs to be considered in advance, so I cannot be entirely sure. Though the easiest would be the clocktower. To wait for it to begin building, and then make it fall midway, so that they can see how it would end, would make them reconsider, and things could be corrected there, but other things could also happen more rapidly than this. Not as efficiently though, and it wouldn't do anything about the salespony. That would have to be handled on its own.

Considering everything, preventing this from ending this way to begin with would likely be the most efficient though. At least from my perspective."

A warm embrace enveloped Lin, much to her surprise. She thought about her own mother in these quiet moments and how much of a difference it would've made. If she had the ability to do so, she'd take the chance to go back to the days when she was most vulnerable and be there for her. Maybe the life they once knew would still have some semblance of meaning. Sen, most of all, would still show his much happier side. His veneer of calm would no longer be his way of shielding himself from more pain, and he could be satisfied knowing that. For the moment, time stopped around Lin, and she felt the world around her was all right, the way it should be.

"Thank you," Lin calmly said, taking in the warmth of the gesture. "But about sending Solasan here to you... Omen suggested delivering him to Discord for punishment."

As Serenade moved out of the water whilst explaining about her true self, Trinket followed her sight by lifting up her head in order to perceive the Siren in its entirety. Once Trinket calmed down and her mind cleared up, she remembered that she'd heard stories about those creatures somewhere - only, she couldn't recall whether it was from history books in school, or from make-believe tales she had for sale in her toy store. Nevertheless, that was truly a sight to behold.

The young mare's expression was filled with amazement, with only smaller hints of uneasiness remaining. Even though the Siren was large in size, she still had something incredibly soothing about her. After a couple of seconds of staring, Trinket brought a hoof to her chin and became pensive.

"Listen..." She began speaking in a stern tone of voice. "I won't lie, this is... kinda weird. Or actually, very weird... But hey. After what happened to Ponyville, I'm willing to believe anything." @@BloodDrops,@@Blitz Boom,

A static sound started to reverb in the air, as a bubble of distortion appeared.  Slowly, a figure stood where the bubble was as the distortions disappeared. Almost as if the pony glitched in the scenery. The filled with a slight odour of ozone as Missklang shaken his mane and adjust it with his hooves. Small purple sparks of static electricity ran through it, making random hairs point in random directions and made his mane look even more badly groomed as it was before. He looked like before, although his calico fur looked less bright and more grey than before and the crimson streaks of his mane and tail looked even more as if they were dipped in blood than just being red. He looked around.

Hmmm, that doesn't look at where I should be at all...

The white wooden box he picked in the castle a certain time ago had helped regain lost memories, but it wasn't enough to bring them all back. It was however enough to make him recall who he was, and also recall who he was searching for. He looked around and noticed the dragon. That WAS indeed a being with dragon blood. It wasn't a dragonpony however. That mean... indeed, there were ponies nearby. That was surely what caused the error in detection of dragon pony spell he had tried to use. It was only natural, spells required time to be created, and he couldn't create something working that fast. He wasn't very happy he was near a dragon though. Dragons weren't particularly keen on strangers in their lairs, if it was its lair that is. The problem was also in the fact that dragons were one of the few creatures, aside from vampires and those with the rare aura reading skills that could tell that he was a dragonpony, and the fact that he didn't know how the dragon would react to it was annoying. So he did the only thing he could do, smiled widely.

Hello there. Sorry for interrupting, I didn't mean to teleport here. I'm Missklang. Missklang Dengeser.

"I-I'll try to talk to Null about it then. She doesn't like if I make p-plans without her."

Might be that Null were smaller and weaker physically than Void, but her little big sister guarded her like a hawk, and didn't like to not be able to have her in view in case something went bad. Heck, it had taken a while to even get them separate whilst helping out in town here after it had gone peaceful again, and if she heard that Void had taken a trip somewhere to see somepony as potentially dangerous as a dragon on her own... She'd end up chaining herself to her sister for *her own best*

She knew that Null only did it because she were paranoid, and rightfully so, but it was something that they had to work on if they were going to stay here, and it kept looking as friendly as it did thus far. They might have to stay a bit away from others in general, but nopony had outright attacked them yet, and they'd been here for over a day, which were really a record for a town where the locals knew what the two of them could do.

"H-How's your dishes going by the way? I guess ponies will start to show e-eventually, so it's probably good if we have a t-time frame."

The lid went off the soup and she gave it a taste, then tilted her head a little before adding in a half spoon of rock salt and a few drops of tomato, then put the lid back on. It was getting there, but it were still going to take a little more time. 4-6 minutes likely.

On the plus side, the leaves in the stew had changed colors, which meant that she could stop with that, and put a lid on. She'd have to make a taste test soon, but it should hopefully be okay and ready near the same time as the soup.

"And Storm? ...T-Thank you for being nice. It's been a while since I met somepony who didn't... Y-Yes."

She had tried to raise herself up a bit and say thanks to Storm for the help and his kindness to somepony who wasn't used to it, but she had staggered a little on the execution as the wind had gone a little out of her sails. Hopefully he'd understand that she meant it though, and didn't just try to be polite about things.

Stargazer looked at the flying items, and told one of the workers to give word to the others that came around for stuff to start working instead, now that the materials were over near the buildings, before going back to Senvious.

"My apologies, had to let them know what to do. And once more, thank you for your assistance sir. Every hour we can save is an hour closer to somepony being able to get  their home back, and you likely saved us a substantial amount of time already.

As for your question... Discord is the self-proclaimed Lord of Chaos, and by his magic and general looks, I can't argue against that. He is an ageless creature that have been trapped in stone for his atrocities for millennia, but recently were released, and is working on getting reformed. A hard road from what I understand, but he haven't tried to take over Equestria recently, so there might be something to it.

I'm not a historian, so I couldn't tell you much about what he did back in the days, beyond the general story that he ruled over Equestria for a long time, and changed the country into a chaotic land where it could be dangerous to traverse. I do know though, that thus far he seems... Mellowed out, so to speak, compared to the stories, so you are unlikely to have anything to fear from him, if he decides to come around. He isn't always in the vicinity, and in fact, I do believe that he isn't currently either. Could have been helpful though, as he likely could have fixed up the town with the snap of his fingers if it were."

"It was a large being, that surpassed even our clock tower in height. That, and the tornado that circled town at the same time did not help. A day of much calamity I fear."

Alonsus looked around, and found the outskirts of his own, crumbling home in the corner of his eye. It almost made him frown, especially since he knew that wall had carried a most flattering portrait of himself, but alas, like many others, he had to suffer a tragic loss after the attack. At least he were still alive though, the wall could be repaired, and he supposed another picture could be commissioned. He just hoped that the painter could recapture his greatness the right way again.

"When the shift starts tomorrow, it is up to us to join them in rebuilding. Most curious how far they will have gotten by then, but with this forepony, I don't think tha-"

Alonsus stopped and his jaw started to slack, as he saw a massive amount of materials blow through the air on strong winds and stack at a point where thankfully, the pony that had been standing there had the foresight to move. He wasn't the only one who started to gawk like this, but the rest resumed work shortly after instead of focusing too much on it, and likely just thanked that nopony had gotten hit, and that they had to go for far less of a way now to get what they needed to fix things up.

"Don't be sorry mate. When it comes to sending your loved ones on, it takes quite a bit more than this to become a bother. As you said, not a warship, so it shouldn't take too long to prepare things. We will need a place to let the dearly departed rest for a little while, whilst preparations gone on though. Is there anyplace you know nearby where we can bring them?"

"It's Pyhrus. Or it used to be at least."

"It still is uncle. I'm not c-calling you that other name."

"Hrmph. Worked well enough for me."

"Alright, cutesy family stuff aside, let's try and keep the air clean before Zen here gets an overdose. Her head's sensitive."

"Speaking of being sensitive, why aren't you screaming on the floor from holding the Spine of Zinthar?"

"Is that what you call this thing? Sheesh, why does all cursed items have stupid names these days? And I can hold it because it doesn't bother me. I'm radiating anti-magic."

Pyhrus didn't answer this part, but he did narrow his eyes with a glimmer of interest, right after he had lifted an eyebrow in surprise. It seemed as if he hadn't considered this a possibility, but did think over a few things it could be useful for now that he did see it.

@dragon4111

Last looked at the stallion about as unimpressed with his words as if he had just told that he knew what two plus two were.

"Clayton, tell your friend here what my role in town is."

"W-Well, you're the forepony in charge of the reconstruction services in town. B-But I don't understand what purpose that serv-"

"I need to make sure the houses are remade as precisely to their old design as possible. Hearing from the locals is one thing, but I need to see how the constructions that does stand in town are to compare, and then see if any of them needs work done whilst we are at it. Like say, the one in the shade that haves half-broken stones holding up the base of the chimney. Might be something work looking closer at before it crashes down, don't you think so, Courier."

Though her voice were neutral, you could get the inkling that she were speaking down to him by the way she made sure that ever word that came out of her mouth were clear, and over-explained things, as if he were a foal. Minus the condescending tone that were.

"Also, I haven't the faintest interest in attacking Long Stare. I fight monsters and villains, not civilians who wouldn't be able to even scratch me. Do I make myself clear? Or do you want to waste your time and try to intimidate me again?"

She really didn't care much for this pony's attitude, as it had gone beyond cautious, and more towards him appearing as the sort who thought she would be afraid of him. Something which would be a waste of his time, as she didn't feel any fear towards him, and wouldn't even if he stood in full combat gear. She had faced too many fighters throughout the years to make a single pony like this something she'd be afraid of, even if she were wounded and unable to really fight right now.

"Likely have changed around a bit. Things changed slowly in Canterlot when I was last here, but who know what it's like by now? Just thinking that even if the stores have changed around and the folks might not all be the same, the streets should pretty much remain the same. Not much of a reason to change around a perfectly good street I'd say, and especially not with all the work and bits that sort of rumbling about would take.

So I figure that I can still guide you down the old streets, see what's still there that might be of use for you, and then we'll see if there's something new and shiny that might be a better option along the way. I'd advise you to be ready for a laugh though, when we get to the places were the fashion shops roam. I always get a great kick out of seeing the overly poncy stuff they push to the front to see if it sells.  Ain't ever figured out how they expect you to move in that sort of thing, but I guess at those prices, they're likely wealthy enough so that they get carried around all the time. Hah!

Oh, and before I forget: Considering everything that's gone on with you two in the past, and especially Misty, do you think it best if I try to steer you clear of the orphanage? The foals are treated well there, but you know, I don't wanna accidentally stir some memories up you'd prefer I didn't."

@EQ_Theta

"Nothing. But I can bring him there, and tell Master Discord what he did. Thought about asking him to use the elder as a toy. It sounded fitting to begin with, as master can be harsh on playthings he doesn't like."

She hadn't seen much of what Discord did that were *evil* as such in her time, but she had seen him play with a few ponies and such that either annoyed him, or when he were in a bad mood, and things tended to get more destructive when that happened. More screams than usual, and she thought that perhaps, if Discord were given a reason to really dislike somepony, it might get worse. Something that Salosan deserved.

"I have seen enough of your master to believe him to be a child with a feeble mind, Omen. He could be swayed to stop. Though even if he didn't, who is to say that he could trylu make sure that anyone would get what they rightly deserved?

No, bring him to me.. It have been a long time since I judged a soul before, but it is not hard to tell what sin weighs one down, and I have some things in mind that would be a fitting... Lesson, for one such as him. Though, it is not up to me to chose".

Mother looked at Lin, and smiled with a heavy heart from what she had to tell her. Nothing too hard for them to hear likely, but some things weighed more on the giver than the receiver.

"It is close to you and Sen, Lin, so it is ultimately your choice. I fear as you say though, that Sen will not be able to do so with a straight mind, and will end being used in some way, so I ask that when the time comes, you decide what happens. If you wish to let whatever law exists in your village, Sen, or yourself handle it, I ask only that you do so with caution, and prepare to escape if things looks badly. If you wish for another to give him a harsher punishment, you know where to find either me, or Omen's master."

Freedom of choice was a hard thing to adhere to sometimes. She wanted what was best for all of her children, and to shield them from what evil they might encounter in the dangerous worlds they resided in, but at the same time, she knew that she needed to let them go. They had to make their own mistakes, their own choices and in the end, learn from them, and she would do her best by standing in the background and be ready to catch them if they fell, rather than control every string.

It did not mean that she enjoyed it sometimes though. Like now, where she wished she could just take this choice from Lin and not weigh that on her, but Salosan had wronged her and Sen, and as such, they deserved to also chose what happened to him. Even if they had to live with the consequences of what choice were then made.

                        ==================================================================================

Okay, so she wasn't running off, screaming, or trying to set him on fire yet, so this were going better than he had hoped for currently.

Granted, she did seems surprised when he went through his stages, but considering some of the alternatives? He couldn't really complain, though it did plant a nagging thought about what sort of things she normally dealt with when this were considered somewhat surprising, but not something that even made you twitch.

Sheesh, likely for the best that he hadn't started to work on getting her back to the hive if she were used to some pretty wonky things. His queen would likely not even have made her twitch much. Well, before the pains started, but that were another talk entirely.

"Gotta admit, you're taking it better than I thought you would. Figured you'd freak out or something, though I'm happy that you didn't. Enough already do that when I accidentally show my real self around 'em. Sure, this ain't a human world and that counts for something, but you know what I mean.

And trust me, never starts to feel weird being here. You get used to it, and might even enjoy it, but there's always a nagging in the back of my head that pounds on that this ain't home, and I'm an outsider. Might start to get to you as well, once you get to see some of the inhabitants. Not sure how they'll take seeing a human really. Been too scared to bet my own hide on it."

Happy kneeled down and grabbed hold of the bottle he were taking a sip from before, and took another glug before closing it. He wasn't aiming to get tipsy here or appear as an alcoholic, so he had to keep it down, but right now he just needed a mouthful of something to pep him up a bit.

"Helps that I can still make booze really. Back home, I was a pretty good up and rising name on the wine market, and I gotta admit that the magic makes it easier to get the job done at least, so this world does have that on the boring old hole I came from. Even gave me my own magic too, though not the same kind of that you seem to have. Transformation and telekinesis only. Came with the horn."

He flicks his horn once to specify a bit more, and keep the act up, though inside he cursed a little. He kept forgetting how poking to this thing tended to vibrate through him, which also meant that it eventually began to poke at his hunger, and... Well, he didn't think feasting off this human was a good idea. Likely would end up with him in a world of trouble, at least unless she were sedated, but he had gone against using any poison when handing her the bottle of cider.

Call it instinct, but her starting to feel groggy whilst being able to cast magic and seeing that only one could have affected her, didn't really spell out anything besides *Mutant changeling catches fire* in his mind.

Trinket wouldn't go long after giving her speech before Zigggy would embrace her and Utter a relieved and happy *Yey* over the fact that she seemed to be okay with Serenade. Kinda weirded out, sure, but she kept her composure and she promised again that she wasn't going to tell anypony about their siren friends secret.

The zegasus were about to go into a half-rambly bit where she'd say how great it was that everything were alright, when Serenade's forced words came through and she focused totally on her instead. Why, she even let go of Trinket again, and if it wasn't some kind of focus and dedication to let somepony go from a hug this early, she didn't know what were.

"Of course I will Serenade. We'll need to get you help or we'll never get you to the meeting. Not unless we get a giant fish bowl, heh."

She pondered it a bit and looked at Serenade, thinking on how hard it would be to get a giant bowl on a short notice, but decided to keep the idea to herself about a quarter of a second before she opened her muzzle, then stopped and went for a piece of paper and a pen instead. She'd put the other idea here on ice for now, though if all other things failed, it seemed like she had a backup plan ready. Always good to be prepared.

"Anyway, what do you want me to write?"

Cresent nodded at the answer realizing a back bag for cover up might be needed. Looking over the provisions he noticed that the only real ones that needed gear was himself and cover up as zinthar would only need a box to sleep in. And the feline proved he could fend for himself in terms of food...yet bringing dried fish could help if they find themselves no food for zinthar. As the got done eating cresent looked at the 3 bags giving one to cover up.

"your back up bag, just to be safe" the batpony said handing the youngster the bag of supply's

"emergency fish for you zin and a good box" cresent said handing the feline a back pack to slip on himself before taking his on saddle of supplys and map stuff.

Draco saw the stitches as he walked by and said simply "Your wounded. I wouldn't fight you. It goes against what my father taught me," Draco stated simply. "I'm a courier yes but make no mistake," Draco said as he looked at the mare. "I will lay you out if I need to," Draco stated as he gently placed Long Stare onto a bench that was nearby. He hummed slightly as he stretched his wings slightly. "you don't know me ma'am," Draco stated simply with a grin on his face. "There is a saying that few of my friends say 'Don't mess with the guy that delivers your packages' " he stated simply with a shrug. Astral nodded. "I still have my father though, Misty might not be able to handle it." She glanced up the stairs, wondering why Misty was still up there, deciding Misty might have just fallen asleep. "I'll have to get Misty before we go on a tour." She wandered up the stairs, and down the halls, spotting a door slightly open, she peeked inside. Seeing Misty laying on the bed, cuddling the plushie tightly. Astral tilted her head. "Aw..." She wondered what Misty was dreaming of. Slightly wanting to enter Misty's dream, but she decided against it, Since she had no idea how. "Misty."

Misty jerked awake. "Yeah?" She looked to Astral, really tired. "I was sleeping."

Astral shrugged. "I saw that, you were cute." Misty blushed lightly, with a frustrated look. "Chow suggested we go on a tour with him around Canterlot, I was waking you up so you could go."

"Oh, well that's nice of him." Misty climbed up and off the bed. "Can you fix my braid?"

Astral walked over. "Sure." She moved her hooves around Misty's mane, as the hair floated around into a braid. "How did you do this originally?" She asked stepping away from the braid.

Misty turned to Astral. "I did it, I thought I mentioned that."

Astral sat down. "Oh right, you did mention it." She stood back up, waving a hoof out the door. "Come on, Chow's waiting for us."

Misty and Astral made their way down stairs, Misty went down first, looking at Chow. Her new braid laying on her shoulder. "Where do you plan to take us on the tour?"

Void Crawler hopped off his train from the Crystal Empire and smelled at the fresh grass and such, the Empire lacked a large amount of plant life, and really the only smell was snow rolling in from the mountains so grass was pleasant as it had ever been, his armour swinging varying large bags around as he had hooked them on, he didn't take much on holiday but he felt good to be back, his cheeky yet cheery smirk showing his emotions clearly.

He began to walk towards his home, it was on the opposite side of the Everfree to Ponyville so it was quite a journey but he didn't mind walking, it was tranquil and calm and he liked it like that for once in his life as he trotted around the edges of the Everfree and made quick course for his home

Lin smiled then turned to Omen and attempted to open a gate back to the village. Once more, she channeled her focus and began visualizing the way to the other side growing larger and larger, always keeping her mind on the destination. The entrance grew larger and without her seeing it with her own eyes open, the path was ready. It was an exhausting task but she felt somewhat more confident now, even noticing she wasn't as exhausted as previously expected. Whether or not she opened a gate back to the old hut or if the magic wards will send her anywhere but her destination is still unknown. Lin looked back at Omen's mother and cheerfully picked up from where she left off.

After being released from Ziggy's gleeful hug, Trinket listened to the two's conversation whilst attempting to fix her mane; which was damaged from the knight squirrel's 'intervention' from earlier. It was always an adventure to meet with new species, let alone befriend them. Still, the toy maker did receive the most unexpected costumers from time to time in her store back in Baltimare: Griffons, Diamond Dogs, and even Changelings had already come looking for some old-fashioned toys to buy. With a warm smile on her face, she continued to listen to their talk, and was about to ask a question, until she happened to notice the mess she had made back at the kitchen area.

"Oh! Oh no, I'm so sorry! I must've crashed against the table during all that confusion!" She began picking up the muffins scattered across the floor and placing them back onto the table. "Well... Given, I was... You know... Blinded. But still! I'm sorry."
