~ Light, Luna and Hammond the demon squirrel. ~

the squirrel still didn't speak and continue to do rapid movements and sign languages.

but to Lights eye's, he just saw an even more aggressively possessed demon squirrel.

" Celestia's poop I made it worst:yeahno:. "

as the squirrel starts to jump and move and do more hand signals, light gets more worried by the second. to his eyes the squirrel looked more possessed than ever.

" Okay squirrel! I know hoof languages but if you keep repeating that it's gonna look less of an introduction to your name and more of an incantation! are you trying to summon more demon buddies of yours squirrel!? you better not be summoning EMRAKUL!!!???"

and as the squirrel was not contented with just Light, now it tries to go near Luna.

" oh poop! Luna watch out! it's going near you!!!!"

Light tried to do something but hesitates at the last second, making him look like a horse dancing around at the squirrel like a crazy dudu Horse that he is.

" huh you.... hyah.., aaaaa..... stop.... uuuu demon squirrel....nuuuu..."

KARMIC FATE & ATZY

Atzy took a couple of steps back from the filly suddenly being up in face and stared incredulously at her. "You think I'm pretty?" Atzy asked in complete confusion. She wasn't sure how to take this. A step forward and she was closer to the filly, staring at her curiously now that the initial confusion had worn off. "Why do you think I'm pretty, little one?"

Karmic, meanwhile, was busy trying not to hold in her giggles at how cute the filly was being in regards to Atzy's appearance.

TWILIGHT SPARKLE

"You two actually got the graveyard lotus," Twilight said in astonishment. She trotted up to the flower and carefully examined it. "From what I read, it doesn't exactly need it's original graveyard dirt but it would go a long way in making it compatible with the Tatzlwurm syrup and the lock of Marepunzel's hair. I just need that book that contains the ritual and the other two ingredients ... doing it here might interfere with the Cutie Map table so it would probably best to do it in the library," she rattled off, seemingly talking to herself but her volume was loud enough for the Manetid, Last, and Cherish to hear. She carefully wrapped her magic around the potted graveyard lotus and gently levitated it. She was happy at gathering all three ingredients, even if Last and the Manetid got the last one. But she had been asleep so it wasn't like she could help them with it. At least now, Twilight could perform the ritual that would let Cherish be free of her stick and roam around as she pleased.

"Okay, off to the library we go," Twilight smiled at all three of them before trotting out with the potted flower levitating just ahead of her.

AURORA LIGHTS

Aurora wasn't sure how to handle the sudden 'logic being thrown out of the window' spiel given to her by the draconequui. It took her a couple of minutes to process what Anomaly had asked and shook her head to clear it.

"You asked for my name? It's Aurora Lights. I'm not exactly used to being a Changeling Queen yet. With me are Happy, Lulu, and Flaxx. We were simply trying to get back Ponyville when we stumbled across ... well, I think it was the draconequus that patted me?" Aurora asked curiously, her innate curiosity taking over pretty much every other emotion for the moment. She had pointed to each respective name owner when she called them so Anomaly wouldn't get confused by who was who.

DAZZLE GLEAM

"I'd rather stick with what we have here in Equestria," Dazzle giggled, pausing in her eating to look at the bits. They weren't all that special to her but the shine did make a twinge of an instinct activate in her. Her eye twitched a bit before she shrugged it off and attempted to ignore the feeling. "Huh, these really are just pieces of gold. I overheard my parents once saying that gold was rare ... maybe it's rare where they live?"

@Blitz Boom, @Widdershins

DAWN STREAK

"Found ... bumped into ... crashed, really," Dawn admitted, rubbing the back of her neck and thankful for her red fur to hide her blush. "I crashed into him as he was flying through the town, didn't I, Kaltrops?" she questioned him and stepped closer as well. His warmth felt safe and nice to her, not that she'd outright admit it or anything.

~ ruined hospital, ruined Cali, ruined Light.~

"you...you may be right..." Cali hesitantly said to Molotov.

it's hard for Cali to accept this kind of situation, for she is a very prideful mare and thinks differently than others. she'd rather die her way than live their way kinda pony.

but maybe because half of her has already changed, that she has somewhat accepted it. she herself really don't know what she's thinking right now. but one things for sure in her mind. and it involves Light.

speaking of which, a cute tiny voice came upon them asking, " where's Luna?"

Cali snapped out of her thoughts and tries to find where the voice came from.

it was blue, curled up in a corner.

" Blue! I'm so sorry, I didn't noticed you!.... and wait... where IS Luna?" Cali seems to be a bit in a panic, since she has a bad feeling on where Luna might be.

Cali then casted a spell at her chest, which made it shine and beamed to the sky and fell from somewhere far.

Cali then pulled off a telescope and traced where the beam of light fell.

as she searches, she found her source... there she sees Luna and Light together. and it seems Light is well armed and ready to attack Luna!

" everyone! we must hurry! Luna is being attacked by Light! she is in great danger!"

Cali then leaped into action but suddenly stopped from her sudden appearance of fatigue.

" urghh.... I.... I feel sick....."

"You... *sigh* Okay, we do it like this, right? You and Tepe can stay here, and keep the fort, in case there's some sort of demand, or she comes back. Razor, you're with me. You've seen the most, so you have a better chance at seeing what's to look for."

Windy could tell Sorrow didn't want to agree with her idea, but seeing that she didn't make any objection made Windy believe she decided to accept. Tepe, however, was not. Having lived in a world full of danger, the idea of splitting alarmed him, but there's still the possibility of Cimex coming back, only to find her guests gone. He reluctantly walks over to Windy as she said “Don't worry about me. I'm not 'the diplomat of the Wonderbolts' for nothing!”

Razor shot her a worried glance before turning to Sorrow, “Let's move”

...

As Razor and Sorrow leave the inn, they were unaware of a group of eyes watching them.

“They already knew they're being stalked, huh?" Now, she finally understood. Somehow, their targets caught wind about being stalked around the city, assuming one of their targets had only gone out to investigate. What Flinty doesn't know is that a certain griffon alerted the tall mare, as Cimex's makeshift home has no window at all.

”Should we follow her?”

Flinty shook her head, “No. Remember that noisy changeling yelled? She's bringing attention outside. We have to take out the celebrity first” she whispered back to Blunt, who was getting bored from the lack of action. “Now, we just have to take some of the staff uniforms to get access to the room she came out from”

“Alright? I'm not alright. I just saw a pony die right in front of my eyes!” having not seen what actually happened to Light, Blue broke into a tearful whimper, her eyes shaking from what she believed to be a death of a pony, which had no doubt traumatized her, judging by the look of shock and horror in her expression.

...

The rabbit thing would wave of her, immediately classifying it as a sentient creature in Luna's mind. While it may look odd and dangerous, it can be possible this thing can just be like any other bunny; friendly, curious, and sensitive creatures that would jump quickly at the slightest move. This one is different, from its appearance to its behavior. It even walked close and prodded at one of her forelegs. She simply stood like a statue, looking at the creature with interest.

“You are one interesting creature," she said, voicing her thoughts.

Noticing Light's entertaining behavior, she stares at him with a funny look as if he grew a second head, “Calm down. I don't think this creature means any harm"

“A bench? Hmm, with the way you’re going about it, this seems more like getting into bed. Not that that's a bad thing… so to speak.”

“Sounds like bedrolls are no longer the most comfortable thing now, huh?”

“Shush, you. It’s not going to undo a lifetime of sleeping on the ground, but it is already making a convincing statement.”

Lin would wander to a nearby beanbag chair and try sitting in it again, this time following Rosa’s example Four legs planted down, and she placed her weight evenly across. Things started going down slower until she got herself settled in nicely. There was a look of content on her face, one that showed her more relaxed and a little carefree given the place they were in. The whole setup looked inviting, enough to make her forget why they were here in the first place. Between being suddenly whisked away from Rosa’s home and having a lot of unanswered questions, this was almost enough to get her to forget her worries.

By then, Omen stepped through a gate, though not without some trouble. She appeared to have gotten herself into quite a predicament. The siblings would quickly step in to help, standing by Rosa and lifting her hind legs to get her down smoothly. Lin remembered how light the Ki’Nathar was, going by past experience. It was still an odd thing, but knowing Discord, this was probably about as mundane as water being wet, at least to him.

“Are you alright, Omen? It looked like you came in through a different way than us.”

But this not was not the time to do a bit of exploring what little room they have. Scarcity’s unmistakable voice announced her presence. Sen had initially thought about opening with a barrage of questions, but he reconsidered playing things safer for now. It might not be a good idea to cause delays or other unwanted outcomes from jeopardizing an established working relationship with the mare.

“Ms. Scarcity, we uh… didn’t have any problems with arriving here. Its a strange place to be transported to, though. Where are we? I don’t recall being in a place like this.”

"Oh, this is just one my many little retreats, that I hold ready for days when I like some peace and quiet. You don't need to think too hard on where it is.

As for this setup, I had prepared a little experiment. I wished to see what measures might be possible to take against your companions tracking capabilities."

Scarcity would wander calmly past them, and go towards the left-most lamp lighting up the container unit.

"...Is this related as to why Omen's landing were off?"

"Correct. Though alas, it doesn't seem my effort bore fruit. A pity, but I have other measures I might test at a later date."

She'd use her horn, and pull the lamp up, revealing a hoof-sized stone beneath it. Glistening a light shade of orange, and if gazed upon for too long, would cause it to begin to fade from view. Shaking your head would refocus the attention on it, yet the cycle would repeat over and over again.

"I'd ask how you even obtained that, but considering where it's from, I feel it wiser not to."

"I do enjoy a smart employee."

SHe'ød have the stone put into a charcoal colored pouch, and handed it to Brick. Her silent bodyguard would put it in his bag without a fuzz, and just stare Omen down, since her eyes did not leave the pouch.

"It feels odd around it. Things are not placed right."

"Which is a start, yet I aimed for a more cloak and dagger approach."

"You wanted to stab me with a stone?"

Scarcity let out a delighted little laugh at that remark. Mostly due to how it had been delivered.

"Aaah, the innocence of the uninformed. But let that be that. We have things to discuss, yet before I go into too many details, of the soon-to-be completed golems, I assume you have questions? Do go ahead and ask them. I'm certain after what I made happen, you're curious about a fair few things."

"You're very shiny."

Blitz didn't really think she needed more of a reason, as she sat grinning on the paw, looking over the gemling.

What a great day this way. She had come on a visit, and to pick up some more stuff from her workshop, before taking the train back to Manehattan, and now she were seeing all sorts of pretty, special beings. Just wait until her big bro heard that she had met a giant cat, and a changeling with gems in her exoskeleton. Oooh, she should probably ask who they were, right?

"I'm Blitz Boom. Who're you? Do you like fireworks?"

===================================================================

@Sekel

"Krghtxxh. But can you cast it, pony? Magic of death, could be dangerous."

"Her majesty knows what she's doing."

"Tkkghtxt. So you say, but this one doesn't know death. She's too innocent. So I wonder if she can handle it, or if it will consume her."

"Uhm, I don't want princess blood on my hooves. I-If you're not sure you can do this princess, maybe we should try and just sit back and think about this, a little bit more?"

Cherish wished to be freed from her boundaries of course, but not if it might harm Twilight. That were going way too far.

Mutants? Who knows? Doesn't really really matter. You've met Rose, so that's my daughter. Watch out, she eats faces. Henry is somewhere else. Probably in his lava pool. He likes it warm.

Anyway, what brings you to my little slice of the forest? That's right, Me. I did it, hehe. It gets lonely here, so it's always fun to have you mortals drawn in, and mingle a little with you. Such silly things you are. Don't worry though, I'm not gonna hurt you. I was just bored and wanted to see what a fun bunch like you were doing in my forest."

"You could've just asked."

"And I just did. See? Everything comes together now, hehe."

Anomaly would snap her tail, and then violently shift into a new form. Her head still being a pumpkin, but her body now being more slender and draconic in nature, floating slightly above ground, and with a two pronged tail, going into eels. Her arms would also have a more stone-like quality, and her legs were gone.

"Much better. It gets so boring to stay in the same form all the time. Life needs variety."

"Huh, these really are just pieces of gold. I overheard my parents once saying that gold was rare ... maybe it's rare where they live?"

"Ten they might not live in Equestria. Gold is pretty common, since we use it for bits. Well, gold in the wild isn't I guess. All the gold mines tend to be owned. Most by the government, so we can keep making bits. With the dragons hoarding it, we have to keep making more to keep it even. I can see you have that as part of your being too. That twitch over your eye... You feel the attraction towards it, don't you? Precious metal and gems. Sometimes, just anything that shines. I've seen what happens if it goes too far though., Trust me, you don't want to go that route."

The whole episode with Spike had shown that much to be true, but she didn't judge the little dragon for it. It were just his instinct, that took over for a time, and made him crazed. None of them were above their base instincts every now and again.

"Come on. We should be going, okay? I'm sure Scarcity have something for us, if she's there. Hopefully she didn't bring her bodyguard. He's kinda intimidating. Guess that's part of his job though."

She'd put the bits back in the drawer, then even out her dress, and put on the belt and bag, before moving towards the door. Hopefully Ponyville would not currently be attacked by something, when they went outside. It sounded calm, so likely not. Worst that'd happen were likely just a mail mare dropping a letter bag again. Happened every few months.

@Sekel @Widdershins

"Awh. Aren't you two just the sweetest sight? Reminds me of when I finally met Benny."

"Nah. He haven't stumbled and dropped a bouquet into your nostrils."

The two of them would have a lovely little chuckle over that memory. Benny had always been an awkward sort, and meeting his pen pal, had made him pretty nervous. So when he saw her, he rushed towards her, stumbled in the sand, and the bouquet he had with him, went right into her face. He was lucky she was a forgiving sort, and also had been quite nervous about meeting up, since she heard so many things about dragons after all. Some she'd seen too, so this was a risk. In a way, it kinda helped his case that he were a clumsy goofball, since it made him about as unfrightening as possible. Even more so, when he had put his head in the sand, and his muffled voice went on about him being the biggest idiot, in all of Equestria. It were pretty hard to think of him as scary after all of that.

"It must feel pretty strange to you both, but long as you know how to tune some things out, it can be the start of a lovely thing. Starting with you needing to kinda just ignore those who'd say stuff against you, or somehow show them up. We started out hurt by some of the words said, and me trying to stand up for us, but it got easier to just tune out the odd looks and such, and if they got vocal, or up in our face, just call out how sad it must be for them, to not like being happy."

"Unless they're really rude. Then they get the whammy. And I don't talk about from me. Pop here's got a temper."

She'd pull his tongue at him for saying that, though she'd also shrug. It were true after all. Though in her defense, she were just standing up for them. Benny wasn't confrontational enough to do it, so she had to. Honestly felt kinda good at times, but let that be what it were.

Sorrow didn't notice a thing, though she wasn't as alone as they'd all think. The dead wandered with her. Sadly not as strongly as with her grandmother though. The spirits she had with her, could manifest into physical form, and demolish anypony who dared to assault her. That is, if she didn't just do so herself. Madamme Macabre had a strict look on her, that along with her attire, tended to make her hard to forget. And when she got into a battle mood... Well, let it simply be said that age had helped stop her, as much as a pillow would be able to stop a flood. It were a minor thing at best.

As nothing seemed to happen, she'd wander into the alley, where she'd then end up face to face with a diamond dog. How odd to see one in the city, and one this scrawny too. Didn't seem like a violent or rude sort either, as she straight up held her paws in front of her, as if she held a hat, and were about to do a servants bow. Her eyes also looked more concerned than anything, at the sudden sight of Sorrow, and it were clear her eyes darted pretty quickly to the skull.

"Hey, didn't mean to scare you there. We're just looking for somepony. Have you seen the innkeeper here somewhere? She went outside, and I'm starting to wonder where she is."

The diamond dog shook her head quite a good deal at that.

"Pop not seen inn pony. Heard scuffle, somewhere nearby. She fight drunk patron? Maybe? Tried to find sound, to help guard pony that went to look."

"A guard pony? Can you tell me where she went?"

Pop would point in the actual direction of the guard pony.

"Thank you. I'm gonna need to look around here, but try and stay safe."

Razor may want to interject here, if he had an idea about what were going on. Though as he were dead, he'd have to spend some effort if he wanted to be seen by the diamond dog, and likely scare her fur off.

@Starforce

The only real correction that would be given to Magnolia, were to not use her hooves, but instead the mortar, since hooves were not the best to use for this. They had dirt in them, and some of the ingredients could get stuck. And whilst she could likely clean that out, her magic might change the potion around. Though if she wanted to try and add some of her magic to it, Zeehva would greenlight it, though specify that if something happened that made her tell Magnolia to run, she should. Instantly.

In case it went this way, it wouldn't though. The ingredient paste would just end up dark with red swirls, instead of a pure, light crimson red.

IN the meantime, the pot were also heating up and ready, so now it were time to add things in.

"Okay, take half of the paste then, and add it into the pot before the water. Once we do that, we're adding two cups of dew."

Simple enough, and nothing special would come from it, beyond the liquid running calmly in the pot, unstirred. Until the big spoon came forth again.

"This recipe have a little bit of forgiveness, but try and stir it five times to the right, and then stand completely still for five seconds. After that, take a deep breath, think of something that makes you smile, and then slowly blow into the cauldron. After you've done that, we add two more cups of dew, and the rest of the ingredients, and just let it simmer for fifteen minutes.

I know this seems odd, but I've tried skipping steps before, like not splitting them up, or not having nice thoughts, and it loses potency. It still works, but if I'm going to teach you how to make potions, it will not be second rate ones, you find made by amateurs. It'll be the zebra way."

One of the reasons he called them meat heads. Sure they were important, but it wasn't because the thinking was the grandest on all of 'em. Otherwise, jumping after a more dangerous foe wasn't the smart move.

Then again, he were about to go jump after Light too... Eh, he were doing it to save another, and didn't plan on sticking around. It were probably not hypocrisy.

Blitz would do her best to put some good mood into Blue, although for Cali, this might end up giving her more flashback towards certain movies, that might have been made in her dimension, that included face-huggers. Blitz likely wouldn't make an incubator out of Blue though... Probably. Though she would likely make it hard for Blue to see anything, or breathe, until she were peeled off.

And as this went on, Molotov would jump out the window, spread his wings, and fly off. It were time to go save the damsel. And hopefully not get disintegrated. That'd suck.

The few strands of mane he did displace, as he found a good standing position, he'd bend down and put back in roughly the same place, using his paws. And as he now stood here, he'd have a better look at Light, and his peculiar, odd behavior going on. He didn't get what the pony were doing though, and as such, he'd start some new signs. He'd tilt his head to the side, and gaze questioningly at the odd behaving stallion, until a sound from behind made him turn. The sound of a pony flying in, and landing right next to Luna.

"Put yer weapons down, Light. I ain't gonna let you harm Lun- Woah, is that a Discordian Knight Squirrel? Wicked! Where'd you find that thing?"

Seems like this would be a more cordial meeting, but something always felt off about working with shady characters. Sen may have conceded to it earlier, but there was always a hint that things could go wrong. Perhaps that caution could be beneficial, yet naïveté would still be prominent; he wasn’t well-versed in the ways of the world and the things that went on behind closed doors. In contrast, Lin would take this as a chance to learn despite sharing her brother’s skepticism. No point in jeopardizing something that’s been going well so far.

“I guess you can say we have things we’re curious about, but let’s start with the most important one. Why? What’s your interest in Rosa?”

“After what you made happen, there’s got to be a reason you want or need him.”

In some ways, the siblings are concerned that they may not want to know the answer to that question. There’s tension in the air, and the siblings are metaphorically holding their breath. They had to ask that question, but the consequences could go far beyond Scarcity’s interest in the thestral. Having already worked on a request for her means they’ve proven they could get a job done. Lin wouldn’t be surprised if the group could be called here for another job, but the details may be more intertwined knowing how the trial went. Information was limited, but if Sen played this conversation calmly, everyone may walk away knowing a little more. The answer could just as easily get Sen’s blood boiling after what the ambassador told them.

At the same time, Scarcity was conducting her own experiment on Omen’s abilities. Being able to track her down couldn’t be good for keeping secrets or maintaining privacy. It was understandable, at least to Lin, but she can’t help shake the feeling that there might be more going on. There’s possibly a whole other story they aren’t aware of, and they’re only getting the details they need to know. Just seeing how Omen wasn’t transported like the rest of the group already caused suspicions, but with Scarcity leaving the floor open for questions, maybe it wouldn’t hurt asking about it.

“And about what happened just now. I take it you’re trying to stop Omen from finding you? What exactly happened back there with Omen’s gates?”

Futher confirming something did happened nearby, Razor begin to find suspicion. The diamond dog told Sorrow there was a scuffle between a pony with a drunk patron, however, if that's true, then Cimex would have already returned.

Unless, the diamond dog was paid to make up fake information. Despite the diamond dog's obscure lies, she did told them her conversation with a guard.

“Sorrow, I don't think the screams I heard matched the diamond dogs's claims...not all but a few details did not make sense" he told her.

Blue would try to calm down, getting rid of her anxiety and slowing down her heartbeat which is unnaturally beating fast than it should. She clutched her chest before sitting up on her flank, staring at Cali and Blitz without aaying a word.

...

Seeing as Light did not calm down, she decided to turn to the creature standing on her head, “Rabbit-thing, could you please climb down my head?”

"The zebra thing on top of the eye also may block its effects on other dragons, though even before getting it no dragon seemed to be drawn towards it, beyond what you'd expect when they see a pony with a part of a dragon hanging on their neck."  Ruby pointed out as a last thing regarding that topic, it could also have something to do with her kind specifically, as their kind had natural ability to sense the presence of other dragons, mainly more powerful and older dragons, so it could be that this situation was combination of that natural ability and her unique sense, since the eye had belonged to quite an old and powerful dragon, and it wasn't hard to believe that power is notable even after death, especially if it was a magical dragon, since magic had the habit to linger.

Ruby addressed Marley and Leviathan in the order they spoke "The pegasus, Mystic Shade I think her name was, she's an odd one for a pony indeed, though she is friendly enough, a loner, makes me look almost like a social butterfly when it comes to interacting with ponies, but her.....lack of kindness doesn't come from distaste of ponies like it does in my case, and instead she just seems tired most... all of the time, we have shared few words, and she just wants to be left alone." "I sometimes hear weird noises from her house but I ignore it, she doesn't get into my business, I won't get into hers."

"For the hybrid, Ember she calls herself, she acts more like you'd expect a pony to act with bit of dragon mixed in, she is annoyingly friendly sometimes, but I have also seen her to send individuals into the hospital when they have gotten bit too aggressive with her, don't ask who they were, as I don't know, not my business." "I have seen her now and then wearing armor and carrying a weapon, but don't know what for, because as you probably guess, not my business." "I asked her about the crows once, and she said she doesn't know why they follow her, and while I never asked about her origins, I have overheard her talking about 'adoptive parents'."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ceron was bit unsure about Lyriel's touch, but didn't stop her, she trusted her and if he was being honest, it had been quite a long time since anything had even tried to touch him voluntarily, the latter may have been bit of a weird reason to let Lyriel do her thing, but Ceron was still a pony, and like all ponies, he was a social creature, the isolation he lived in wasn't pleasant, so any physical interaction, even if it was ultimately to do a spell of some kind, was a nice change.

He looked towards the sky "Yeah, I should probably leave so that I have time to get as deep into the forest as possible, I'll keep your offer in mind, though before that, what exactly was the spell thing you did?" he would wait for the answer and then turn to leave, he would start by walking but soon he'd change to full sprint, jumping over few obstacles in a way which showed his non-pony-like agility.

After Ceron was distance away, Scarecrow spoke "I think I have seen the feline form of his, if it is the correct memory, the feline is quite the smart one indeed."

----------------------------------------------

Solar just shrugged regarding Sombra, as stated, not much was known about the Crystal north, what happened to Sombra, was he still there? How did he do what he did? Why did he do that instead of making the Empire disappear like he did here? Where's the heart? "Ultimately Sombra, like many other 'villains' as you call them here, are an unknown variable for the empires, the sisters aren't overly worried about them, but they are constantly ready to counter them if they ever show themselves."

"For rest of the world, besides the undoubted effects the endless night or day on their lands has had, I do not know what the life there is like, The sisters have stayed in Equestria for now, as they are too busy fighting each other to conquer any more land, the rest of the world have created an allyship, a one common nation they call 'The United', I'm sure they have their own little wars, but they all are ultimately dedicated to one goal, keep Equestria in Equestria, so with the sisters being pretty much equal in power, neither can sacrifice troops to lead an attack against The United without risking the other taking advantage of the power in numbers." Trox was thoughtful "Wait, so if there was a large enough rebellion, or an attack from outside, at least one of the empires would be certain to fall?" "Pretty much yes, if the world itself doesn't get destroyed first, the constantly increasing amount of seemingly random short lived portals appearing all around the world can't be a good sign." "Portals like the ones that brought us here?" "Exactly"

Rising had only been back briefed on the details of the attack against Manehattan.  Having teleported himself to Harrowmark shortly after it began.  He knew there was one other pony in custody at the O.M.I. for his wicker attack against Moltov's workshop.  They didn't have a second anti-magic cage, not that the first prototype used with Lily provided more reliable than just a couple days, but a heavily warded ceil tended to work.  With the added watch from several agents just in case.  Another diplomatic case like Lily's to deal with when connections were made.

The spa pony's own ears perked.  Other than her own sister, use of their native tongue wasn't heard in Equestria.  A rare occasion.  The dialect was strange and the accent different, but the root of the two languages fit like a gear cog.  "Väl mött, nordresenär. Jag hoppas att du tycker att din behandling är trevlig," the head spa pony beamed, delighted for the cultural exchange.  All her anger having evaporated away from the large unicorn she'd been scolding just a second ago.  Said unicorn tip hoofing around behind the now distracted Earth Pony.  As much as she wanted to hurry away to fetch Rising, she didn't want her Grande Lotus Membership revoked from the best spa in Equestria.

Dawn played innocent and didn't return the glance she caught out of the corner of her eye when Lily brought up the coincidence.  Being accused of some behind the scenes manipulating couldn't hide the brief grin that curled the edge of her lips before she could correct her warning stare at the larger snow white unicorn.  "I was aiming for the patio," Minty whispered as she approached the twins.  An easy mistake in Minty's magic.  Her spell tapestries, painted as if by roses as they were, often liked to bloom into a garden with the surges of raw arcane power the plagued The Captain of the O.M.I.  A simple struggle to draw in the destination of a teleportation spell that at the last moment grew just a tiny thorn moved her entry location 20 feet away.

"Sweetie, you're going to wrinkle your snoot if you keep glaring like that," the relaxed pegasi warned her daughter.  The muscles in Dawn's face relaxed and contracted as she tried to find the right mix of menacing without damaging her complexation.  "My darling Grace, so lovely to see you!" Minty sang, trotting over to the pegasus a couple beds away to exchange light pecks on the cheeks in dramatic theatrical greeting.  "Dawn thought my presence would aid in getting her brother here," she admitted.  Not that it took much detective work to figure that one out.  "Ah yes, the stallion of the hour," she turned to look at Rising.  "With a fine pristine coat," she admired.  That one wasn't going to leave the office any time soon he could already picture in his head.  "And... royal invitation," she spooled, flicking her own to produce a rolled up scroll with the Equestrian royal seal.

"Aldrig prøvet bedre. Du har meget at være stolt af.

Går det godt, over Harrowmark's grænser? Det her været århundrede siden der sidst var forbindelse. Meget må have ændret sig for norden siden."

This was a pleasant surprise honestly.  And a chance to hear a little of what went on, beyond the long since demolished bridges, that once connected them with their neighboring countries. The undead sea monsters probably wasn't helping things either, though now that Twisted were gone, they could be cleared out, connections made again, and in time, the bridges rebuilt. Couldn't hurt to ask how things were then, to prepare a little, could it? She could imagine there were quite the amount of progress at least. On the levels of Equestria though? Hard to say.

Lily had been content simply leaving Minty and Grace to speak in peace, as it appeared the two mares were friends, and she did not want to interrupt that. Regardless of her brief want to comment on how Minty had overshot by quite a lot, if she aimed for the patio. She may not know where it were herself, but she knew it wasn't here at least. Perhaps a magical mishap? Nothing was perfect after all, despite Minty's apparent attempt at looking like she were.

Yet then, came the thing that seemed to have brought the mare here in the first place, and Lily's interest were drawn.

"Your princesses heard of this already? Impressive. So they know what is expected of him too then? Or is this in regards to the attack on your town alone? I don't know how much it would take to grasp the expedient interest of your regents."

It didn't rule out that perhaps it were from an ancestor, or even real father of Ruby, yet it seemed more likely to be more related to just oversensitivity in a way. Though if ever they found that Ruby's father only had one eye, then by all means, that theory could be reevaluated.

"Likely for the best. Equines are rarely the kinds to conduct anything good in shadows, and I saw there were something else in there. Not what though. I suppose, if there haven't been news of strange disappearances, whatever she does do, is not harmful enough to be concerned about."

By all means, let others have their privacy to themselves. Marley were curious, and wondering if there were something amiss that were reason for concern, but long as no one seemed to go missing, or randomly die, it were probably somewhat okay. Just one of those odd things that you never really knew, would go very bad, or remain pretty negligeble.

"Adopted parents? Well then, sounds like I know a talking point with her that I'm familiar with. Just have to figure out how to approach her then, and when. Even if she doesn't know her parents, her being a hybrid is still very interesting. If she's friendly, I'm sure I can find some way to start speaking with her. But that day will come later, when there's not much else to do. I already got a good deal of lovely company with me, right here. And a pet bird."

Marley wholeheartedly ignored that comment, and merely began walking towards the edge of Ponyville. These two were testing how long it'd be before he'd snap, but he wouldn't break over something so mundane, as a demeaning nickname. He would however, silently wish them ill omens, of a lesser kind. Stubbed toes and the like. It seemed excessive to wish major harm over something irritating, yet ultimately trivial.

"Anyway, to get back to your neighbor, crows are carrion birds. If she dons armor and weapons, maybe she's going out there to fight, and leave bodies around. Plenty of food for them there, so hanging around her might seem the best for them. Still a little odd, since crows tends to be smart enough to stay away from creatures that can easily eat them, but might be an equine thing. They have an odd connection with animals, to varying degrees.

But let's get on the way, before they start wondering about your company. Some way to Las Pegasus, so might as well get a move on early."

She would bow towards him as he took off, showing more agility in his step than she had anticipated. And a few things that certainly did make her think more of a feline than a equine. Such an odd creature he were. Though hopefully, she'd be able to help them in some way. She didn't enjoy watching suffering, or misery, and it seemed Ceron had a less than pleasurable life, due to this duality of their nature. She could only imagine that the feline were not faring much better than he, even though neither of them were at fault for their situation. Such emotional distress it must cause them both...

She had been lost in thought for a moment, as she pondered the situation at hoof, so it would be a little before Lyriel answered.

"You have seen her? What can you tell of her? Please. Anything might be vital, no matter how small it might seem, if I am to speak with her in earnest sometime. The less I make mistakes, the simpler it will be for us to reach a degree of understanding, without the need for senseless violence. I feel I have been bashed around enough as it is, the last few days."

She gazed at Scarecrow with curiosity, and some degree of hope. If he had met her, then perhaps he would know how to approach her. Or if not that, then how not to, which were a valuable lesson in and by itself. The less poorly she approached, the simpler it would be to connect after all. At least in her mind, though creatures of Equestria still perplexed her at times, and she had found that she did not know them as well as she thought, every now and again.

"The rest of your world seems to be doing the wise thing. If the two sisters are so focused on picking one another off, why get involved? If they pick a side, it will only cause meaningless deaths, and in the end, a powerful force who now did not have a counterbalance, and a free eye to gaze upon the rest of the world.

The portals are worse. It sounds almost as if your world is being torn asunder by powerful magic, and is tearing holes to other worlds. I wonder if it went on, would your world merge with another? And if so, what would happen? I can imagine the words *genocide* and *carnage* to be part of the answer. Though personally, my response if I saw such a thing, would be to flee promptly. I bear no allegiance to anyone, and value my life more than that.

To return to the previous subject though, The United sounds like they have a grasp on what to do with things. Though I wonder if they haven't something to do with the holes being made. Seems there would have to be powerful magic at work there. Perhaps an attempt to expel the sisters from their own dimension? If they made deals with gods, many things can happen. Usually with consequences. Might be they'd think it were worth it, though it is all mere speculation. I am not a scientist.

Though I suppose, as advanced as you are, you may have a theory of what is happening? By all means, lay it out there."

“I guess you can say we have things we’re curious about, but let’s start with the most important one. Why? What’s your interest in Rosa?”

“After what you made happen, there’s got to be a reason you want or need him.”

"Why of course I want him. The Ravenshine Consortium produces the best spies there is to be found. And in my world, spies are very valuable, as they give me access to the most dangerous weapon there is in this world."

"Information."

"Exactly, my dear employee. A sword can lay low a few enemies, yet information can make entire kingdoms crumble to dust. It is the most valuable, and ultimately powerful thing there is in this civilized world, and I crave this power for myself.

Do not worry though, darlings. I mean not to make the foundation of any kingdom crumble, I quite enjoy living in a civilized world, and furthermore, to not be in the public spotlight, as some kind of conqueror, or destroyer. Yet still I want it, because the more I know, the more I can pull strings. And the more I can do that, the more I can assert true control, in the grizzled underbelly of our world, wherein power truly matters. Given enough time, and power of varying kinds, I might even manage to surpass Lord De La Rouge, but let's not get hasty. Fact remains, that for my function to remain, I need information. Fresh information mind you, and hence, I need many workers. Spies such as Rosa, are exceptionally valuable. So when I eyed a chance to make him indebted to me, I went to work, setting up things properly, to ensnare him into my net.

If it is any consolation, I don't aim to have him do assassination, or anything of that sort. There's others, more well trained in that manner that I could call upon, in case it would become needed."

Scarcity would pick a pear from the fruit assortment in the room, and use her magic to peel, then dice it, before taking one of the cubes to eat. The rest floated near her, as she'd slowly go through this. She'd offer Shrimp some, but he had gotten tired after the landing, and decided to take a nap. Seemed like hatchling refractions spend most of their time either eating, or sleeping.

“And about what happened just now. I take it you’re trying to stop Omen from finding you? What exactly happened back there with Omen’s gates?”

This one, she wouldn't answer right away, but rather enjoy another cube of pear first, slowly chewing through the juicy fruit. A sadly undervalued fruit in Equestria, yet delightful at times. Far too many simply went with apples alone, and it were a dreadful waste of so many, many flavors, just ready to be tried.

"Her mishap? An accidental side effect of a test. I value my privacy, and being able to control myself when, and where, others may find me. As such, having your companion always be aware of my position, puts me in a potential bind."

"It's a weakness, if anyone could simply make Omen find you, then what sort of evidence couldn't anyone just randomly manage to get hold of?"

"If you want to be pedantic about it, I suppose that is more accurate. Though it is also future proofing. I know of three of you already in this world now, and two of you have my scent. Others may eventually follow, so it might get prudent to be able to shield myself, or areas I am in. This were but one test, though I have others prepared, which I hold hope for too. This were merely the cheapest one available, so it could have proven worthwhile in keeping costs down. Omen is the best test subject too, as she is ancient, and build of powerful magic in the first place. If I can hide from her, I will from others too.

And before you may begin to ponder that I am overthinking how many Ki'Nathar might enter this world, ponder how I got myself my darling Hammond. By stepping through, and being approached. The more of them there are, the more gates will open, and service be offered. Mark my words: More will come. It is a matter of inevitability.

But we needn't simply talk about heavy subjects. How have your day been going? I assume you have already canvassed the neighborhood, and found Uddo, hmm?"

Going into his belt, he'd pull out a small protein bar, and offer it to the mimic. Hammond eyed the treat with curiosity, and would slowly nod, before spreading his ears and arms, and flapping away from Luna. He'd land on Molotov's outstretched leg, and would reach out with his paws towards the treat, that he held i his magic. Yet the unicorn kept it just outta reach of the little one, and shook his head at the attempt.

"Ya gotta go show them your winning smile first, little fellah. Then you'll get it."

Hammond nodded, and turned towards the others, before opening his mouth up. Which definitely wasn't squirrel sized. In fact, his mouth opened up to be large enough to fit an entire adults ponys head inside. Past the regular rodent teeth then, there'd also be three rows of small, sharp teeth, pointing inwards, as if this was a miniature sharp of some kind. And to the left and right, you could see the small openings of his gills.

"Awesome, right? They're river predators. Usually swim up on fish like trout, and then engulf them in full in their jaws. Then they either go digesting it, or bring it up to the surface, and to the small villages they build. They're very social little critters y'know. Take care of their own."

In case this display caused any of the others, to try and shoot Hammond, they'd find that a swirling, dark gate would suddenly sprout out of nowhere, and the shot would go in there, before imploding upon itself again. What was on the other side? A seemingly endless, dark expanse, where the ground moved at a constant pace, twisting and changing, as if all were made by shadows.

With 5 slow stirrs to the right she would find the first step easy. After standing completely still she would take a deep breath as she imagines Zeehva. Zeehva was the first thing that came to her mind, or first someone that came to her mind. Since she had met Zeehva not much seemed to make her happy. Other than wilderness, but that was a given. Zeehva it was.

After that she would look to Zeehva. "Alright, two cups of dew?" if she had that, she would pour two cups of dew into the cauldron.

"Correct. Two cups."

Zeehva would hoof over the large pouch of collected dew water she had been using, and waited until Magnolia had filled in the dew, as well as the rest of the ingredients, before putting her front hooves together, and doing a few claps.

"Now it's just to let it simmer, and then congratulations. You've made your first, real potion. You're gonna need to try it once it's ready. That's tradition. Unless it's lethal, the first potion is always something that the creator needs to try for themselves."

When it were ready, a teaspoon of the liquid, would prove invigorating, and had Magnolia any kind of wounds, it would have helped on them. Though at least she could still be capable of enjoying the energy it would give her.

If she had mixed a small part of her magic in, as had been offered though, she'd find the potion had an additional effect, when drinking a teaspoon: A ten second invisibility effect, cloaking her entirely from view until the effect wore off, and she'd pop into sight again, as quickly as she vanished from it. Which really, would prove to be a pretty special, and valuable side effect. Might be they could sell them for more then, as well as it maybe being an original creation. Zeehva didn't have the big book, so she couldn't say, though it might also simply be obscure.

She'd wait to say more, until she saw the effect on Magnolia, depending on how she made the elixir. Then again, they did have 15 minutes until it were done settling, so who knew? Might be they had time for a topic or two. If not, and they just enjoyed the sounds of the forest, there'd soon be something to speak about, as Magnolia had proven to be a good student.

"ueegghh!" Light blurted out in discuss as he sees the insides of the squirrels mouth.

he tried to shoot it with a pee sized beam to stop the squirrel from smiling, but end up just going inside the weird portal. then( for some weird reason it reflected back,) hitting light instead.

pfffff!!!

" ouch!..." Light said while rubbing his now burnt forehead.

"now what the heck is that portal! I knew it! it's a magical demon squirrel! not only can it cast magic it can fly and swim too!? we must burn it!"

then Light would look at Luna and question her.

" how come you don't know this species exist in this world Luna?" Light said in a serious questioning tone.

Lin wasn’t quite certain how someone picking up a “scent” would work, at least when picking up on a trail. It might make sense for animals like dogs to have this talent, and the longma knew the benefits of having such. It’s the idea and the feeling behind it that makes this thought more uncertain. What would that be like, and would someone have the ability to turn that on and off? If not, would that cause some kind of sensory overload from picking up too many scents? One could only imagine how Omen does it.

In the meantime, Sen was pondering on the earlier conversation, about Scarcity’s response to his questions. It certainly was sound, but someone just didn’t sit right with him. He wanted to believe that this agreement was fine, that Scarcity had some hidden side that could hint at something good. Her answer didn’t exactly sound reassuring even when she told them not to worry. Words like “indebted” and “ensnared” didn’t paint good pictures in his head, which only made him even more worried about his friend.

“I suppose there’s nothing more we could do about this arrangement. What’s done is done, even if I am not certain about what will happen now or how things will go from here. I just hope that power doesn’t go to your head, Ms. Scarcity. I’ve seen how power can lead to a dark path, and I don’t want that putting others in danger.”

Sen…

“Rosa works for you now, and no amount of wishing will change that. All I’m asking is that you treat him right.”

The longma didn’t raise his voice, but there was certainty and conviction behind what he meant. And he knew he was likely crossing a dangerous line, something that Lin would have to be ready to pull him back over because it could lead to more trouble.

“H-hey, uh… let’s go with Ms. Scarcity’s idea and drop the heavy stuff, yeah?” Lin nudged her brother aside, hoping to shift the conversation to something more pleasant. “We had a look a round the town. There was a nice bakery with a really nice mare, and we did meet Uddo. How do you know him, exactly?”

"Sounds about right. I have no idea what I just made but I'm sure we'll find out shortly." she nodded in understanding.

"It should be a pretty simple rejuvenation potion. Helps with low energy, minor wounds, and general fatigue. Adventurers tend to bring a fair bit with them, as well as various antidotes. But they're good in all sorts of risky, or draining professions, like construction. Or gymnastics."

She'd look on, as Magnolia got a first hoof impression of the potion. Even a small teaspoon were enough to heal some smaller wounds, and reinvigorate. A good effect, that made some think they had to drink a whole bottle at once, and then they'd be healed of anything that ailed them. Which wouldn't happen. They'd just get nausea. The sort of potions that could help with more serious injuries were different ones, and she didn't have the ingredients for general ones. With a bit of inventiveness though, she could perhaps deal with stuff made for an individual. It depended on what sort of magic she could find, and what the ailment were.

On 2021-10-27 at 8:10 AM, Magnolia said:

Upon swallowing the teaspoon Magnolia would find herself invisible. Looking to her hooves she didn't see them and she could visibly see Zeehva's reaction. "Wow! I'm still here by the way, this is definitely something. Fascinating..." Magnolia spoke with pure glee in her words. After the 10 second period was over she was back to normal and was visibly amazed.

Now what came next, were far more interesting, as Magnolia tried to mix a bit of magic into the mixture. And as a result, she ended up vanishing, as an additional effect.

For a moment, Zeehva thought she might have been teleported away, until Magnolia started to speak. The unicorn went over and tried to poke in the air where Magnolia had been, and felt her there, despite not being able to see her. A pretty fascinating thing to witness, and something which honestly gave her some ideas. Thoughts she wouldn't have time to say, before Magnolia returned to visibility.

"That was highly fascinating. I wonder if the effect lasts longer, if you drink more? We'll need to test that. If it is, this here could become an incredible discovery. And a huge hit for adventurers. Not only getting their wounds closed, but also get out of sight long enough to escape, or sneak past something? That would be very valuable. You may have just invented a new kind of potion, Magnolia. Or at least accidentally found out how to make a lesser known one, that's written in the great tomes. Both are impressive feats.

Well done. You've successfully made a potion, And improved upon it at the same time. I'm very impressed."

"That does make me wonder actually. Your scent, as I understand it, are connected to the life energy of a being. Is that correct, Omen?"

Omen had just stood about, motionless, and trying to grasp what were happening, until she were now finally being addressed by Scarcity. Her gaze would focus on the mysterious mare then.

"Yes."

"Pray tell, how then do you keep track of them all? Does it not confuse you to have what I assume to be, a rather large number of scents?"

"I just think of who I have to find. Then I follow their scent."

Truth be told, Omen couldn't explain how it were working. When someone died, their smell went away, as they didn't have any life energy left. Yet she still had the smell of thousands, upon thousands of creatures registered with her. You'd think it would become a hassle, yet she didn't really feel, nor smell anyone, lest they got near to her, or she specifically looked for them.

It were kind of like an old school call center. She had a massive amount of plugs, and a cord. If she looked for someone, she could plug the cord in, and she'd have a clear connection to follow. But if she didn't, she'd hear nothing, lest they stood in ear shot of her. It were probably the best way to explain it, but she wouldn't know how to articulate this, as she didn't know what a call center was. And even if she did, this type of center, wasn't something they had in Equestria. Or likely anywhere else in this dimension.

"Had hoped for something more descriptive, but alas, not everything can be easy. I appreciate your input regardless."

"Awh, darling. You worry about me? It's appreciated, but unnecessary. I know well myself what can happen, if you pursue power too greedily. As well as the allure of attaining it, for the sake of conquering. Yet I assure you, that I take every precaution that can be taken to ensure what I do, is done professionally. Furthermore, I have no interest in ruling. Sitting atop a castle, dealing with all the troubles of the kingdom? I'd find it utterly pedantic, and in all honesty, rather dull. I prefer traversing the grittier side of society.

And I told you before, you needn't worry about Rosa. I take good care of my employees, and despite my previous choice of words, I do mean employees. I pay well for the services I require, in one form or another. I would hardly have gotten to where I am now, had I not understood the value in an appreciative work force, over treating others as insignificant specks of dust underneath my hooves. As the saying goes, *A happy worker, is an effective worker*. If he does his job, I'll pay him. Without any bureaucratic hassle, nor mistreatment. If he tries turning on me however... Well, he knows some of my doings. I'm sure he'd prefer not to imagine."

A certain gleam of dark promises were seen in her eyes, as she said this last part, and smiles ominously at Rosa. He could feel the small hair on the back of his neck stand up by this, as yes, he knew of some of the aftermath of those who had tried to turn on her. Both the more trivial, and the substantial aftermaths, and he definitely did not wish to become part of that.

"I know better than to try."

"And that is why I'm sure you will become a splendid employee. I even have a few things lined up for you, but not for a few days. After your endeavors, you'll need to settle in for a moment, I would think. I mostly called upon your group, in regards to another matter. That being the golems, and afterwards, my upcoming *payment* for that service. The long of the short being, that the golems will be fully ready for their merger, in four days, at midnight. The materials were not hard to get hold of, with my connections, yet it takes a dreadful time for them to prepare them properly, and then the correct time of day for the ritual to work the best. Though I'm sure your friends can wait for that short amount, no?"

"The dear longma and his family are peculiar guests, whom I had some interest in, for what they are. I didn't hear much at first, but once Prince Blueblood began speaking well of his store, more began to circulate, and si simply had to go and see them for myself. A lovely family that one, whom I wish only the best. Had a few things commissioned from him too, including a delightful couch in my office. Delightfully sturdy, and fit those cushions I had purchased just perfectly.

Not everything have a sinister meaning. Sometimes, I approach things out of mere curiosity, and leave without doing anything, you would consider problematic. Why, I've even directed a few customers his way myself, that were not able to afford my kind of wares, yet still wanted something with class.

That being said, I did have a little wager you have now caused me to lose. I felt somewhat certain you wouldn't have met him before our meeting, whereas Brick here, believed you would explore as a priority, rather than settling in, and would encounter them."

Brick would have a faint inkling of a pleased smile on his face, ever so briefly, yet it didn't last long. He were pleased having won, yet at the same time, laughing at his boss were not in his contract. He knew she wouldn't punish him for it, lest he went overboard, but it were a matter of principle.

he tried to shoot it with a pee sized beam to stop the squirrel from smiling, but end up just going inside the weird portal. then hitting light instead.

Though usually, nothing was reflected from within the dark realm, on the other side of the portal, it appeared that Light's beam had an odd interaction with the mass of constantly moving, dark matter in the realm. More specifically, it hit, and then bounced back, as if it had been a rubber ball, hitting him back in the face. Hard to say if it were the lesser force of it, or something with the beam itself, but the odd interaction sure enough made Hammond look at Light extra curiously, after he had closed his mouth again, and closed the portal.

"Okay, full disclosure: They don't normally open portals. This one's a lil bit special. I wonder if Discord's been adding chaos magic into 'em again, and that's why... They got toned way down after he was defeated the first time. Only kept being this mutated, cause they had kept on breeding for a long time. That was the theory anyway. Either case, this little fellah seems special."

"Hey, I ain't letting you burn this guy. He's a lil' special, but he's an endangered species, and all of 'em can fly and swim. The sort that's been believed to be extinct for like, six hundred years or so. They only started to get rediscovered living around in small packs about.... 4 years ago, roughly. One of my dad's old friends came about, wanting to tell him back at that point. Hadn't heard he died. Made him all sad, since dad was a real curious biologist. He would've meeting one of these.

Well okat, we think he died. Went out to research chimera, and we haven't seen him again in 11 years now. We're fairly sure they ate him."

Hammond in the meantime, perked his ears suddenly, and then began to look about, then back at Light. After a little bit, he'd nod slowly, and then open a portal again. This one the size of a regular stallion. And this time, they seemed to have company, as the dark mass everywhere in there shifted around, and then began have parts of it move their way. Oozing masses of unformed mass, twisting and dripping everywhere within the realm, yet without anything of it escaping. The only solid thing, would be the mass of eyes. All of them in various shapes and sizes, yet all focusing on only two beings. That being Light, and Molotov. They all also were pale grey, like Hammond's were. It appears they had drawn attention.

Shooting at the creatures would do absolutely nothing, as they were just shadows. Even hitting the eyes would do nothing more then disorienting them. They also did nothing else than watch right now, and didn't appear able to move through, so odd as it seemed, it were likely nothing bad.

"Huh... Eh, who am I to judge? Not like I haven't opened gates to other worlds before. Least this one seems friendly."

~Light's side~

Light would quickly throw one of his shards inside Hammond's portal. this way he could easily analyze what's inside.

" okay now that's done with.... you made a shadow of myself I see.." Light gave it's focus to what the squirrel is up to.

" impressive work for a tiny squirrel." Light whispered behind the squirrels ear.

" I too can make a clone of myself, but mine can talk and have colors." The Light Infront of the squirrel spoke.

" which one do you think is the real Light?" both Spoke.

tap.

the real Light tapped Hammond from its shoulders. but none of the Light that he is seeing touched him.

" it's the one that can touch you of course".

"Sweet!??!" The drakeling had sputtered, and continued to on the way they had made to the candy shop. Exclaiming as was his clear habit of enunciating his "Italicized" words. For a while he had continued on in a mostly incoherent manner that told, in fragments of how he couldn't conceive of such an adjective being directed at him and how it could possibly apply. Mostly in low, undirected complaints behind the other two as they had walked along.

When they had gotten to the candy shop, Kaltrop had remained silent as the couple had been kissing. He wasn't just blushing but hard, in the way that dragons managed to look positively glowing like fire. Warm he certainly was!

His front claws stood tightly clamped in front of his haunches from where he sat down from the door they came in through, his head jerked intently to a side in a manner that screamed he was doing everything he could to pretend he was regarding the shelves of Pop's brightly colored wares as his pegasus mare nuzzled into him. He stammered out a half-hearted attempt to critique the candied goods in front of him.

"I-i don't r-really see the... the point of all this... this, uh, decorative colored food. It's-It's not like it's- it is needed for....

She she's not like MY mare, I don't own her or anything. I'm, I'm just with-with her not with-with-with her like I was...

It's not-"  His clawed paws minced the title floor beneath them. "It's not what other's think that I care about..."

He trailed off, lowering his voice. "Being with a pony... with anyone... is a... a Thing. A dragon has to be sure about what he claims."

"Aww, but look at you! Crafting, magic! A wandering, starving artist braving the unknown! Why I don't even know what an Ink is! Or how anyone would go about sucking up things or whatever you said! Look how capable you are!! Such gifts given to you that you carried with you unto life! Hay, my parent's didn't make mud for me!" Whett Kindle saddled up along side Cover Up, still a magical, smoldering tower of brimstone smoke to give the other stallion a boisterous, overly friendly hoofpat on the back and -Foomph!- the second his hoof came within a foot of touching him, he snuffed out instantly like he wasn't even aware of being on fire. From his expression unchanged from starting the sentence (though admittedly one is limited in expression when your eyes are white flame) and again no apparent damage of having caught on fire to anything but what he stepped on, it surely didn't seem like Whett was aware of being on fire.

The conspiratorial, friendly buff on the back went on without issue.

"Why we Kirins don't make anything! Or have magic! I mean, sure, weaving a house entirely out of green leaves is some practice but that's habit mostly. Finding a magical spring that stole our voices and dampened our emotions to the point of barely moving for several decades, now THAT was a historical feat! But that's exploration, stumbling upon what you need. It's events that happen, something we all agreed upon, had to happen anyways, no worrying about it."

Whet steamrolled out his life story in a battering of quick sentences in that overly talkative, uncontrolled expression alot of Kirins had a habit of. From his upbeat tone you wouldn't have thought he had given second thought to any of the events he rambled off, unless you had noticed the tense twinge that rattled through his hide down his flank. It was important life events, sure, but he made a point, often, of saying it wasn't anything to dwell on.

"...Well, I mean... yeah. Kirins do burst into flame. We do that. Kind of why we did the whole Spring of Eternal Silence thing. Most usually have better control over it then I do, but... um... th-that was part of our family. Uh, bloodline, heritage, whatever. It was needed. I needed... ...."

From where Whett's hoof lay warm & comfortable over Cover Up's shoulders, if he had looked to his left at where the half-reptilian equine stood he would have seen his head tilting downward, away, his face just absolutely drained of all color and face wrenched seeing another time and filled with emotions.

A moment later his face would un-wilt, slowly tilt back upward in the few seconds' break and continue with much the same chipper tone of voice, but with a quaver hiding in it.

 "... D-don't... be... s-s-so d-down on yourself, man."

“They… Uddo’s family… they’re simple folk. Even with them making a name for themselves, some parts of the old life is still there. They’re getting by just fine, and I’m happy they were able to build a life here. I’d like to think they’d be grateful for the help you sent their way, so thank you, on their behalf.”

“I don’t know if we should tell them about that, but I’d rather they not get involved in your business. They have something good going for them, and it may be better if they are left doing what they do best.”

Seemed like Scarcity had a hoof in helping them get Uddo’s family on their feet. Now that the siblings had some time to think about this, it was rather true that Uddo’s home was above their workshop and store. Judging by the external appearance of the building, they didn’t appear to have much room on the upper floors. There was space for about three or four rooms, maybe an upper storage room if they could still accommodate for that. It may seem a little strange for those accustomed who see Canterlot being synonymous with wealth and prestige, but their home fit right in the old town. Whatever their decisions for their living accommodations were, they may have wanted things to be this way. It was a little reminiscent of how longma homes were made. Newer families had their homes built in the trees while others who had elderly relatives had huts on the ground. This wasn’t always the case, and if there was space for businesses or preference, having a home on the ground can be arranged.

Lin’s attention was drawn to what Scarcity mentioned. The golems would need time to presumably merge with their bodies, and when they meet again, it will be interesting to see what will be in store for their future. If she recalled correctly, they had plans to go their separate ways, to see the world now that they go where they wished. Some had intentions to seek uncharted lands, while others had grown tired of the knowledge they keep, hoping to have it pass on in a new form. Presumably that would be the payment the mare mentioned. She hadn’t forgotten, and neither did Lin. There was always something more going on, but that was something they agreed upon.

“Ms. Scarcity, you don’t need to worry about us being able to wait until the merger happens. It’s the payment I’m curious about. Are you expecting it immediately, or is there more to it?”

“And will we be able to see this merger happen? Sorry, we’re just curious about how that’s going to happen.”

Ruby just shrugged regarding Mystic, she didn't really have anything to add to what had been said because as stated, she hadn't put her nose into her business and thus didn't know much, she only knew enough to know that she didn't need to worry about the pegasus.

She didn't say anything yet but she got an idea relating to the eye of a dragon, they were wondering if it was related to her kind how it affected Ruby, but none of them had realized to point out that they could test it out right now if they wanted, Charir was not only the same species, but very likely a blood relative of Ruby's, so he was a perfect comparison.

Ruby would start moving but she'd still continue on the previous conversation "I know crows sometimes follow those with habit of leaving bodies behind, I have been such individual myself after all, and the Homelands' equivalent is also lot bolder than the Equestrian kind, even stealing food directly from dragon's mouth if they get the chance." dragons weren't the only ones that had evolved to be best of their species in the Homelands, all creatures, even the prey animals, had became tougher and in all the ways more dangerous than in the rest of the world, it was miracle by itself that life ever even started on that hostile mass of land. "But even the most effective killer wouldn't have this amount of them following them, so I must agree it has to have something to do with her pony half, though what I don't know, as from what I have observed, she can't understand the birds any more than anyone else can." besides Fluttershy of course, but that was beside the point.

"And don't call him a pet, that would imply we are obligated to take care of him." She said with slight smirk "I'm not taking care of a bird, their lives are too short."

------------------------------------------------------------

"There isn't really much I can say, I avoided it like I do for all creatures of the forest that aren't currently trying to eat a pony, it noticed me but didn't seem interested in me." Scarecrow explained "It was doing something with what looked like a trap of some sort, I didn't stay long so I don't know what exactly, but it was either breaking it apart or building it, regardless, it seemed it had at least some understanding of using tools, it was also carrying something that was wrapped in a skin of some animal and tied with vines." in hindsight it had been really curious case, but whenever it had happened Scarecrow had decided to ignore it as just another forest creature being weird.

---------------------------------------

"I personally never looked into the research we had on it as it didn't really concern me back then, but I do have my own thoughts about it." Solar explained "First, It is unlikely that the United is behind it, at least as the United, since the records show that it has been happening longer than the alliance has existed, though there's no way of knowing if some nation or individual in the past from that area is behind it." "I personally believe that they have nothing to do with it though, and believe it all started with the first event we have the records for in history." the kobolds seemed thoughtful, they tried to remember if they had read or heard any historical event relating to this "The exact date isn't know, but the short of it is, there's historical evidence of a landmass outside Equestria that was inhabited by a species of dragons different to what you see in Equestria, this landmass also exists here, not only historically, but currently...in our world, it is gone, and not as in, underwater, but entirely gone, like it never existed." "There's also reports of huge magical activity around the area not long after the sisters were corrupted." "So, my personal theory is that whatever made a whole continent disappear into thin air, caused such a magical impact on the reality of our world that the effects are felt to this day in form of tears in our reality." "What makes it even more interesting is that we never managed to create our own portals successfully, they were, and probably still are, always short lived, staying open only for seconds, and it's not really even known if they ever lead outside our own world since there's no time to test it." "This sometimes affects teleportation too."

"For the end result, I don't think it would be a merge with another world, mainly because it has been going on so long that if everything ended up in the same world, here, it would be quite obvious to see." "I think it's more likely the world will rip itself apart and spread itself across several different worlds, it could still lead to death and destruction, but in slightly smaller scale."

He sounded lot more like a living being when saying all this, as in, it didn't sound like a machine reading from a script, and the reason was, because it was different, he wasn't digging into his inner database to look for information, and rather was genuinely sharing his own thoughts affected by his own, biological memory. Though there was still the inner soldier clearly present in his manner of speaking, you couldn't just drop something you had learned to do for your whole life. It was also bit unnerving how casually he mentioned death and destruction.

The Sap Pony tilted her head to the side and dropped one ear in thought.  A century of time isn't something a pony as young as her could have witnessed.  She knew of Harrowmark of course, but the lose of connection was mostly only mentioned by their elders as a way to distance from things their lands weren't able to deal with.  "Jag är inte säker på hur långt vi har kommit på ett sekel. Vi har gjort många framsteg inom medicin sedan gamla dagar. Min syster och jag kom till Equestria för några månader sedan för att öppna vårt eget spa," she tried to explain.  Comparing Equestria to her home land was like comparing apples and oranges.  How one measures progress and advancement my differ.  Equestria was so much bigger, more populus, larger industry and more diverse than in the North.  With those kinds of resources, it was hard to keep pace with their progress.  It was great to have the relations that they did.

"But of course, I reported to them the incidents both in Harrowmark and Manehattan myself," the dutiful unicorn proudly relied.  "They're already hard at work making sure the appropriate recourses to the city are getting where they are needed.  That school will need rebuilt for sure.  As for Harrowmark, they know how quickly things are going to happen.  The Princesses are rather excited to reach out and form relations with another land.  They would like a few words with our Detective here before things kick off as he'll be the beginning of the bridge, as it were," Minty explained, floating the royal invite over to the sitting detective.

Luckily the treatment at the spa gave Rising a boost in energy, his day was just getting more and more busy.  The only Princess he'd actually ever met face to face was Princess Celestia at Dawn's graduation from her School for Gifted Unicorns.  A hoof full of letters had been exchanged between Princess Twilight and he on matters on magical intrigue as an agent of the O.M.I.  Doesn't look like a simple letter to the royal seat was going to cut it this time.  To be expected really.  Another hoof in the pie to build this new bridge.

Dawn plucked the scroll from his hoofs and cracked the wax seal holding it shut.  "No need getting a big head.  Wardrobe first," she directed.  Unrolling the scroll, a little more personalized than the usual summons.  Praises and thanks along with the excitement of a meeting along with the three necessary signatures.  "Ladies, singular colt, I believe it is time our relaxation party moves on," the youngest of the mares concluded.  A schedule to keep after all.

Denne spa er glimrende dog. Meget imponerende."

Not as much information as she had hoped, but alas, just how it were sometimes. Not surprisingly, she did not seem to know much of Harrowmark, but really, was it a wonder? It had been locked off since before the spa pony's great grandmother were even born, and would be little more than a dark splotch on the horizon, of which warnings came to not go too near, lest the undead would take you. It did not spread, so for most, the wise thing would simply be to tell others to stay away, and if they then were foolhardy enough to go and explore, to consider them lost. Harrowmark would be unlikely to let them go, if first they got a grasp in them.

Frankly, it were likely they still wouldn't get a lot of tourists, but there could still be portals set up to provide safe travel to the capitol at least, and they could then move past the shores once more, and see more of the world. Possibly family. Might be some distantly related ones around the north, as some had wisely fled, once Twisted originally started to show some teeth back in the day.

"Perhaps it is time to see how far they have gone then, and see how long we have to prepare? It sounds as if when the bell tolls, there will be much happening. Perhaps there's still time for all your preparations."

She'd lazily summon the bauble over to her, and would start to focus on it. There had been a continued image for a long time, but once she had gotten relaxed, it had fainted, as her focus wasn't there for it. So she needed to reconnect first, then focus things. It would take a few minutes, but at the end, they'd find the wagon again. Roaring ahead, as the diamond dog were almost tearing across the road like a rampaging rhino. A pale aura engulfed much of his extremities as he did this, showing his empowerment by Thistle, whom stood right behind him on the wagon. The rest were hurdled down, with Blighteye actively holding down the cargo, whilst Caramel were handling Sickle. And not too far from them, stood the towering, mediaval town of Copperhagen. The large gates at the front open wide, and dozens of guards standing ready to clear around the road, whilst also keeping the middle clear for their visitors. They were clearly expected.

"Thistle is rushing things along now, it seems. I can imagine they will meet the queen within the hour, and if they are expecting their arrival, they may have prepared the portal chambers too. There might not be more than an hour or two left, before the connection is made after all.

I don't expect that to be a big issue for you all, but if you need a rundown of the country, and the most important things to be aware of, I can provide that for your princesses. I worry less about a social snafu, than a minor geist episode causing them to flee though. If they don't expect death, what they see may cause an accident."

Lily would let out a yawn, and get up from her position, to wander over to where her companions had their own mud treatment removed.

"I suppose, nothing good can last forever. Just let me clean up."

The mud would slide off easily, leaving no trace of it on her coat, which now seemed to almost dazzle with life. She hadn't looked this radiant since... Ever, really. Even with her dress on, she still shone brightly, so to speak. A horrible outcome in Harrowmark, where it'd garner her attention, but in this calm land, where it didn't lead to reasons to be afraid? She could only look in utter surprise and awe.

"Even if I've seen it on the others, it still truly amazes me what this mud can do. Such a remarkable thing. I look forward to trying it again some other day, yet sadly, the time for relaxation is over. It sounds as if there's work to be done."

"Crows are smart creatures, all things considered. If they can find a way, they will take advantage of it, long as it seems safe enough. I've yet to see some that were so brazen as to pick food from a dragons mouth though, unless they were there to clean the teeth, but that kind of symbiotic relationship's pretty rare with most dragons I know.

I guess you're right though. Even if she was a good hunter, she wouldn't have this many following her around. Must have something to do with her pony side. Maybe she have the same sorta thing as that mare... Fluttershy, I think her name was? The element wearer that's surrounded by animals all the time. Anyway, might be she have the same going for her. Must be pretty weird to live with that kind of effect on animals."

It'd leave some easy food options, but they'd likely take a hike if she ate even one of them. She had likely just gotten used to the company eventually, and had some sort of bond with them, but it were a very weird situation. Then again, Equestria was a very weird place at times, so why not? Wouldn't be the craziest thing ever to happen in this country by a long shot. Both before, and during, Leviathan's lifetime. It was nothing compared to when everything suddenly turned to night, or the changeling invasion, as recent examples. Or to pick an older one, the Lime Toad infestation, about three hundred years past.

"It's a shame we can't have a pet ourselves, but I'm sure you're right. Too much effort to take care of this one. Just imagine how many crackers and feather gel he goes through in a month."

"Would you mind?"

"Don't worry, we're weighing the pros and the cons now. We're just trying to think of a pro for you."

Marley would roll his eyes, and simple move on. The chatty dragons could catch up to him if they wanted, but he did not simply want to stand still, to be subjected to their nonsense. Hopefully they'd soon find something, or someone, else to verbally pester, instead of him.

"If something were wrapped up, I can imagine she may have been setting a trap, and already had prey gathered. Perhaps one of these evenings, you could direct me to where you saw her? If she frequents the same hunting grounds, I may be able to find her, if the two of them gets cold feet, and does not seek me out. From what Cheron said, I think this burden is heavier on his shoulders, than he lets on.

*sigh* I wish I could solve all their problems. These equines seem so light and carefree, yet beneath the surface, some harbor anchors that weighs them down, and betrays their smiles. Could they only fly free as the birds, there would be much to rejoice in."

Lyriel seemed caught in thought for a moment, as she gazed in the direction that Cheron had run, with not a word passing her lips. She had so much left to learn of equines, and what odd things weighed upon them. Troubles greater than she had known of, in her small community, far from this town, where no hoof ever stepped.

"Such is life though, I suppose. There will always be hardships, despite how carefree they may seem.

Perhaps we should move on, and find what else are in this area? It appears to be buildings not opened now, despite the ponies wandering town normally now. Perhaps we are in a night district, of some kind? Maybe here is where they wander, those ponies with wings like bats?"

"The exact date isn't know, but the short of it is, there's historical evidence of a landmass outside Equestria that was inhabited by a species of dragons different to what you see in Equestria, this landmass also exists here, not only historically, but currently...in our world, it is gone, and not as in, underwater, but entirely gone, like it never existed." "There's also reports of huge magical activity around the area not long after the sisters were corrupted." "So, my personal theory is that whatever made a whole continent disappear into thin air, caused such a magical impact on the reality of our world that the effects are felt to this day in form of tears in our reality." "What makes it even more interesting is that we never managed to create our own portals successfully, they were, and probably still are, always short lived, staying open only for seconds, and it's not really even known if they ever lead outside our own world since there's no time to test it." "This sometimes affects teleportation too."

"...A landmass vanishing into thin air? I've scoured through enough minds to know certain things, and one is that many smarter beings, believe that matter simply don't vanish. The island went somewhere, and if these portals have shown since, then it maybe got teleported entirely. Perhaps your theory holds merit then, if it happens more portals opened after that. It have made things unstable. That it leads you here then, perhaps means it went somewhere in this world? Can't say I know where it might be, but there are still several undiscovered, or hazardous areas something could be. Certain places where no one returns from alive, where smart beings stay away from. I wonder if perhaps it then went somewhere here?

If it did, you will not find me going out to look for it. It is either a myth, or resides somewhere without paths, or where only death awaits. There are less wasteful things one can spend their lives on, than going on fools quest like that. Though speculation on supposed history, and my own view on adventurers aside, it sounds as if your world will in time, come to an end, and only some fragments will end up elsewhere, with survivors. Such as you three. One can hope those survivors, does not include some of the more troublesome individuals, but knowing Equestria, they will not escape this. This kingdom draws in trouble quite often. Were it not for the abundance of love one can gain from it, I'd question why Chrysalis even wanted to bother controlling it.

In any case, I know nothing of portals, or how to mend issues with them. It sounds as if this takes time too, so do you suspect this will even be an issue in our lifetime? If not, I don't see why it'd matter much to us. It would be more of an issue for the immortals."

Granted, there would be issues for them, as the instability would likely cause a ton of problems for this Equestria even before that, judging by these three crossovers, but realistically, what could she do? She was a single changeling queen, not some interdimensional warrior. She may be able to sway one to deal with this, if she found one like that, but that were really the most she would have part in, that made sense.

"Regardless, speaking of the present crossovers, rather than the future ones, have you reached a point where you can tolerate one another well enough now, or are you within seconds of attempting to fight again?"

"Most certainly. Like most of the populace, they are better off simply living their lives, unaware of many aspects of it. You'd be surprised what might happen to someone, who divulge what they know of the less palatable side."

Scarcity and Rosa would lock eyes as she said this subtle threat. Her with a small smile on her face as per usual, and him with a steely gaze, as if he were trying to find some crack in her defenses, that he could get through.

"There's no need for threats. For all intents and purposes, we only know you, because you heard of what Omen and Lin could do, and hired our group to acquire some historical things that's proven difficult to move."

"Oh darling, you're mistaken."

She'd wander over, and pat him slightly on the cheek, whilst her smile increased slightly more, and the look in her eyes became eerily predatory.

"I don't threaten."

She'd turn around, and start moving towards the house afterwards, and would wave at them to follow her.

"But no need for us to sour our working relationship, no? Do please come in. It would be a shame to waste good tea."

“Ms. Scarcity, you don’t need to worry about us being able to wait until the merger happens. It’s the payment I’m curious about. Are you expecting it immediately, or is there more to it?”

“And will we be able to see this merger happen? Sorry, we’re just curious about how that’s going to happen.”

She would not answer at first, as she would focus her efforts first on going over, and unlocking the door. She did so with a small, silver key, that she had retrieved from Brick's armor, and would have it floated back there right after. As a good body guard, he did not move a muscle, nor say anything as she did this. He simply stood still, and waited for him to be signalled to move into the house. A house which seemed to be filled with fairly regular looking furniture, like you'd expect from a suburban house in any small community. There were also a selection of hats of dresses that were a few sizes too big, and in a floral theme that didn't seem like Scarcity would be caught dead in, hanging nearby too. It seemed to indicate someone else may be living here.

"I can imagine they may need some preparation time to uphold their end of the bargain, but I will go over the details with them when the merger have finished. A process which you are free to watch as much of, as the Stone Matron allows. The whole thing is rather steeped in precise rituals, so she may not be keen on onlookers, as it reaches the critical stages. I have my doubts she will let any of us see everything, yet what is open for viewing, I'm sure we could arrange for you to witness."

"And you're not worried that after all of this, they may try to deceive you, and not pay their share?"

"Sadly always a risk one takes when doing business, though I have a contingency plan ready, in case they decide that they are above paying their dues. This have been quite a heavy investment, and I do not think it unreasonable to expect the product I paid for, to then be denied me, no?"

"What kind of contingency?"

Scarcity did not answer this, but merely made her way further into the house, where eventually, they'd reach a sizable kitchen, wherein a robust mare in her greying years stood and were preparing a large tray of various biscuits, and assorted, organic fruit pieces, next to a tea pot and some cups.

"A lovely smell as always, Angie."

The mare turned and looked down on Scarcity, then came over to use one of her meaty legs, to embrace the antiques dealer. Scarcity would take it, and gently hug back the other mare, whilst Brick looked closely, and tensed his muscles. Nothing did happen, but he always had to prepare for something that might.

"For you? Ohnly de best, my frehnd."

She spoke with a deep voice, and an accent that sounded like she came from another country. Rosa had about three different ones in mind, but he needed to hear more, to make sure.

"A fortunate mare I am, to have you as one.

Angie, these are my guests. Sen, and his brother Lin. My new employee, Sub Rosa, and this is their peculiar companion, Omen."

"De vohn dat is sniffing de hats?"

"Indeed. Everyone present, this is Angle Cutter. Or Angie, as she prefers. A dear friend, and the one who maintains, and lives in this house. No need to be secretive around her. We go back some years."

He trailed off, lowering his voice. "Being with a pony... with anyone... is a... a Thing. A dragon has to be sure about what he claims."

"The candy? What, you never had a sweet tooth? Most beings like candy, as a little sweet in their lives, never hurt. Here, try something that tends to go over well with dragons."

She'd go and fetch a small bag from the store quickly, that were sitting on a high shelf. Benny followed it with intense eyes, and a certain hunger gleaming within, but he knew better than to try and snatch one. This wasn't for him.

The bag had about seven crystals, encased in home-made, crystalized caramel. Benny and Spike, were the primary ones who spend his coins on these, but other dragons tended to like it. A bit of sweet with their meal, that were of course, dangerous for non-dragons. One more reason it were on a high shelf, so no foal accidentally tried to get it.

She'd hand the bag to him, before moving on to what else the flustered dragon went on about. Lest Benny would do so first. Either way, she'd approach with a smile, and no judgements, as the dragon attempted to keep some pride up, whilst obviously being smitten. Aaah, the early days of finding a loved one. Awkward and sweet, all at the same time.

"Well, want my advise here? Just go in for it, and don't care about what others are saying. They're gonna have words, but they don't matter. How you two are feeling with each other is the most important thing. And if there's any sort of questions, about how it works with interspecies relationships, we can help you. Look how capable you are!! Such gifts given to you that you carried with you unto life! Hay, my parent's didn't make mud for me!"

Cover Up didn't really know how to deal with nice comments, beyond just folks telling him that his art looked nice. And even then, he just kind of said *thank you* and moved on.

"It's uhm... N-Nothing, really. It was tradition in my town, that when someone got their cutie mark, they'd get a gift that would help them with that. I got mine from painting, so I got a brush. I'm sure Equestrians have that too in some ways. And they have a lot of really impressive, special talents. I just paint.

And uhm... I'm not starving. I know how to ration, when there are bad days."

He thankfully also knew well what sort of plants in nature that were edible, if not all that tasty, so that tended to help him a good deal too. Though of course, not all days were as... Fulfilling as others, he still wouldn't say he was a starving artist. He'd met others who had it far worse than him.

He'd wince once more, as a burning hoof got near him, yet it thankfully seemed to fizzle out, before he'd end up with a bald, and burnt patch on his back. How could a creature not realize they randomly got set on fire like this? It just seemed so unlikely that you could just gloss over something as massive as that. Kirins were certainly the most strange of all the races he had met, since leaving the ruins of his former home. A long leap, from when he had met a minotaur the first time, and he thought nothing else would manage to top such a creature. How wrong he had been then, and likely, he would be so again now, if he thought Kirins was the worst. He heard of draconequui after all, despite thankfully not running into Discord yet.

On 2021-10-30 at 7:30 AM, Widdershins said:

I needed... ...."

"You had your voices stolen? IS there more to that story? Like, why would so many go to visit a place, that would do such a thing? Did you fear your emotions rising that high, that the fire would be too dangerous, and thought it a worthwhile tradeoff, maybe? I'm s-sorry if it's a dumb, or personal question. I'm just curious, as it sounds like taking on a curse, and my culture have enough curses in it, to know that it shouldn't be taken lightly. I'm sure it made a lot of sense to do that for your kind, at the time.

Also, how uhm... Bad are the flames? I'm really hate to be burnt alive. Not that I'm saying you'd do it on purpose, sir. O-Of course not. Just uhm... Accidents happen, r-right?"

He were fidgetting a bit, but he really didn't mean anything bad with it. He just worried that if something did accidentally happen, that he might end up paying a harsh price for it, and had to know if he needed to take extra precautions.

On 2021-10-30 at 7:30 AM, Widdershins said:

From where Whett's hoof lay warm & comfortable over Cover Up's shoulders, if he had looked to his left at where the half-reptilian equine stood he would have seen his head tilting downward, away, his face just absolutely drained of all color and face wrenched seeing another time and filled with emotions.

A moment later his face would un-wilt, slowly tilt back upward in the few seconds' break and continue with much the same chipper tone of voice, but with a quaver hiding in it.

 "... D-don't... be... s-s-so d-down on yourself, man."

His worry about himself, lasted about that long only though, as it seemed like the otherwise chipper Whett, were having a bit of a moment here. A bad one at that, as he seemed to be experiencing some kind of downer episode, so to speak. He appeared to get out of it again, but something were going on there, and it genuinely worried Cover Up. Maybe Whett had something really heavy weighing him down, that he struggled with? It wasn't nice going around with that. He knew.

"Uhm... Whett? Are you okay? I don't mean to pry, but you sounded a bit down yourself."

No shadow in there, would be looking like Light, even remotely. None of the countless amount of shadows that made the large, many-eyed mass pushing at the opening, to get a good look at the ponies there, even tried to. What little form they appeared to have at times, were constantly changing, so nothing remained for long.

As for which Light was the right one, Hammond would look around as he were poked, and tried to focus on where the real Light were. It might not be one of the two that he could see, yet he didn't know. SO, he'd sniff towards them, trying to judge by smell. And unless the clones contained some of his life energy within, he'd be able to tell they were fake. Though he had to be closer to the real one, to catch on to his smell. Likely stood invisible nearby though, so he'd find the smell, and then focus his gaze on the pony fully. If not, he'd just eventually stop trying, and jump over to poke the Light's one by one.

Inside the shadow realm, the eyes would be very interested in the crystal, and in the version of Light they could now see, circling around, and whispering in unknown tongues, with the multitude of words not said by mouths, but whispering in his mind.

It wouldn't take long, before the voices began to use the common tongue though. Rudimentary and crude, yet their message in the myriad of voices seemed to be the same:

"Magic makes whole. Master chose, we serve."

A few more things would come, but essentially, the *sets' of eyes, ranging from 1-12 per individual, offered to serve, in exchange for being made whole. Which would require magic. Light might not think this was all that tempting, and likely more alarming, but Molotov seemed like he were thinking on it, since the whispers reached him too.

@Thunder Light

Pop Rock would be moving away, slinking around in smaller side alleys and the like, and heading back towards the area in which the hospital were. Needle lived near there, so this would be her goal to reach. Since she didn't know she were being tracked by a ghost, she just wandered around and shook off eyes on her, like she regularly did. Not like many cared normally though. She were just a diamond dog, wandering around. Most barely thought her worth the time to look in her direction.

As for Sorrow, she'd see the hoof, and would give off a notable meep, before diving in, half of her body down in the container, and do hers to grab hold of, and pull out, what seemed to be Cimex. All the time, whilst silently begging that she were alive, and that whoever put her down here, hadn't killed her. She didn't deserve that kind of fate.

"Pleasepleasepleasebeokay!"

We could make potions together and experiment with them as a way to benefit, and to sell them so we can profit off of it as well. This is astonishing, most certainly. To think that I did something so mundane, that it could be lesser known or not previously done at all. We have much to do, and much will be done." she said with glee. Rarely did Magnolia seem giddy but in this context? She most certainly was.

"We can try to see what a little spark of shadow could do in a lot of potions. Actually... Hold on a moment."

Using her magic, Zeehva would uncork the big bottle of Midas Tears, and then float a portion out, that's fit with the amount of a spoonful. She'd hold that up in front of Magnolia - after putting the cork back again, of course - and looks curiously at the mare.

"Try adding a little to this, and then we'll try putting that on the stone, and see if something changed. I'm fairly curious what it might do. Maybe it'd give the glimmer a lovely shade of glimmering purple? That would be amazing. The Night Guards, and Princess Luna's fans, would be nearly jumping over themselves to gain some of that.

This is going to be exciting. Just imagine what wondrous things may come of this. And what warning labels likely also have to be made. I can't imagine it will always go well."

As for what would happen here... She honestly didn't know, but she surely looked forward to it. And soon as Magnolia were ready, she'd add the mixed liquid to the stone, and then see what's happen.

Light was actually more worried that Molotov is more interested on the whispers of the whisps. but soon had an idea.

"Molotov... want to give it a try?" Light asked.

" oh shades from another portal, I offer you my magic through him, for traces of my magic course through his vanes."

Light offers Molotov to the shades to become their master.

little did Molotov knew that not only did Light just took away his injuries and ailments in his body, Light also implanted a decent amount of his magic within him. his purposes? unknown for sure, might be for emergency uses. nevertheless it was down right violating to say the least.

this way shades who asked light for magic are technically given magic of Light but in Molotov's body.

this way Light can observe safely if the shades are evil or not... he doesn't care for it's servitude to him but it's intentions.

so anything that happens to Molotov will be his judgement to the beings.....

plus if it all goes well Molotov would be more useful and less weak, is what Light's thoughts. forgetting that it might turn out badly for Molotov.

that all depends on Molotov's actions that is.

but if Molotov would only give a small hesitation and if it's easy to persuade him Light would give him a gentle push.

" go on Molotov it'll be good for you."

meanwhile at the ruined hospital.....

"I wonder what your siblings are up to?"

Cali spoke to Blitz and Blue, while self healing herself.

" I'll be patched up in a minute or so. then we can catch up to them. I don't like the idea of leaving them alone with Light.... especially when I got some of the memories Light gave me...."
