Wisdom teeth

I had all mine taken out in late 2008, early 2009. I remember my mouth bleeding a lot, but no serious pain. I could also drink milkshakes the rest of the day since I couldn't eat anything else.

I think I might have wisdom teeth? My parents don't have them though, but I was looking up pictures and yeah I might have them. If I do, I'm terrified to get them taken out...

I get the occasional jaw pain on the right side that's about it.

Mine grew in within the past year, I only have one though, top left.

I don't need it to be pulled out because I already had 4 back teeth pulled before (at the same time in every corner of my mouth haha...I told the orthodontist to pull them all and get it over with) and got braces before, so there is room in the back for it to stay there :)

I still have mine.  Am worried though, as they're all complicated and dug in deep where all the nerves are.  Dentist says there would be a risk involved with getting paralyzed in the face with removing any of them.  Darn!

I still have my wisdom teeth. They don't bother me right now. I don't know if I'll remove them or not.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I am twenty-one years old. I have had all four wisdom teeth for years now. I remember going into the dentist to get a cavity filled and them telling me to set up a time for surgery to have my wisdom teeth removed. I told him that they weren't bothering me, and that I am not going to get them removed until they bother me. He insisted on me having them removed as soon as possible, and wouldn't let it go until I actually left the dentist office. I am now convinced there is some sort of wisdom tooth conspiracy, because my wisdom teeth don't hurt me, but that brah really wanted me to get my wisdom teeth removed. He more than insisted, it almost felt like he was demanding it. Creepy shite, bros.

Let me just say something.

Most people have wisdom teeth that are impacted, and that's why they have to have them removed. That was not the case for me. I had all four wisdom teeth in their correct places by the time I was 16. They didn't bring me any pain, except for when they first started coming in. I was told I needed them removed, but like you, I insisted otherwise.

Until one day. Since the wisdom teeth are so far back, it's hard to clean them. My gums became infected back there, and it led to intense pain. The gum swelled up to cover the top of the wisdom tooth, and if anything touched it, it felt like a stick of C4 going off in that spot. That day, I booked an appointment with the dental surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed. I could do nothing else until the infection went away a few days later.

The removal of wisdom teeth is done as a preemptive measure. Having them infected is much, much worse. It was so painful... in comparison, having all four of my teeth extracted felt like napping on a cloud.

I've had two of mine out but one of them grew in on a really funky angle and became infected so that was painful, even with all the medication they gave me. Normally it wouldn't be so bad, the numbing helps a lot.

I still have my wisdom teeth at 18. My bottom left one hurts like hell every once in a while but I just take some motrin and it eventually goes away. The pain never stays so I haven't gone to the dentist for it.  I'm hoping eventually it will just grow in and be fine.

It varies. My bro had it worse than I did. His teeth were fused to they bone so they had to break them off, and the anesthetic they used didn't do much to help. He was grouchy for days (not that it wasn't unusual for him anyways)

Me on the other hand took it pretty well. The nitrus did it's job real well. They say it supposed to make you laugh, but what it really did was make me talkitive. I was just cool w/ everything, my thoughts kicking into overdrive, not feeling any pain and being totally fascinated with it. I even saw my Anime OC characters standing in the room, talkign to eachother and talkign to me. They told me that I should really be listening to the dentist.

Best trip to the dentist office ever!

I didn't even have those embarassing momets of panic or trippyness that alot of oral surgery patients on youtube seem to have.

Even the pain was magagible. Just became like Dr.House and took my vicodin regularly and slept most of the time.

That was and will probably be the closest I'll ever come to getting stoned.

A friend of mine had to get his wisdom teeth removed a few months ago, and from what he told me about it it was a pretty intense and unpleasant experience.

Even though I'm 18 I have yet to have to get mine removed, because they aren't causing me any problems. I'm going to keep them as long as I can.

I'll be honest. I have horribly bad teeth. I've had my wisdom teeth pulled a long with others. Some of my wisdom teeth grew in and replaced the missing teeth. I'm actually getting dental surgery done soon, and I'm clearly not looking forward to it. However, my teeth have to come out. I have special needs too, so it was a hassle for my parents to get me to brush my teeth because I'd literally go into the bathroom and forget what they had told me to do.
