How are the Mane Six's instruments related to their personality?

Cause one, Twilight has great voice. Two, Rarity is faboulous and so is keytar. Three, Fluttershy can't do shit accept look after animals. Four, Pinkie is feking mental and has lots of energy for drumming. Five, RD seems like the type to play an electric. and six, AJ drops the bass.

Well, I can tell you right now that vocalists are supposed to be the one that stands out and the center of a group anyways, so it's a good spot for Twilight. Helps that she was the last to show up, as well.

If you want to know why Pinkie Pie got drums, have you ever seen a solo on those? It's the most energetic of instruments, and you really have to move to keep up with those things. It's really perfect for someone like Pinkie

 

Remember that Rarity was originally going to go with a grand piano, one of the most elegant and beautiful of all the musical instruments. Instead, she used a keyguitar, since grand piano's tend to hog the stage, and wouldn't fit in with the rest of the band. It's a rather generous instrument.

 

Fluttershy- soft and quiet. Tambourine- soft and quiet. 'Nuf said

For Applejack, the bass instrument is kinda ideal. It's not soft and pretty like the piano or the tambourine. It's not hyperactive and over the top like drums or the guitar. It's rather plain, but it holds itself strong. In a song, bass will always have your back in the end. Sorta like AJ...

And Rainbow Dash. Guitars are the most show offish of the musical instruments. Rainbow is the most show-offish of the Main Six. It helps that she has enough energy to really work the thing.
