Would you rather speak every language or master every instrument?

I think I would personally prefer to master every instrument.

The catch here though is that the one you don't choose, you will never be able to accomplish so choose wisely :P

Definitely languages. :D I'm not really into playing instruments, but anyone who knows me knows that I love languags... even though I'm not very good at them to be honest.

That would give me the chance to be able to understand hard languages that I doubt I'll ever have the chance to learn, like Finnish :)

There are over 5000 languages

Languages. There's grace in music, but all the mastery in the instruments in the world won't help me when i'm not going to play all of them, really. The only instrument i'm interested in playing is a sax, and even then i never really learned how to play it.

Well, I'm both a linguist and musician, but I'd have to say that the history of a language fascinates me much more than the actual spoken language itself, I find more interest in learning a wide array of instruments more attractive.

Ah, a tough decision for the phantom. That...would depend.

Where I'd like to speak Afrikaans, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Korean, and maybe French perfectly...

I'd also like to be able to play guitar, piano, flute, drums, and various other instruments I can't think of right now.

Probably language over instruments for the most part.

Languages would honestly be more useful, but I would go with every instrument, of course! I could finally actually be good at something, and something I love with that!

I would like to learn languages more than instruments. If I'm mad at someone, I can then swear at them in a language they don't understand, which sounds funny to me.

Language, because in my mind, music is a language in and of itself, and every instrument has a language of itself. So it would there fore make it so I can learn every instrument as well.

Wellll, as much as it would be cool and practical to learn all the languages in the world, and there would never be a language barrier anywhere I go... And well yeah :P, I always have the desire to play other instruments other than my own (the trombone and euph). Like there's a lot of good piano, sax, string, trumpet, (etc) music parts that would be fun to play and entertain oneself and others with :).

Language over music. Being a linguist can give you a very successful career. One of the people who used to be at my school mastered more instruments more than sixteen instruments, but this only made him a successful musician.

I would rather master every language. I'm not an instrument person. I never liked playing the recorder in elementary.  Oh my god, Who remembers Hot Cross Buns? That was stupid :P
