I have an android phone, it's a Samsung I like it.

I tried to get an S3 with my contract but they only had Windows 8 phones left and before that I just had a crappy phone that was an old nokia so I went with it. I got an Android 4.4 10.1" tablet later and I much prefer that OS. I use an Imac for anything more business related. But android is definitely the way to go for leisure, the customizability of it is much better than Windows 8, for one thing I can use Chrome on android on Windows 8 phone you have to use Internet Explorer. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Nokias are good though, had an old one for a while still looks like new.

The phone I had before my Windows 8 smartphone was so old it wasn't even touch screen. The Nokia Lumnia 520 is the smartphone I currently have, and honestly it sucks but it's small enough to take with me. My Android tablet is what I use like 95% ot the time.

I recently made a switch from iOS to Android. Android suits me better than iOS.

Android is better for customizing not too mention way cheaper. The only apple products worth getting are for the macbooks, Imacs, or mac pro's but that's if you want to do work on them.

I had a Android phone, but it bricked itself recently.  :(

I often use my iPod for on-the-go purposes and for tasks like Twitter and reading blogs I follow.

To be honest, I'd really like a Windows phone, at least to try it out, it's territory I've never touched on at all.  :P

have you tried the 8.1 upgrade ?

Yes, but the OP didn't seem to want OS versions to be taken into account (and discussing fragmentation can lead to many a headache so I understand).

As a B2B application developer, discussing Android vs iOS as a platform becomes an exercise in silliness to me. Both have their definite pros and cons, from ease of coding, testing, and implementation, to approval of a private B2B application.  Android does not win on all of those aspects and neither does iOS. However, if I had a choice for creating a hobby project with little start-up costs - Android all the way. If I was a entrepreneur and per cap component revenue was a factor, iOS would be my focus.

Windows loses on every count though.

I have a nexus 7 (2013) LTE, running Android 4.4.4. If you can, please be sure to support both landscape and portrait modes, in your apps. :)

Oh, and if you make any games, having Bluetooth gamepad support as one of the input options, if its like a platformer or something, would be great.
