What Mojang needs to do is optimize Minecraft more so people don't lag out while playing with all this stuff. I just went from 1.6, playing with smooth lighting and 37 fps to 1.7 and having my frames in the low teens on smooth. If it were Notch, this wouldn't happen to me and a lot of other people.

If you're just logging into the server to play, you shouldn't have any issues what so ever. However, the server does have a tendency to have some issues that reidsma does try to take care of, and not all the time the server likes to play nice. As for your connecting to it, it could be local (your end), ISP, cable modem, wifi router/LAN hub, or server (host end)

I am doing major updates and upgrades. And hopefully the random teleporting will be figured out also. I am in the process of getting help with that issue.

 

Cloudsdale has been moved! It was shadowing Ponyville and the surrounding buildings. It was moved just to the northeast of Ponyville over the water and beach areas. There will be teleporters like before.

 

I am setting up an economy mainly. All open buildings will have a sign infront of them that says "for sale" or sell and if you like the building you can right click on that sign and PURCHASE that building for the indicated price.

 

players gain money buy simply logging on once. 5 scootaloons (the name of the money) is applied to each players bank every 1200 seconds.

 

With this major upgrade every building is griefer protected with worldguard, all unsold buildings are only editable by admins (assuming I remembered to add both of our names ) and once a player purchases that building, that building will be editable by that player. However, all players should be able to enter every building like normal unless a player owns that building and has lockette on it.

 

Like before, if you build your own building you will need to contact an admin and have one of us worldguard it from griefers if you want to avoid random damage from them.

Tax return needs to get here. I want to have my custom rig. I have it all planned out. I really want to use shaders, and my  laptop runs Minecraft pretty damn well, but some addons wouldn't run.

Also, new doors are being added! That's pretty cool.

Whitelist me. (Lord_IceCold) I need to check how laggy the server will be for me, given the fact I'm from EU.

I'll get back with my experiences about it in a relatively short time. If I won't, feel free to remove the whitelisting.

My brother keeps saying that Terraria is better than Minecraft, and that Minecraft is a cheap knockoff of it. I'm unsure what to say about that.

It's actually Terraria taking MC and changing its basic aspect into 2D game, then starting to go its own way.

Sorry but as of right now the server is actually offline. We discovered quite the bit of griefing (thanks to the people who simply refuse to pay any attention to us telling them to contact us admins so we can worldguard their buildings) and now we are having to re create the original map.

 

Cloudsdale is being added in but everything else will be set back to a previous date. The current plan is for all the cities to be moved closer together so we can monitor them easier and so players actually use them more.

 

It will be terribly hard to update the server on a thread with other servers and conversations going on. I guess I will add in a blog or forum to the website and post everything there.

Servers co-owner here. We have decided to just start a new map with the Ponyville portion only and redo everything before public release. However, Ponyville will NOT be named Ponyville any longer as it will be named Manetropolis. Players will be subject to survival mode only as to keep griefing down to a minimal and will be required to find their own materials. The mob spawner that I have imported several months back will be staying as to help with whatever is needed to be done in there (enchants, exp farming, certain material collection, ect.). Though we don't like the idea of having to do this, but after all the griefing that has happened to the map, it is for the best interest of the players in mind. I know many have spent the last month or so working on Cloudsdale, fret not, that should be reapplied to the map and close to Manetropolis, but NEVER over it. These changes to the map entirely will upset the current players due to what they have gained or created (minus those who have houses in Manetropolis), but what needs to be done has to be done. Current players that are in creative mode will be forced back to survival mode. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but it's a fresh start with a fresh map and more opportunities to explore an even more open world than what is currently available.

Hi everyone

The server is off of whitelist and has had major updates. An overview of which are going to be listed.

 

A new map is up, all cities are still available but only cloudsdale and ponyville can be built on. All buildings in ponyville are protected but can be bought by right clicking on the sell signs on said building. You will then be deducted the points and will own the building, it will also be protected with worldguard.

 

This brings up the point system, we now have sort of an economy. Every so often 5 points will be added to your account, you start off with 10 points but to deter grief in the form of buying upon joining all houses are above 10 points.

 

Mutiverse is installed. All cities are in separate worlds. All pixel art has been added to a separate world. If you want to build pixel art then maybe build it offline and send me a zip of the world and I will import it. Or if enough people get interested we can figure something else out. A new teleportation station has been built and a decent sized block spawning station has been built which contains buttons to spawn almost everything needed to build a house. Just no armor.

 

Creative mode is no longer available. Thanks to those who were given it before that abused it, enchanting ground in the middle of cities and spawning massive amounts of chickens crashing the server.

 

If the server is laggy or anything let me know.

So guys, I have to throw this out there. I've been part of this server for a few months now, and I'm completely addicted to it. It's the best server for Minecraft that I've ever been on so far. The staff are friendly and helpful, they have a forum base which uses the same basic engine as MLPforums, so it's easy to use. There's so many members online frequently, and the staff keep things interesting with warp events every few days.

 

This server features a real-time dynmap for both creative and survival world maps, and provides a points system and rank system based on how active you are. They've kept things very basic, so no crazy mods or anything, but they have plugins like Lockette and home warping, as well as player based teleporting so you can find your friends easily.

 

Lastly, I have to say, griefing is nearly non existent, because the staff ban anyone who does it. They use Prism to check logs on who placed/broke which blocks, and can boot problem players. They will also roll back any damage done by that player for you. It's really great.
Everything is done fairly, and if someone gets banned, they can post for an appeal on the forums.

@, We already have a Minecraft general discussion thread that you can post servers in. We would rather all servers be posted in this thread rather than individual threads, so I have merged yours with it.
