Griffon the Brush Off Analysis and Equestrian Hypocrites

OK, this is my first analysis topic. So please do constructively criticize or praise my thinking. I was watching ''Griffon The Brush Off'' and was thinking, Twilight and Pinkie are both Hypocrites. Twilight accuses Pinkie of Misjudging Gilda, Then later blames herself for Misjudging Pinkie, then a season later Shining accuses Twilight of Misjudging his wife, and then it was all clear. The problem is, everyone and anyone in Equestria can be a Hypocrite. Shining Misjudged Twilight, and Pinkie then Misjudged her. The other problem I have with the episode is the disproportionate retribution with Gilda, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash set up pranks for her simply because she was mean and rude, but she did petty actions. Such as steal an apple that cost very little, scream at Fluttershy, and accuse Pinkie, twice. Why should that involve such a cruel prank, Twilight says that the moral was that real friends are better than false friends and you shouldn't misjudge people. But that is like Celestia blatantly ignoring the note and one season later says ''You have a lot to think about''. The problem I have is that they could have shown Gilda the error of her ways through rational thinking, perhaps intimidate her about her childhood(which is not too good, I must admit), at least counsel her, and instead they cause a very mean prank on her. It's disproportionate retribution at it's finest. Do you have any thoughts on this? Because I think that in Equestria, anyone and everyone can be a hypocrite. The Mane 6, Shining and Celestia are Hypocrites. Because they all misjudge each other. What do you think?

Misjudgement times in MLP.

Griffon the brush off, ''You must be misjudging Gilda'' ''I misjudged you''.

A Canterlot Wedding, This,

The problem is every character Misjudges each other. Shining vs Twilight, Twilight vs Pinkie, Celestia and the Mane 6 vs Twilight. And No real apology at the end of the episode, so therefore. Misjudgement with no apology.

Note that everytime Shining Armor gets stressed, his brain goes off, indicating the effects of the spell were making him stressed, also note that he is being extremely unnecessarily pedantic.

I'm just patiently waiting for a response.

Good observation.

I believe that Celestia's aside to Twilight immediately after the pronouncement of marriage is meant to act as a final acknowledgement regarding mistakes in judgment on everyone's behalf. Since the Mane Six had already apologized earlier (though a single character) it would appear redundant to have a series of apologies from the rest of the cast. So, Celestia is used to drive it home in general, and Shining Armor is used to focus on reestablishing the bond that Twilight and he have.

Yes, I have often said RD should have been the Element of Honesty, not Loyalty.  This episode is a near perfect example of what I'm talking about.  She goes around pranking ponies & Pinkie has to stop her from pranking Fluttershy (Dude, when Pinkie is the Voice of Reason, then you are Going Too Far).  Then, she ditches P to hang with G. IMO, a loyal friend would have tried to bring them together. A loyal friend would have helped G make more friends. A loyal friend would have tried to reconcile her friends instead of ditching G.

To err is human.  To blame it on someone else is even more human (It is literally the oldest excuse in the Bible).  Being hypocritical is  a major human trait.  "Do as I say & not as I do" is as old as being human.

Twilight was actually a voice of reason in Griffon the Brush Off at first but then blindly sided with Pinkie Pie when she noticed some of Gilda's less than honorable actions. It of course dosen't change the fact that Gilda handled things poorly but the fact is that Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash didn't handle things very well either yet Gilda got all the blame which speaks to a profound double standard and one of the most significant examples of misjudgment in the series. It also made the moral about false friends being hugely misplaced, it is a good moral and is true but is the worst execution and circumstance of one I have ever seen in this series. For Shining Armor I think we can cut him a little slack with him being under mind control but Celestia really did an epic fail in that episode.

Twilight admittedly could have handled things a bit better than simply with the whole "she is evil" routine even though she did in fact turn out to be right she did not have the whole story until later but is understandable as she didn't want any harm to come to her brother. Since Cadence is supposed to be Celestia's niece I would think she would notice the fact that "Cadence" was acting rather suspicious and maybe try to figure out what is going on.

I've just realized that Simeon Yetarian from GTA V has the same character flaw. He misjudges other people as being racist. So he misjudges others for misjudging him. Making him a hypocrite.

Simeon likes to use his ethnicity to his advantage and will accuse anyone he does not like of being racist. Also, even the protagonist's misjudge each other. Michael is misjudged by his family as uncaring. He does care, but his family are so embroiled in his criminal life and are so dysfunctional that it is hard for him to understand his family. He later gets them into a lot of trouble by SPOILERS: a Merryweather team holding them ransom. It's what comes if you misjudge people. You could get them into trouble. Shining and Celestia could have put the entire of Equestria in trouble because they did not listen to Twily. It's the second time Celestia has acted stupid. The first being the time saying ''Twilight that's just your head in books''.

I guess the point to it is that they are still learning. Even the princess of equestria can't be right all of the time.
