Do you feel you aren't the age you really are?

I'm 22, coming on 23 and I feel a bit younger than I actually am. Though I've always been a bit more mature than most of my colleagues, I have to occasionally remind myself that I'm an adult and make executive decisions on my own behalf. I suppose I'll get used to adulthood soon once I start doing interviews in January and "get in character."

for a 16 year old (yep, young :P) I feel like I am more mature than many of my age counterparts, but I do often look back at something I wrote about a month ago and its just like "Why am I so stupid"

With one or two other people, I am reasonably playful, but normally I'm outwardly very serious.

As im writing this, I feel like im actin

Yknow what, just leaving at that, probs gonna deleate half of this later, sorry.

I'm the most carefree and childish 22 year old I know (。・ω・。)

(But I'm also very responsible and think of everyone before myself, like a big brother) (*ノ・ω・)

I felt this way all the time in my teenage years because I felt like I was surrounded by immature idiots in high school with of course a few exceptions and related a bit more to adults than people my own age. As I got to my 20's I started to related a bit more to my own peers though and began to dislike a lot of things I saw in people older than me as well. As for today I don't really care about that anymore.

I'm 19 and a half but I look younger. I also feel younger in a lot of respects, but occasionally I act as if I'm much older. I know I'm much smarter than other people my age. But in all honesty I'd rather feel younger than older.

I am seventeen, and I feel like I am more mature that I look. It actually depends on how people look at me. I mean, if you saw me when I'm alone, I act completely different one on one than with I'm with a group of friends or colleagues. I do feel like I am at least twenty years old because I have tons of responsibilities that I do on my own. I don't know I could debate on this for a long time.

I'm 30 but I haven't changed much since I was 20. Not married, no kids, no mortgage, and not interested in any of them really.

People used to tell me I'd be different when I got older. Shows what they know.

Bah! Are you kidding! I feel 7 trapped in a 22 year old body! I do adulty things like work and pay bills and swear and shit like that, but I can have the random energy out of nowhere that a 7 year old would have. I got out of shape so when I try to be energetic, I quickly lose it because it's hard to stay bouncy and bubbly when you weigh in at 225 pounds. .-.

I'm 18, but if I were to determine what age I live, I'd say I'm 14.

I'm very mature when it comes to keeping my mouth shut in class. I actually hate everyone at school for being immature.

However, when class isn't in session, I have problems verbally communicating with friends. I'm so uptight :/

The reason I say I'm living the life of a 14 year old, though, is because I can't drive- I have nobody to teach me.

My parents/family discourage me from getting a job.

And my family treats me as an underling. 14 is around the time your parents are supposed to start treating you differently from that of a 7 year old, I believe. My parents never have, though.

I am 17.  For the past few years, I have noticed that I feel immature when I hang out with kids 2 years younger than me and that my maturity is most similar to that of kids 3 years younger than me.  However, at times, I act more maturely than some adults...

DOD makes military personnel take an online physical health assessment that deals with pretty much what you are talking about. and the more I talk to people the more I find that pretty much everyone 'feels' that way...but mentally or physically they are younger for some reason at least half the time.

Example, Myself;

Male, 25yo - PHA age 56

It's a common joke of mine that I'm a 17 year old going on 60, just from all the physical pain I've end up with (bad back, knee pains, some minor arthritis). My mature yet almost cranky attitude doesn't quite help me trying to disprove that theory either. So, definately always felt older than what age I really was.
