"Fine, we have no choice do we?" I looked to the waiter, "I guess I'll have a daffodil and daisy sandwich please, with a side of carrots as well." He looked at Darkeye, "How about you sir?" 

 

Meanwhile on the outside at the opposite end of the window... 

 

"Shhh...they will hear us. No you quiet!" The boys exclaimed in their quiet arguing in a bush adjacent to the window Rain and Darkeye were sitting at. "If you guys get us grounded, I will personally have your heads", said Violet in a quiet demand. Everyone shut up then with three tiny pairs of eyes watching their parents through a bush.

Darkeye thought to say zebra meat, but managed to refrain from doing that. "I think I will have a Apple soup and Ratatouille". "Very good sir, magnifique. Your food will have arrive soon, but first, your drinks" the waiter quickly went away and came back with the drinks. Darkeye smiled.

dash laughed "i think she likes you"

Strawberry lemonade was watching the distortion of the barrier until she got tired, then she trotted over to elegron and fell asleep next to him and dash.

Greenleaves was just trying not to laugh at the group of ponies all sleeping in a pile. she sat down next to lasher and smirked "with those three sleeping like that, things could get... interesting."

Lasher looked at Greenleaves, his face going red yet again. "Oh goddesses, will this weirdness ever end?". 

 

The waiter came back with the food that had been ordered. He laid it before them, it had been cooked well and made to look really fancy. "Vous serez en bonne" he backed away bowing.

"What did they get? Stop pushing me! Stop pushing me first!" The bush making slight movements but could be mistaken for a small rodent. "You guys are impossible, I wish I had sisters..." Violet said annoyed. "If guys want to stay stallions, you WILL be quiet and observe like a real ninja like me! Ohh, I am so asking mom for carrots now," said violet. "Me first Vi!" "Ugh, just everyone play the quiet game and he will get my allowance." The three were suddenly so quiet that crickets could be heard for the first time in minutes.

 

"I like my simple meals, you always go all out at times like these. Say, the animals are really scavenging tonight huh?" referring to the bush. "Anyway, I can't help but think about the foals. I wonder if our kids are okay? They should be asleep by now right?"

greenleaves got closer to lasher, grinning "all it takes is for elegron to wake up, and half asleep, he will almost undoubtedly misplace a hoof somewhere." it took everything she had not to burst out laughing from his reaction. "you know its... "coming" soon" she couldnt hold it in any longer, she was rolling on the floor laughing "you should see the look on your face!"

Lasher's face was literally burning red. He started mumbling, irritated. 

 

"Well, they are offering us a discount, so I thought I would use the chance to get something fancy. The kids should be in bed, who did you leave to watch them over? I hope not one of the doofus guards".

"well im getting pretty tired." greenleaves walked over to her bedroll, then turned around and trotted back, smirked at lasher, and kissed him playfully "feel free to join me if you want" she went back to the bedroll, took off her saddlebags and got in her sleeping bag, laughing all the while. She was surprised she hadnt woken anypony up.

Lasher's face was burning like fire, the only thing he could think of was following Greenleaves. He laid Cryssi's head gently to the ground. He approached Greenleaves nervous. 

 

"What was that?" Darkeye asked as the bushes started to make more noises and more movement could be seen.

greenleaves watched in surprise as lasher made his way over to her sleeping bag. 

"i didnt think you would actually take me up on my offer. im impressed" she smirked "lets just be careful not to wake up the others"

"That was really good dear, I owe you soo much for taking me out tonight", narrowly falling on my face but Darkeye caught me before I face planted. "Thansks baby, I kneed anotkher one." I said sluggishly. "Bhetter yeht, I kneed to sleep..."

 

Following along in the dark, taking cover in whatever bush or behind whatever tree we could see. "Wow! Moms lost it huh?" "Quiet, we have to get to "bed" before they get home. Pretty sure the captain of the guard is asleep again..." Violet said. "What about my reward Vi?" "Talk to me after we get home without being seen!"

Elegron slowly opened his eyes. he glaced over at his pipbuck. 2AM. he thought about getting up, but realized he was too tired.

"woah. im surrounded by mares. awesome!"  Then he looked over to where greenleaves was, and was about to ask if she was up when... NOPE! going back to bed now! she is definitely awake. yup. sleeping now. sleep is good. goodbye. fortunately he was already pretty out of it, so going back to bed was easy for him.

Darkeye held Rain. "Yeah, let's get you to bed, I think you have had one too many tonight honey" he said chuckling. He looked to one of the bushes. "I swear I saw and heard something. I swear I did. Well, whatever it was, it must have been an animal" he said innocently, although he knew the truth, he was giving the kids a sign that they should hurry home before they get themselves into trouble.

(Next morning 7am)

 

Cryssi snapped awake violently at dot on 7am, he head ached and back a little sore from sleeping on the floor in a bit of a bad position. Making sure not to wake anyone up, she moved past everyone to the barrier and started to dismantle it. A lines of Dragon Tongue and it was gone. A rush of heat and fresh air rushed into the cave, pushing her back a little. Hopefully it did not wake anyone up.

It was a close job but, we made it home. As usual, he was out on the couch watching tv and snuck right by without waking him. When the time came for them to check up on us, we were "sleeping" soundly.

 

"The fhine are faoals babe." I said as I entered our home. Finally waking up, he smiled. "You guys had a good night, or at least she did", laughing quietly at us. "Like I said, they are present and accounted for," showing us them snoring in bed. "I'll be gone now, happy to help at anytime!" Somewhat more coherent now, "I was worried for nothing babe..." Finally collapsing in his arms for the night.

Elegron started to wake up, feeling the warmth of the ponies sleeping with him. he lifted his head off the ground and looked down at the two mares chuckling, before laying back down, not wanting to wake up. he snuggled up with dash before falling asleep again.

a few minutes later, dash woke up. she gently nudged elegron until he woke up again "ok ok im up!" came his slightly muffled responce.

Strawberry lemonade woke up, hearing him. 

All eyes temporarily went to greenleaves sleeping on top of lasher. the three burst out laughing "im not sure why, but i expected that to happen" said elegron.

he thought it would be hilarious if lasher woke up next to him, but he decided a prank like that would get him killed.

Lasher woke up with Greenleaves on top of him. He had heard the others laughing and his face went red, yet again. "Ok, as soon as Greenleaves wakes up and gets up, I'm gonna bash the Stabledweller in the head..... perhaps I bash him with a fish... wait, a fish? Why did I think of a fish?".

Elegron noticed him waking up "hey guys, don't bother him" he said with a smile.

 

Greenleaves started to wake up, and fell off of lasher "ow..." After a while she remembered what happened last night "oh right, good morning lasher" she said in her quiet voice before nuzzling him and snuggling up close to him.

"People of this Cave. Morning to all. How are we this fine morning? I trust you all slept very well." She looked over to Lasher and Greenleaves. "Some of us less so than others. I trust we all have things to do today, so better not linger as time waits for no pony. Adventure awaits us." Zac threw a small stone at Cryssi's head, giving off a annoyed growl before going back to sleep. "I guess some of us aren't ready for yet."

Elegron leapt up "yay adventure!" He waved his hooves in the air. "So where are we going? This reminds me of before I started stable city, not knowing where to go, just going on an adventure.. Sure I was nearly murdered several times, but it was still fun" Elegron picked up his saddlebag. Now that he didn't have plans to attack wps, (they would have peace whether they like it or not) he had time to wonder the wasteland. He was starting to realize just how much time the war had taken from him.

"I am back! Wait, no one can hear me? Ah well, I talked to myself when I was alive yes? Being dead should make it no different." I suddenly noticed Elegron, Lasher as well as some others. "Hmm, this daylight will make it nearly impossible to do anything for now, but I can follow for now yes? Elegron, I will make you pay for causing me no end of grief and misery. Just you wait yes, Tonight I have my fun. Until then, I follow...hehehe."

"Yes. Someone is eager to go and explore. What about the rest of you? The morning is great and the best time to get out and about. Come on everyone. Have some spirit. First, I need to restock my supplies. Does anyone know the location of the nearest town/ city that is not owned or ruled over by the WPS? I'm not too fond of the idea of you all being shot on sight. Any one know?"

 

Zac finally decided to get up. He was not a morning person at all. "Stop being such a downer Zac. You know I love morning." Zac just pulled tongues and hissed at her. He really hated Cryssi in the morning.

"Well stable city is very far away, so we can't go there, but there's a well developed zebra village nearby, so we can head there" Elegron slung an anti material rifle over his shoulder and it vanished into thin air. "I never go anywhere without insurance" he motioned to the invisible rifle.

"Ok. Zebra Village it Is." 'Damnit. I was hoping we would go to Stable City. I still have a job to do.' Cryssi thought to herself, but showed no signs of disappointment on her face. She had to maintain appearance to gain their trust. She puts all of her herbs and alchemy things into he bags and sat atop of Zac, who was now more awake than before. "We're ready when you all are."
