Who would be a better Pokèmon trainer? Fluttershy or Twilight Sparkle?

I think Fluttershy because she is more into training/communicating with animals more than Twilight.

 

 

Plus, Fluttershy has been able to take care of animals we've possibly never seen her look after e.g. Cerberus and an orthros. And furthermore there's this video by ToucanLDM:

Twilight Sparkle, without a doubt. Fluttershy would sit in a corner of her forest and befriend the animals there, while Twilight trains her Pokemon with perfect EV and IV spreads, enters them into tournaments, has regular battles against Rainbow Dash and possibly also Applejack, all that jazz.

Well Fluttershy would give them all the love and care they need. Where as Twilight would care more for results then love and care similar to how she treats Spike.

Fluttershy would be happier as a breeder rather than a fighter. So I guess Twilight.

Just gonna say Twilight. I think she'd have read up on all of the pokemon's strengths and weaknesses by the time she got serious. However, Fluttershy would be the pony I'd want to be my trainer if I were a pokemon. Seriously, who wouldn't want Fluttershy to care for them?

Fluttershy I would see more as a "free the pokemon" type fighting trainers only to free their pokemon and breaking into facilities.

Well they would both be "different" trainers certainly. One of the things that Pokemon shows is how there is no one correct way to raise and train the creatures.

 

Fluttershy would be a good pokemon breeder. She would raise her pokemon with care and attention to their health and happiness. If battling, she wouldn't be the best tactician, but her pokemon would be motivated more personally to perform and would be in far greater health to do so.

 

Meanwhile Twilight would be a more technical trainer. She would exhaustively research her pokemon's stats and abilities and train them as according to specific results she desired. (Much like her spell work.) When battling, Twilight would be a good strategist, playing both her and her opponent's pokemon like chess pieces.

 

So it depends on what you define as "better."

Now here is a question... what pokemon type would each of the Mane Six be when it comes to being a gym leader?

Twilight ~ Dragon - Her main assistant is a dragon, seems like a good enough reason to me

Applejack ~ Ground/Rock - Strength required to hit dem' treez

Fluttershy ~ Grass - Seems fitting with all the flowers and stuff

Rarity ~ Dark - Admit it, Dark types always look the fanciest, at least in the older generations. I don't know any new ones.

Rainbowdash ~ Flying - Self explanatory

Pinkie Pie ~ Psychic - She can break the fourth wall

I could honestly never see Fluttershy as a Pokémon Trainer. Twilight is a better candidate.

I can see Fluttershy more as a nurse in the Pokemon world. She would do what she does best, care for all the injured Pokemon and pamper them till they're nursed back to health She's basically Nurse Joy only way more shy

Probably Twilight. Twilight would be better competitively with researching all the rules. I can imagine Fluttershy being more of a Pokemon breeder since she would not want to see them fighting.

I think Applejack would be the best trainer. Fluttershy wouldn't wan any Pokemon to get hurt, and Twilight would put too much stock into things like HP-ups and other stat boosters. She wouldn't e friendly enough with her Pokemon. (But if she played the video game, I'm sure she'd do well.)

 

The reason I think AJ would be the best if because of a combination of factors:

She's hardworking

She's empathetic

She's used to caring for others (apple bloom)

She's encouraging

She's stubborn (Never give up)

And I feel like she wouldn't push her Pokemon too hard.

These are all great qualities in a Pokemon trainer.

 

Also, you spelled "Pokemon" with an "accent grave" instead of an "accent aigu". I don't know what theyre called in English, but basically, the accent is pointing the wrong way. Try hitting "alt-130" on the number pad. that should give you the right one.

 

I think Fluttershy would be a member of Team Plasma. Some sort of "free the 'mons" activist. T.S. would probably not be able to handle the unpredictable and sporadic nature or Pokemon battles.

Fluttershy -- Normal (as they cover many 'animals' pokemon and are often the cute pokemon)

Rarity -- Ice (Often beautiful, that and ice crystals/gems)

Pinkie Pie -- Fire (... offered because of her energy and passion)

 

Also... the Royal Sister as Champains

Celestia -- Fairy/Psychic

Rainbow Dash would be odd in that she would insist on occasionally fighting pokemon HERSELF as opposed to with one of her pokemon.

 

Oh, one other thing about Fluttershy.  She would go around and TALK to the other pokemon in their own language which could shake the loyalty of pokemon she came across.

As a trainer? Twilight would be more inclined to use techniques that have worked from other trainers, where as Fluttershy would want her Pokémon to be so happy they would ask to battle for her so in that sense Fluttershy would be better HOWEVER I think Fluttershy would be too nervous to send Pokémon into battle, or to challenge other trainers so Twilight would be better in competive sense. This makes me think as a trainer the best would be Twilight. Because what's the point of Fluttershy training them when she couldn't bear to see them fight. Perhaps if they worked together as Twi being the trainer and competes then Fluttershy being in charge of keeping them happy they could be UNSTOPPABLEEE!

Twilight would be the better pokemon trainer because fluttershy would be upset if any animal or creature gets hurt in the battle she would possibly be a pokemon nurse.

Twilight would be the better trainer. Fluttershy would be better as either a pokemon nurse or daycare master. Twilight would learn all she could about them and Fluttershy would best know how to care for them.
