well i know that equestria does not have a standing army  but they do have armed forces like the royal guard and aerial acrobatics and demonstrations teams like the air force. So, they do have a kind forces. so, if you lived in there would  you be in the equestria forces and which one would it be?

 

 

I would be in the  luna royal guard because  I am already a soldier of the night, i like luna, and i like there armor.

Of my four main characters, Pathfinder, Sojourner, and Stargazer would not be in any Equestrian military service as they prefer to be scholars. Pathfinder and Sojourner co-own and run a museum and have a close partnership with the local historical academy and prefer to go on expeditions and adventures rather than join the military. Likewise, Stargazer works in the same museum and has no interest in the military; especially after her experiences with Sombra at the head of the Crystal Empire for a time.

 

My fourth character, Corsair, runs an independent mercenary group and, as such, it's not in his best interests to join the military.

   I think if it was a militia based, defensive force, I think my character Star Australis could participate, whether it is a ground force, at sea or in the air, Star would do his duty to Equestria and its citizens, as far as the Wonderbolts or Guards are concerned, no, my character would prefer to run his business, yet if Equestria needs to be defended, Star Australis would volunteer.

Well I got mine own force call Moonlight honor guards I formed them after changling attack on canterlot wedding they are made up of best ponies from luna,celetia,wonderbolts and crystal guards.

Now if were talking about OC ponys, i have been working a alicorn that was born into a war and is the leader of most of the armed forces of equestria. his name is General shadow and he gave up both his wings and right eye to protect his people (it's the cost he had to pay to put up a permanent magic shield shell around Canterlot).

I don't know why people are mentioning their characters when that wasn't what was asked. Personally, I would not be interested in such a job. I would prefer to do other things that are less stressful than a job of a royal guard.

Technically, Equestria doesn't have any military at all, being that the threats they face (Reality warping gods, planetary satellite controlling deities, curse casting tyrants and magic staling overlords) and the methods used to combat them (Sun gods, Elements/Keys of harmony, power of love) render a military obsolete.

 

All the Royal Guard branches you spoke of are somewhere between trained bodyguards and secret service. The Wonderbolts are a public service in line w/ fire, rescue, EMS, & peacekeeping. So joining any of them wouldn't be a daunting task. 

 

I'd just pick Crystal Guard since nothing ever happens in the Empire.

Considering that the mane 6 seemed to do a better job of fighting off a large number of changlings than the whole of the Canterlot Royal Guard did I'm going to say no. They seem like a paper tiger to me.

 

Besides, If war broke out I would be better suited to guerrilla fighting. WOLVERINES!

I am loyal to Princess Luna of the night myself. If I were to join then my life would be hers. I already think of her every month, week and day/night so my loyalty is sustainable. Also, she seems like a girl I would like, if not as a lover, then a protector. Combat-wise, I'm not sure I could, but maybe I can; I mean it's not liked I killed anyone (if killing is possible in Equestria). I'm more into strategic tactics and reconnaissance, in the shadows of the night like a ninja. I would think Luna would be more harsh than Celestia, thus it would contain the discipline of being a soldier serving her. Both are great rulers though, one cannot exist without the other (even though Tia took on the role of raising both sun and moon). It just wouldn't be a Lunar force without Princess Luna.

for me i would have a hard time pick. I vote for luna but i don't know.  I could not be a  wonderbolt cuase there jocks and i don't like how the act to each other and other poines. I rise military  and i always live the code Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten!  luna royal guard I like the night and luna  and i would like to help her be a better rule and be loved by all but she seem to be more harsh than Celestia or the other so maybe not.

 

the celestia royal guard  the same thing to. her people seem to have a lot of discipline like the UK Queen's Life Guard and i am not that discipline. I am more of a US ranger/special forces or a private military contractor.

 

So, that leave the  Crystal Empire royal guard which it seem i would be. princess cadance  seem to be nice to her guard and very fun person to work for. the Crystal Empire need ponies that will stand and fight  and have had battle/combat time already(i have some)  and shining armor was in the royal guard already so he knows what it is. If you ever had a officer that has not been and combat or seen some of the stuff lower ranks have seen then that give you a lot of bad moves when it get real.  also the Crystal Empire royal guard seem to be real soliders.

 

so sign the swordsman up for the Crystal Empire royal guard. A samurai duty is to serve his master and i will  serve them well,  I will be there guardian and protector of there dream of the Crystal Empire .

Personally its a conflicting question for me, on one hand I got a soft easy going nature about me I care for the little things, I draw because I find it peaceful and take walks in the forest to admire its beauty. But another side in me has a sense of pride and duty, to give back to my country that has given so much to me. Would I out right join because of that I don't know its 50/50 though if there were a threat or attack then of course I would step up and do my part but every year I get older that certainty diminishes ever so slightly.

 

P.S Luna Royal Guards is what I feel suits me.

If I was a pony, I could be in the Equestria forces. But I can't decide in which one. i think that, it would be wonderbolts or Luna royal guard. however, the best would be wonderbolts, because the other pony more respect the wonderbolts than royal guard. also, the royal guard have to pull the royal carriage- and i think that it's boooring.
