It's like it makes their entire message useless. I know that sounds kind of extreme, but so does not knowing the difference between your and you're. I love theoatmeal's comics on grammar. My biggest pet peeve is when you're, your, their, their, and there are used incorrectly. I often wonder if they even tried passing grade school. My ex-best friend got "i do wat i want" tattooed across her chest in size 800 font. Notice the prefix "ex".
