Random and Weird experiences you've had in real life

I'm not sure if there is an actual thread or topic or whatever for this already, but... I figured I'd star this one just in case. I've had a few odd experiences, after all. ^-^

 

 

Let's see, some rules...

 

1. Keep it Safe for Work.

 

And that's all I can think of right now..

 

 

Think of this as a place to share and comment on odd experiences you and/or others have had. 

 

I'll start....

 

 

Once when I was still in middle school, I was walking home from... The library I think? Anyways, I was walking home sometime around 6-8 PM when a car pulled up next to me on the road. The End. Odd, right? 

 

Just kidding, that's not the end.

 

After the car pulled up I was then offered a ride by the occupants, which was a group of clearly drunk girls... Yep that's not something I ever expected to happen, let alone in middle school. And yet... Not even close to the oddest thing that's happened to me, in my opinion.

I've had a few weird experiences, myself.  

 

 

One time I was working the night shift at Disney's Polynesian Resort, and I had a pargo (aka, golfcart, but for work purposes), and was driving around making sure all the towels were stocked, and the trash bins weren't full. 

 

This guy stops me and asks me to give him a ride and help him find his building. I let him get in, since we were allowed to do so in that circumstance, and the resort has winding pathways that make it REALLY hard to find buildings. 

 

So hard, in fact, that I couldn't find his building either. 

 

So we're driving around the pathways, and he's bumping into me, and rambling on saying things like, "heh, this is cool. Neither of us know where we're going. It's like we're on an adventure." 

 

At this point I made the connection that he was drunk. 

 

I hadn't really ever dealt with a drunk person before, so I just kept driving and ignored it. We finally found his building, and he got off and thanked me for the help. Then he stopped, turned around, and asked me if I wanted to come up to his room. 

 

I paused, caught off guard by the question. I stammered out an, "I have work things to do, sorry, I don't have the time." But he kept insisting, saying no one would find out, and it wouldn't be very long, and that it'd be fun. 

 

Obviously I wanted nothing to do with this, but again, I'd never dealt with a drunk person before, so I just kept awkwardly giving out random reasons why I couldn't until he finally (and suddenly) stopped, said goodbye and headed into the building. 

 

 

 

 

 

Another time I gave someone a ride in the parking lot, and apparently he wasn't supposed to be there (they don't let people who aren't staying there in on busy days), because he asked me to drop him off at the back of the parking lot. I did (because I thought maybe he was a cast member too. I mean, the pathway to the cast member parking lot was over there). 

But no, he was just a guest who was misbehaving. He stuck a ten dollar bill in my hand (which I tried to give back, but he wouldn't take it), thanked me very sincerely, and left. 

A lot of guests try to get in to see the place, so I wasn't worried about why he was there. But I did get kinda nervous for accidentally smuggling a person out of the hotel.

I've always found heath class disguising. I don't like think of surgery or the inside of the human body.

 

So one day in heath class my vision started getting blurry and I felt Sick. Thought getting some fresh air would help me out. So I went got up and asked if the teacher if I could go to the bathroom, He says yes, I take one step forward to leave the room and I drop like a sack of bricks And wake up probably 20 seconds later being dragged out the room...

Oh boy, I got a good'un...

Now, this was probably about a year, maybe a year and a half ago. I was up at work (the DMV) and it was closing time. I went up to the front of the building to lock the door and I saw a white Ford Econoline van with a small cargo trailer pull into the parking lot and park in the middle of it. Yeah, not in a space or anything, right in the middle. Now I usually stand at the door after I lock it since we usually still have customers in the building after close and it's stupid to keep walking between your desk and the door to let people out. So as I'm standing there I'm watching this van 'cause I think it looks pretty suspicious, especially with the whole rollin' up at closing time business. As I'm watching this van, the passenger-side doors open and out come two... *ahem* ... I guess "little people" is the politically correct term... Anyway, out pops two midgets. I'm a little confused at this point, but I just kinda brush it off for the time being. We get all the people out of the building and I head out to my truck. As walk past the van, I see that there are now four little people standing around it. I get to my truck and start heading out of the lot. As I do I pass the van again, where five midgets are now congregated around a sixth wearing a pinstriped suit and fedora. At this point, I was sure we were about to get shaken down by the mini-mafia, but the icing on the cake didn't come until just as I was pulling out of the lot when I looked around the back of the building and saw two more of them smoking, and I can assure you it was not a cigarette...

Often times I wake up in the middle of the night and have a snack.  One night I fell asleep while eating a chocolate donut.  When I woke up in the morning, I didn't remember the donut and it took me about 5 minutes to piece together why I was covered in brown.

I have a weird life...

I was riding in the car down an expressway. We drove by a purple teletubby standing in front of Bank of America waving at cars   The only thing that made sense about this is that it was Halloween....

 

Oh, and here's what I saw on Christmas Eve in front of the mall

I was driving on the highway with my mother we were heading to the mall. We were stopped at a light next to a Culvers and wearing an ice cream cone mascot suit was waving a sign for advertisement. I rolled down the window and waved, and he flipped me the bird and continued like nothing happened. I was laughing the rest of the way to the mall and my mother didn't know why.

 

And sitting on a stair case at my high school finishing some homework for morning classes. And my friend is two above me, I wave and turn away to get some pencils from my bag for a second and turn around and he is sitting next to me ! I backed away and was a little freaked out. He didn't even make any noise coming down, but how did he so fast?? If he jumped he would have made noise.

Not necessarily, it depends on the height of the fall as well as the athleticism and/or skill of the person jumping. You'd be surprised at how far you can fall without so much as a thud...

 

(Though that does seem like it would be slightly freaky... )
