Have Your OC Featured in a Fanfic!

I will soon begin writing a fanfiction that I've had the idea for bouncing around in my head for a while, and part of this fanfic will involve throwing in a lot of random characters (though this project is being kept secret for now, so I can't say more than that). I realized that, rather than just randomly selecting a bunch of ponies to toss in, I could bring some smiles to the faces of my fellow forumers by using their OCs instead (and save myself some time and effort...)

 

Be aware that, by submitting your character, you are agreeing to these conditions

 

1. You are allowing me to use your character in this one creative work (obviously) which will be submitted to the current Poniverse fanfiction contest
2. Your character will be depicted having romantic feelings towards a mare (it'll make sense when you read the story, I promise). If that conflicts with how you want your OC's sexuality depicted, then don't submit it
3. Your character will be described as living in Ponyville, so if for whatever reason that's a problem, don't submit it
4. Aspects of your character may be altered to make it fit properly into MLP show canon. For example, if you submit an alicorn, I won't use it unless I can make it another pony type
5. Your character will only have a brief appearance, if any, and I will choose what characters to use where completely at my own discretion

Are we good? Awesome, then submit your character and I will let you know after the story is completed whether or not your character was chosen to appear in it.

 

Important Added Note - After further consideration of where this story is going, I came up with the idea to have a little "matchmaking" fun at the end. This will mean a second cameo for those who are OK with it, but if you don't want your character paired up with anypony, or you have any reservations as to who your pony might be matched with, let me know.

 

Characters will be considered acceptable for any sort of "pairing" unless I am told otherwise

 

Extra Also-Added Note (last one I promise) - I could also use cover art for this story. If anyone who wants me to use their OC can make something I could use for it, and you wouldn't mind doing so, please PM me.

Blaze found her special talent for fire magic when she was young and has used it for forging and good uses ever since. She is quite hyper and loves to play around and hopes one day to become a member of the royal gaurd and aid in making the armour etc.

Starlight is a Pegasus that has a severe need for speed (personality is a bit like rainbow dash but will less of a large ego) but he tends to be quite shy and reserved at first. Not showing his true self to others until he knows them well enough. But after that point he really opens up and talks a lot. He hopes to join the wonderbolts in the future but due to his shy nature he has held himself back from joining the academy. Despite efforts from his friends to help him along.

My OC's name is Flare, but ponies call him Prince Flare. He's sixteen years old, he is a male and his personality is pretty simple. He's extremely passionate, he puts everypony he loves before himself and if you are his friend he'll defend you til his last breath. But if you make him angry, he'll be really angry. He'll be borderline crazy with anger.

My OC Meadow Leaf and everything you need to know about him is in my profile.

But if it is too long then here is the shortened down version:

Meadow Leaf is a compassionate young stallion filled with a lot of hope and desire to improve himself and his craft.

He is fascinated by the world around him and enjoys spending his time star gazing, reading poetry, practicing Tai Chi as well as painting and working on art. He is know to get immersed in his art quite frequently leading him to forget about the world for bit (not literally of course) Also he is easily flustered and embarrassed. He can also be considered to be a little clumsy as well but not when he is doing his art as he takes great care and precision in it.
Meadow Leaf deals with some social anxiety and thus doesn't handle large social events like parties and their loud noises very well and there are still some social ques that he needs to keep working on and has been for years.
He is an optimistic sort of fellow and a little bit naive and gullible but definitely has a lot of heart.
Meadow Leaf moved to Ponyville from Manehatten a few months ago and is still getting used to everything.

His special talent is working with herbs and medicinal plants and he currently works at the Ponyville pharmacy.

So yeah, Comet Glider is a bit of a cocky pegasus around friends and tends to show off a bit, but can be shy with those he doesn't know, remaining quieter in crowds. He is quite unique as he has no cutie mark; he believes in the philosophy that having no cutie mark gives him the freedom to be whatever he wants to be

Name: Willow Wisp
Age: 24

Gender: Male
Race: Unicorn
Appearance: Willow is a slender, underweight stallion of average height. He has a brown-dark brown mane and tail that he keeps cut short but rarely combs. He has navy blue eyes, and his coat is the dark green of moss, and his cutie mark is a long style lantern with a burning candle in it.
Personality: Willow is a quiet, well meaning stallion from a lower income family. He tends to be withdrawn and tight lipped, preferring to think rather than to speak. He lacks confidence, largely due to his weak magic, and from the pestering from his brothers about his meager profession. Although introverted, Willow is a realist, and tries to offer aide to those he feels won't just take his help for granted. He dreams of someday becoming magically strong enough to attend a magic school, illusion spells especially fascinate him.
Backstory: Willow comes from a mixed family, his father being a unicorn (Silverheart) and mother an Earth Pony (Duststorm). Due to this he grew up amid a more down to earth family than most Unicorns tend to have. His life in the lower part of Manehatten wasn't always wonderful, but he considers his childhood a happy one. His older brothers (both earth ponies, Redcap & Pinecone) tended to pick on him for being smaller and weaker.
It was when Willow got a job helping the lamplighters of Manehatten that he found he liked chasing the darkness of the night out of the city streets that he earned his cutie mark. His brothers teased him, saying that he was doomed to have a mediocre job for the rest of his life. Willow snapped at them, finally telling his brothers off before moving to Canterlot.

Thanks to some kind neighbors, friends he had made in school, Willow currently lives in a small apartment that had been remodeled after an incident involving a grease fire. Willow now works as a lamplighter, still saving every bit he can so he can attend a good magic school, while trying to be a good pony.

 

Special Talent: Willow's cutie mark is an iron lamp with a lit candle inside. It represents both talent for light spells, as well as his love of lanterns and candles. While not a talented magician, he can produce light spells which help him unerringly find his way in the dark.
Other skills: He's a very good listener, and knows the streets of Canterlot and Manehatten very well. His biggest talents are always light spells, ranging from lighting candles to producing bright flashes of blinding light. His twice daily trek around the city keeps him fit, and for a unicorn he's considered physically fit, but magically he's puny and doesn't know many other spells.
Odd things: His preferred holiday is Nightmare night, although he is kind of a wimp about being scared. Sometimes falls prey to depression due to overthinking his lot in life. Has poor self image and doesn't think any mare would be interested in him, so he doesn't even attempt to hit on girls. Could spend all day cracking and eating nuts. Willow also prefers to use his hooves and mouth rather than use magic to manipulate things. He has quiet disgust for Sapphire Shores' music, and tries to leave when he hears it.

As for this, I can at least explain a bit about this. Characters will not be shown as being "madly in love", rather they will range from interested to infatuated, and the cameos will be very minor and will likely vary a bit in length from pony to pony. Depictions of your character will likely be a bit silly, but that's part of the fun, if you ask me.
