gaming what's an awesome game you would recommend?

Portal and Portal 2. ESPECIALLY PORTAL 2 OMG.

Earthbound and Mother 3, while I wouldn't usually suggest piracy, Mother 3 has never been officially translated, and Earthbound is like $150 for the original cartridge, and most people don't have a Wii U so they can't get it on VC. Anyway, these 2 are my favorite games ever, no exaggeration there. They're both RPGs with very unique gameplay and storytelling, with personality that still holds up after 20 years.

Metroid Prime trilogy, the only FPS I have ever liked.

Legend of Zelda, I'm gonna specifically suggest Wind Waker, Link to the Past, Link Between Worlds, and Majora's Mask.

If you like Pokemon or you like dungeon crawlers, then Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is the way to go.

Also Dust: An Elysian Tale and Braid are really good.

Master of Magic - This game is beyond awesome, just get it.  www.gog.com  Go there, purchase Master of Magic.  Be happy.

Master of Orion 2 - Ever wanted to conquer the known galaxy, using everything from space fighters to planet destroying death stars to mind controlling to population of entire planets?  This is the game for you.

Deus Ex/Deus Ex Human Revolution - Awesome FPS/RPGs.  I'd rate the original slightly higher than the sequel.  And we will not speak of Invisible War.

Baldur's Gate 2 - Often considered the best RPG of all time, and is deserving of the title.  Numerous similarities to Dragon Age, but this game puts Dragon Age to shame.

Civilization 5 - The civilization series in general is just plain awesome, and this is probably the best of them.

System Shock 2 - The predecessor to Bioshock.  It looks ugly, but has the best gameplay of the bunch.  Definitely worth your time.

Ultima 4-7 - Just plain good RPGs, if you like RPGs and haven't tried these, your really doing yourself a disservice.

Final Fantasy 6 - If you want to know what the whole Final Fantasy thing is about, this is far and away the best of the bunch.  The only downside is none of the other Final Fantasy titles ever quite measure up after you play through this game.

The Metro series...more specifically Metro Last Light. Absolutely incredible game with beautiful graphics, a captivating story and world alongside solid gameplay mechanics. Also the developer 4A games is a pretty small company (pretty much unheard of) so really deserve even more credit for making such an amazing game  :D Especially considering the season pass for the game is £10 (which gives you like, 4 DLC's  )

Xenoblade. It's rare and costly but VERY worth your while if you like RPGs. One of my favorites of all time.

The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask is a classic favorite of mine too.

And the first 2 Paper Mario games. I like the whole series ( and Super Paper Mario had a great story, ) but those 2 are the cream of the crop.

Everypony says "Not as good as Alpha Centauri!" Guess what? Didn't play that, don't care. This game kicks ass!

Its not as good as Alpha Centauri, or even Civilization V for that matter.  Its got a lot of good ideas, but very poor execution, and simply gets far too micro heavy later on (too many trade routes, too many redundant buildings, etc.).

Most of what I would recommend has already been mentioned, like the first two Paper Mario games, Shovel Knight and Mass Effect.

If you're a fan of Visual Novels like Phoenix Wright, then I would highly recommend 999: 9 Persons, 9 Hours 9 Doors and Virtue's Last Reward, both members of the Zero Escape "trilogy". As I said, these are visual novels so they are wordy, but the stories of these two must be experienced to be believed.

A fun little "artsy" game you might want to check out would be Puppeteer, a game set as a stage play where you use a pair of magical scissors to literally cut through the scenery.

ALPHA PROTOCOL

Sorry, wanted to make sure it was seen but it is literally the most underrated game. It's a really fun and pretty in-depth modern espionage RPG...the only one of its kind. It has some issues with a low budget but the gameplay more than makes up for it. Damn good game. I picked it up for £2 from my local Grainger Games.

All the halo games, bioshock, system shock, fallout 3, SKYRIM, morrowind, residents evil hd, resident evil 2 3 and 4, and code Veronica, gears of war 1-3, metal gear solid, mass effect, Garry's mod, modern warfare franchise, advanced warfare, csgo, ocarina of time and majoras mask. I'll add more if I can be bothered. And sorry if this is a clusterfuck xD

Its a good game, but I really wouldn't call it the only one of its kind.  There isn't anything this game can deliver that any of the Deus Ex games can't, or that Infamous can't for that matter.

One of its kind in the sense that it is the only modern day espionage rpg.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Alien: Isolation, The Last of Us, Crysis 2, Crysis 3 and Dragon Age: Origins. Off the top of my head, that's all I can think of. Oh, and Darksiders II. And Beyond: Two Souls and Diablo III. There we go.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT I MISSED ZELDA! Well, Ocarina of Time and Phantom Hourglass anyway.
