ummm well i dont really watch the show anymore. havent since s3 but i still like making friends with bronies. i dont consider myself a brony or a part of the fandom but i find it easy to befriend bronies so

I am, in fact at my time of joining these forums I hadn't even seen an episode. When I did finally watch the show I was impressed by the music and characters, however I found the episodes to be boring, formula, and not interesting to me any further than an occasional chuckle. I'd explain my presence here to be solely for the fan creations that caught my interest so early one, and my many brony friends of course.

No way!  I don't remember the last time I watched anything but MLP of my own accord. I know that sounds a bit excessive, but I rarely feel like watching much else.  Though, I think I am going to start cutting down a bit, and watch some other things too so as to not get tired of it(pfft, like that would ever happen, but just in case).  Speaking of which, I think I am gonna pull up some Walking Dead right now.

I'm here mainly for fanworks. The show's pretty good but it's not what keeps me coming back to it either. Original music (none of that Avast Fluttershy remix shit) and art not done in the style of the show can be really amazing.

 

Plus Ponies Anthology. It's what got me into MLP in the first place and it's still the one thing I look forward to most every year. I can't wait for Anthology V.

 

And maybe one of these days I'll get Fighting is Magic cuz it always looked amazing even if they've had to make changes thanks to copyright stuff. Though I heard they didn't actually change anything or you can get your hands on the original version or something.

I'm here for both but the main reason I'm here is the fandom. If the fandom didn't exist I wouldn't even know what MLP:FIM is, but if I never watched any episodes I would not have been interested in fan created art for as long I have been now.(It's coming up to 1 year soon.) I do find that I like the episodes that I have seen of MLP:FIM better than most things created by fans and I would still like the show if none of the fandom had ever existed.(As long as something or someone else got me into watching the show instead of the fandom.)

To be honest, Yes. I enjoy the fandom, and the people in it more than I enjoy the show itself. I just could never get into the show all that much, but I do enjoy watching it at times. I feel as though the fan base, and creativity inside the fandom is amazing; and is just worth more than the show. But that's just my opinion.

im accually here for the show and fandom (I met a lot of great friends through mlp forums...(and some others)) , I watch the show a bunch... mostly my favourites (and... appearently I haven't watched all the episodes of season 4 yet...
