How to Deal with Starlight Glimmer?

I know, just would like to see a villain be gone for good instead of getting a slap on the hoof. I mean Tirek almost killed tons of ponies and destroyed Equestria, and what does he get, imprisonment in some crappy cage to only escape again lol. I know its a kids show but you know its sometimes fun to imagine really taking care of villains.

 

Well Discord was turned to stone, so there is at least one thing.

I see Starlight as someone that is incredibly unstable due to some kind of grudge or hatred. She seems like a character who's greatest weakness is herself, she just doesn't realize it. Making her realize that she is her worst enemy can convince her to go on the right path. This to me would be the best 'weapon' against her, self realization. That would be a wonderful change of pace. No insane battle, no extreme conflict between two characters, but a conflict with just one, her having a conflict with herself. Like an inner battle. A way to explore the concept of self hatred, as dark as that can be.

Starlight Glimmer is my favorite Villain in the show imagine the amount of damage she could do if she gained access to the Amulet Trixie found she would be unstoppable!

It's quite obvious that she'll be reformed (more or less) in the end, she takes center stage in the Season 5 poster, has a toy in the new Explore Equestria line, and she follows the reformation pattern (I can explain if needed). Following the Season 5 trend, I think she'll be the one to fix the problem at the end of the episode. Only she can undo her own spell, this is why the synopsis says the Mane 6 are struggling to fix things. She can only be defeated when she defeats herself.

I think Starlight's only enemy is herself and when she finally sees the light much like Sunset did, she'll realize how important friendship is.

Highly doubt that. I believe both we and Starlight will get closure.

 

But if it does end with a cliffhanger....I'm going to stuff myself with ice cream and bingewatch Kim Possible and The Suite Life and Zack and Cody while complaining about how much I missed London Tipton

So you are gonna stop watching MLP if that happens? But I also doubt that Starlight will win,it may ruin the WHOLE Generation 4. But if it ends with a cliffhanger, I guess it is a sign that Starlight wins... D:

No I'll be watching other shows because by then, MLP will be over and there would nothing else to watch unless I rewatch some episodes. I'll be wasting time while waiting for the next season so I won't lose my.mind trying to wait to see what happens after a cliffhanger. Though I'm sure there wouldn't be one.

I will stop watching it too. Equestria will become a battlefield involved by Nightmare Moon. So I think the writers better not to let Starlight Win!

After Sunset's portrayal in Rainbow Rocks in contrast to... that... from the original EQG, my faith in the writers' ability to invoke the "Author's Saving Throw" trope was more or less cemented.

 

So basically, it's still possible for them to "un-kill" it for you.

Its funny. I only ever saw the first EG movie and to be honest, Sunset didn't worry me as much. They should have kicked Josh Haber to the curb. Diamond Tiara's 'redemption' was so much better. There was a lot I didn't like about season 5 but I don't want to go on about it. Starlight Glimmer was the last straw for me. 

 

I'm not fussed. I will just focus on something else.
