Why a mostly male fandom? It's not like this fandom's mostly male (contrary to the beliefs of some), and honestly I'd prefer it if gendered fandoms just poofed out of existence all together.

As for which I'd like to see develop a large adult fan base, I couldn't say. Nothing in its current condition, but if something actually good could come out of MLP then I'd think it could come out of anything.

Littlest Pet Shop is good but I would really prefer no girls show come up with a male fandom, that's like saying the brony fandom is good, which it's not.

I mean, there's no problem with males liking a little girl's show like MLP or anything else, but assigning genders to a fandom just seems unnecessary imo...then again so is coming up with the name brony and pegasister x)

Steven Universe for sure! Tons of figurines and maybe even replicas of the gems' weapons! I want a Rose Quartz figure haha!

MLP is not a 'mostly male' fandom. The 'Brony' part of the overall MLP fandom is still very small. =/

And I'd rather not see any more 'Brony' phenomenons occur. Guys liking things for girls? Yes, that is fine... And guys should be secure enough in themselves to be able to do so... But also should be able to do so without having to create a masculine fandom title, saying that the show is "now gender-neutral"/"not for girls anymore", and then adding all of the other ...baggage on top. =/

I honerswtly can't say, since I never expexted that ponies would be such a hit. Being a brony wrecks old gender steryotypes on a level I have never seen before, too. And who the heck knew that what was supposed to be a little girls show could possibly be so pivotal in my own mental health?! MLP:FiM has helped me more than any therapist I've ever been to. (Then again, I was a little s--t back then, maybe I'm just growing up)

I voted for Littlest Pet Shop and Hello Kitty. I like LPS and I've always hoped it would generate a large teenager/adult following akin to bronies but it didn't happen and I have to admit, I'm a bit of a fan of that little white feline. She's just so cute.

I don't see anything as potentially gender-neutral-percieved as MLP, so, yeah. Maybe LPS?

And in Japan, Hello Kitty is considered pretty gender-neutral. Lucky japan.

To comment upon what others have said, I don't like the idea of mostly male fandoms, but it would be nice to see more male fans of Hello Kitty simply because she's almost universally perceived as the definition of "girliness". According to society, boys aren't supposed to like Hello Kitty. It's a girls thing, but why is that? Are boys not supposed to like cute things? That's what I like about the brony fandom. Yeah, some guys give it a bad name, but it almost makes it socially acceptable to for males to like MLP. If only Hello Kitty had the same level of acceptance. Even if it did, however, I think a gender-neutral fandom would be better because that would project the idea that Hello Kitty is for anyone. (which she should be) If it were mostly male, it may take on a more deviant perception by those outside of the fandom, as has happened with bronies.

Also, there's something that I think separates Hello Kitty from the other toy lines mentioned in this thread and that's the fact that it's already considered normal for adult women to like her and thus, she already has a bit of a fandom. It just needs more males to balance it out. I just doubt that it will ever happen because for one thing, she's just an image, a face. There are figures and toys made in her likeness but she has very little established personality and background and though she does have a show, it's not very well known and, in my opinion, it's not very good. It would need a serious reboot to gain any kind of substantial male following.

Monster high!

I've had kids tell me I look like a monster high doll :)

Best compliment ever!

Oh yeah! That reminds me, I like Ever After High too, both for how nice the dolls look and the fantasy aspect. The fact that they're based on various fairy tales just really appeals to me for some reason. I'm not personally a fan of Monster High because I don't like creepy things but I do love how detailed and fashionable they are. I know that there are male fans of both franchises (one of them happens to be one of my favourite YouTubers) but they are predominantly seen as girls toys so it would be nice to see more male fans.

First, I would say Littlest Pet Shop because its TV show in the same channel and has a similar cast as MLP. Secondly, I would say Hello Kitty because it's popular and I personally don't think it's that girly.

Also, Would you join a fandom which revolved around another girls toy?

It depends on if it's appealing or not.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I am ahead of the curve here. I already like Kitty. I've even had my picture taken in front of the largest Kitty statue in Japan. That was before I started watching FiM.

Why does it have to be a mostly male fandom? Why can't it just be a big fandom, and who cares what the gender balance is? D:

And why base it off of a girls toy? Why can't you list shows like Stephen Universe? Just good shows, with a wide target audience, decent messages/lessons, and some solid feels? :c

Anyway, Littlest Pet Shop, because it feels the most similar to MLP. But, if I go off-book, Stephen Universe would be my next fandom, if I ever lost love for ponies. :muffins:
