Would you have ever thought that, by the end of the first movie? Personally, i don't like EG as much as the main series pf MLP:FIM, because no ponies. But Sunset Shimmer is what makes the movie worth watching 9though I really want her to return to Equestria, by the end of the third movie) Speaking of the third movie- it's titled "Friendship Games", and from the hints from show staff, it'll be involving motocross sports and archery, rollerblading, with CHS against a rival school called Crystal Prep Academy, where they face off against the ShadowBolts. And some of the new characters we'll be seeing are Sour Sweet, Sunny Flare, Sugar Coat, Lemon Zest, and human Twilight Sparkle (who becomes "Midnight Sparkle") at the end of the movie. I'm just looking forward to more Sunset Shimmer, for now. I don't know what to think about this Midnight Sparkle thing but I'm sure we could have a little more of an idea after Season 5 of the main series ends. simba86 1,541 April 11, 2015 Share April 11, 2015 might be cool to see midnight sparkle, maybe an evil version of twilight? that would be cool, I liked the other 2 movies so i see no reason why i won't like this one, I'll be starved for pony anyway because they will probably release it a month or 2 after the regular season ends like they did the last one and it will be all the pony we get until season 6 "which we can only hope won't be a year long hiatus like season 5 was" but i think it will be an interesting movie, be nice to see how they advance the now redeemed sunset shimmer to 1 It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees! I think they're on the right track with the EG movies and I have some expectations this time around, however though I think this should be the last EG movie, I feel they need to focus on creating the 2017 actual pony movie, not to mention I also don't like it when a film series goes beyond a trilogy. 2 No matter how hard I try these ponies will simply never leave me. I find them enjoyable but still they feel average and kind of pandering in a way to pre-teen girls. However I still think they're better than G3. I actually thought Rainbow Rocks was a lot better than the 1st EG. I actually feel FiM is much more immersive just because of Equestria Girls. But anyway I wasn't surprised when they announced a 3rd EG film. It seems like a popular spin off and Hasbro's best way to compete with Mattel. I feel this could have a similar plot to Equestria Games. Also the designs on the poster must be just promo material, I've seen that a lot. Considering an actual pony movie comes in 2017, I'm expecting another EG next year. Even though Friendship Games might not be one of my favorite films I'm still looking forward to it. I rather enjoy the concept of the alternate universe, I mean yea, the first movie wasn't as good as the sequel with the characters being pretty static, but the second movie Twilight took a back seat and let Sunset Shimmer actually kind of take the reins. If the rumors turn out to be true I'll be pretty hyped for the movie. PS: don't worry so much about the designs shown here, the art for the toys is always ten times worse than what we see in the movies. Remember this?
