catnet 9,358 April 19, 2015 Share April 19, 2015 I'd prefer if we never see them get their cutie marks, though if we did, I'd like if somehow they used their talents to do something like create other Cutie Mark Crusaders Clubhouses across Equestria, so that even if they're no longer CMCs, they can help other blank flanks explore all that can be done and discover what their talents are. Discordian 6,015 April 19, 2015 Share April 19, 2015 There's going to be a point when they run out of gags and storylines and if they keep going with it they'll end up making the three of them looking like idiots rather than misguided youths. Even if the main CMC get their cutie marks there's other characters they could expand the CMC misadventures into. At that point, however, the main ones will have already run through all the jokes and important stories of growth. It would be a better idea to finish the CMC "story arc" quickly and move on to something else as a side- or backup story. Not only does it wrap up an arc that that been going on since the first Season, but it also gives even more potential for these three characters, rather than the same old boring cutie mark stories. If MLP:FiM ended off with the CMC getting no cutie marks, then their conclusion would feel empty and unsatisfying. I hope they'll be getting their cutie marks in this Season as well. takai 1,060 April 19, 2015 Share April 19, 2015 (edited) I have two theories. One is that they'll get them in the final season. Reason being is because the CMC's add variety to the show's episodes. My second is that they will, and the episodes will turn into them practicing or learning how to fully utilize their new found talents. I think we're too far into the show with all the story and character development to NOT see them at this point. But to answer your question, yes, I would like to see them eventually get them. However, they are always trying new things just in case they turn out to be good at and that means that they could get their cutie-mark anyday. All they have to do is find out what they're good at and they'll get the mark. Like if Sweetie Bell finally realizes she's good at singing. I want to see what they do after they get their marks, how it affects their friendship, what new adventures they have. There's plenty of potential for that story, it's not like they'll cease to exist once they get their marks or anything. Plus, I hate it when finales do that. Michelle Creber was 9 or 10 when she started as Scootaloo and she is turning 16 this year. Sweetie Belle dosen't have her squeaky voice anymore and i feel like everytime she tries it, it sounds forced. Let them get their cutie marks and (i know i will get alot of heat for this) write them out of the show. Season five is supposed to have a very defined theme focusing on the magic of cutie marks from what I've been able to gather, so them getting theirs would fit that theme, and I would be surprised if Bloom and Gloom wasn't specifically written to ease both the characters and the audience into the idea of the CMC becoming something different as they grow up, and if they're easing everyone into that now then it probably won't be long before they start getting their cutie marks. 2 My Equestrian Empire Characters Fluttershy - Eloquence - Chamomile - Ginseng - Lovestruck Ask Me Questions!
