I picked it up and it was pretty good.

 

Nice little story on the 2 stuck up brats. 

 

Prancy Drew was pretty interesting.

 

Not a bad character.

 

Worth picking up.

 

Cant wait fer the next FF Issue.

I almost forgot i had this at first, it had been sitting in my system for about a week or so so i finally read it this morning and WOW... That was one of the better comics to come out.

 

Quick notes:

 

Prancy Drew... (head smack)

 

Actually she more reminded me of Velma from Scooby Doo but i liked her could be just the orange sweater though

 

Anyone else notice these:

 

Three stooges ponies

Sailor scout ponies

Power Puff ponies

There was a forth set in front of the CMC but i couldnt figgure out who they were

 

Princess of dorks is just as awesome as ever

 

Oh my sweet Celestia, if we can just get Silver Spoon away from Diamond Tiara long enough, she might become a decent pony

 

Diamond Tiara, man that girls so spoiled, salt couldnt save her.

Overall i really liked this one, and it has one of the better art styles imho so i really hope to see more like this

I read this issue earlier today, and I gotta say, I'm not a fan of this one.  Normally, I love stories told from the "villain" point of view.  You get some look into them and maybe see some redeeming quality, or some reason why they are the way they are.

 

Having read this, I've come to the conclusion that Diamond Tiara is a brat (I don't feel like swearing a whole bunch in this post, so that's the best you'll get), simply because she enjoys being a brat and causing trouble for others.  Her father showers her with attention, and not just money and material posessions, but seems to really care about her, so its not like she's coming from an abusive home.  I just wish she had some motivation for being the evil little brat she is, rather than just being a bully for the sake of being a bully.

Prancy Drew was so cute. 

And I loved Twilight geeking on her. Of course it would have been disappointing if she HADN'T. I was completely expecting it.

Was actually going to write a small rant on how this comic assassinated DT's character (and it did!), but instead, i'm looking at one of the few good things we may have got out of this. We now know at least have a motivation for Diamond Tiara's attitude towards the CMC, which is insane jealousy, enough to the point to where she'd throw away all of her sensibilities and literally leave a pony in the dust if it meant she'd have one over on them. Tying into the show itself, this would also explain why she keeps coming back to pick fights with them when any sensible pony would have given up and went home a long time ago; she quite possibly can't help herself. Not an excuse by any means, but still interesting to consider, and I think it would really do someone well to have a talk with Luna...

Yeah, that disappointed me, too. But honestly, the comics in general have alot of trouble with characterization these days, even with the likes of the Mane Six. I think poor writing and poor execution is one of the reasons the TV crew doesn't consider the comics canon - see how in the comics Discord was an Honorary Cutie Mark Crusader, but in the show the Cutie Mark Crusaders had never met him before and hated his guts.

While it's by far not the best of the FF series, it's definitely enjoyable. Granted there wasn't much in the way of character development, but seeing things from the perspective of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon is actually somewhat refreshing; and the interaction between Spoon and Prancy was so adorable. <3

 

In any case I think it's definitely worth a read.

I'm just wondering, if Hasbro was aware what pony costume that was. I don't think many bronies know Sappho. OK, after that interview in the carity section, some do.

Bunny Tsukido, Ami Mitsuno und Makoto Kino as Ponies is awesome.

 

However, there are a few not so good details. How can a Windmill rotate if their blades have no fabric on? That won't work.

Sweetie Belle can use her horn to levitate several letters at once. Even it's not a key scene, it was a surprise for me. She progress well.
