What is the best tank ever designed in your opinion?

Call me a patriot but the Swedish Stridsvagn 122 is by far the best one among the heavies. (in my opinion)

as much as I love the T-34 I would have to go with the M1 Abrams.... nothing is better than an Abrams.... I watched a documentary on the strongest tanks in the world as a kid and Abrams made it to number 1... as of now I don't know if its still the strongest but its still my favorite

The #1 tank in the world is either the British Challenger II or the Germany MBT (Don't know it's name). Abrams I think ranks 3rd.

The soviet T-34 was the best tank in my opinion. That tank was one of the reasons why the soviets were able to defeat Germany in WW2 because when German tank crews first saw that tank, they had no idea what to do to it. The sloped armor helped of course, which no armored vehicle at the time was using. Also the fact that the tank was easy to manufacture in great numbers led to the downfall of the German war machine.

 

Sure the Germans had superior tanks, but they were in hard to make in large numbers and hard to maintain. That's why even though tigers and panthers could kill allied tanks left and right, they couldn't handle taking losses since there were so few.

I've always loved the m1a1 Abrams tank throughout the years. Simply put it just looks so damn badass.
