I'm wondering what office software everyone uses, and why do you use it? I use Libreoffice 4.

I use it because it runs on GNU/Linux, not to mention that I don't like Microsoft and their products.

I'm a bit surprised that I couldn't find a thread on this topic already.

I use office, mainly because it is pretty much standard and I chip in for the 365 subscription with the rest of my family, which works out to not costing that much at all.

I don't use ofice software; I use Google Docs :P. My school gives it to all students for free.

I know that my username/avatar suggests that I use Microsoft Office programs, but I actually don't use them  :P

My laptop came with a permanent subscription to all Microsoft Office applications. So if course ill use that, not to mention thats what school taught me how to use.

No need to relearn the same skill in a different way amirite?

I use MS Office 2010 at work. I like it because I program in VBA and do cool stuff in Word and Excel. I'm in charge of the spreadsheets at work and I'm the only one how knows how to maintain them. So when I quit they are screwed :) I have OpenOffice, but being able to program in VBA makes Office so much better. Are there similar things in any free software?

I only have an Acer laptop. (please don't laugh)

Now you might assume I use abDocs to do my work.

Ehh nope.

I was recommended Open Office by a friend of mine.

It's great!

It's just like Microsoft Office!

The only downside is that it's not as stylish.

And... it very rarely crashes sometimes.

Yeah, that's my reaction too.

It still makes a great substitute though!
