You know what's funny. Its funny how season 6 is already coming around the corner. I happen to know that season 5 was just not that long ago plus the fact that its a little bit early for season 6.

There probably should be a short break in between the seasons or otherwise they might space out the two-parters so they don't air simultaneously, though it would be awesome if they decided to do a four-parters (two-parter Season 5 finale with a cliffhangers brought up with the premier two-parter of Season 6)

I'm sincerely doubting this. 

 

I'm instantly reminded of how season 5 was consistently believed to begin in Fall 2014, but it missed that by nearly six months. I can't help but find it incredibly unusual that they're now saying for absolute certain that season 6 will begin later this year when season 5 isn't even halfway over yet. 

 

And honestly, why rush it out anyway? It's still going to be a while before the 2017 movie, so they honestly might as well hold it off by at least a few months. There's always a possibility that season 6 will be the last.

I think it's too soon for Season 6. Season 5 was great, because everyone was so excited for it. Season 6 however, I'm not excited at all because they announced it right off the bat, so to me it was just like "Oh. Uh, okay then." there wasn't any build up to it. That's just my opinion though. (And we all know how dangerous opinions are on the internet)

Actually, acording to my research, MLP FiM (Generation 4) was out even longer than the 1984-1987 cartoon (Generation 1).

Generation 1 = 3 years (1984 to 1987)

Generation 4 = 5 years (2010 to 2015)

Yeah, Spongebob is now in it's 9th season, and I do not want FIM going into that territory. I think it's best to cap it off at 6 seasons, just seems right. And as a side note, I wonder what generation 5 will be like...

I say that's excellent news to have the 6^th season coming this year as Hasbro says that from the Twitter feed! 
 
That will be after the 5^th season is finished with a full of 26 episodes by October 3^rd, then Hasbro and Discovery Family will announce the new season premiere date likely around mid-October or mid-November this year.

Well, back on April 27th, Amy Keating Rogers said she was leaving the show and had 4 scripts left in season 5 before she's gone. That leads me to believe that they weren't done writing season 6 at that point. Could they still finish season 6 for later in 2015 if the writing portion wasn't finished before May?  How quick is their production schedule?
