Methods you use to reduce anxiety

- Take time to breath. Not those deep breaths people force you to take, just slower, calmer breaths

- Divert your thoughts towards something you like. Think about something you know will always make you happy and obsess over that instead

- If someone you trust is around, talk about it. It might make the situation feel less severe if it’s out in the open

So I breathe in to a count of five, hold the breath to a count of five and then exhale to a count of five.

Another one told to me was to focus on an object and describe how it feels, it’s texture, color and so on.

These were two things told to me by a counselor years ago as a teen that I still use to this day
