What's your favorite Subway sandwich?

Subway?!  Why don't I just eat a piece of shoe leather between two pieces of stale cardboard?  I'm kidding, Subway's ok.  Just ok.  But give me Jersey Mike's any day.  But Subway does have one thing going for them--they're cheap.  I'll give em that.  And for being inexpensive fast food, it's really pretty decent quality.  And there's been more than a few times where I've been on the road somewhere, at some god forsaken truck stop in the barren New Mexican desert, in LITERALLY no country for old men, and I'm starving, and my choices are a package of beef jerky in Chinese writing, with a haz-mat symbol on it, or Subway.  God (figuratively) bless 'em for being there when you need 'em.  That should be their slogan.  Subway: there when you need us most, stranded in no country for old men.

 

Funny story: I used to get meatball subs at the Subway near my college, and the dude there was so apathetic that he'd slur his words out of laziness.  He would ask, "Cheese on there?", but it would literally come out, "Chis 'en eh".  (Short "i")  Yeah.  Chiseneh.  So, for the rest of my life, that's what I call cheese.  Chiseneh.  My mom thought I was exaggerating about the way he said it, but then she went into a completely different Subway, in another state even, and the guy said "Chis 'en eh" to her.  She said that's what he literally said.  No exaggeration.  Guess they train 'em that way.  Lol.  Chiseneh.

My favorite is the philly steak and cheese. I always get it on toasted bread when I go.

Sweet onion teriyaki chicken is good from the menu, otherwise I like to stack my own, usually with chicken as a foundation. BBQ chicky is pretty tasty, with onions and green peppers.

Usually footlong, honey oat, with:

-Meatball, light on the sauce, mozzarella cheese (or pepper jack). Toasted

-Lettuce, tomato, olives, sometimes spinach, green peppers, or onions

-Parmesan, and usually chipotle southwest.

I always get the meatball with cheese. I used to do just meatball then later on I started using the cheese (but only if it’s toasted though)

Been years since I've had a Subway, but back in England I really liked the steak & cheese sub. The meatball one was pretty tasty too, but I had to eat it with a knife and fork since it's illegally messy.
