My thoughts exactly. They use their cake magic to make it stand up. Although, seriously, I'm not sure that an ice cream cake pony would be able to stand up. A regular cake, sure, but you would have to be really gentle with it.

But seriously, I think the best cake I've seen so far is the one that uses that one well-known Rainbow Dash silhouette with her head outline and her mane is solid colored frosting. Can't seem to find the picture of it.
