After seeing the premiere of Season three, I came up with this idea for a good episode:

post-4006-0-31115100-1352675731.png

After witnessing Celestia demonstrating it, King Sombra using it, and then using it herself twice in that same test, Twilight decides to further study dark magic on her own when she gets back to Ponyville from her adventure in the Crystal Empire. Being confident in her ability to keep it under control, despite Spike's protests to not do it at all, Twilight doesn't bother getting consent from Celestia to study it. After all, she's never asked the Princess about studying before now, why should she suddenly start?

"Oh no, Spike, the Princess is far too busy. I can't bother her with something like this. I know what I'm doing, trust me."

She does this studying out of her natural love of learning and insatiable curiosity of course, being the bookworm and star student she is, but the constant use and practice of the dark magic begins to affect her personality. Soon she grows angry, jealous and explosive towards her friends and anyone around her, in addition to using dark magic all the time in replacement of her normal magic. Kinda like the Fluttershy episode with Iron Will, except in this, the dark magic would be a specially placed nod towards real-life drugs or alcohol addiction; they affect your mood and life in usually negative ways when used in excess.

It'd be interesting trying to see Twilight's friends confront her, perhaps even forced to fight her in one of her angry outbursts, trying to convince her that the dark magic is changing who she is. Twilight's defense against the claims would be that the dark magic enhances her abilities, because it's fiercer than normal magic. Little does she know that her logic is already being warped by the negative effects of the magic.

At the end, after Twilight stops the use of the magic and is able to pull herself back from the brink and return to normal, Celestia could then explain that King Sombra was once a normal unicorn who was vastly gifted with magic, not unlike Twilight. He let dark magic consume him, and it eventually turned him into a power-hungry tyrant. His mind was far too warped by the magic by the time he had taken over the Crystal Empire, which is why Celestia and Luna had to banish him instead of trying to help him return to normal.

Perks:

-We'd get a great episode that has a new, important lesson about avoiding bad influences and addictions, and how to stop them through getting help from friends *Twi's friends* or professionals *in this case, Celestia*

-More back story on King Sombra, perhaps even a flashback

-More black magic use, to help us understand how it works, and more of what it can do

Completely unrelated to the season 3 premiere, but I always thought an epiaode about Pinkie Pie making a joke about something that should not be joked about. For example, say all of the mane 6 are getting together to hang out. Rainbow Dash never shows up. "Where is she" "Dash is ALWAYS late..." "Why isn't she here?"

Then Pinkie says "She's just like Applejack's parents! She never shows up!"

Pinkie tells an insensitive joke and everypony gets mad at her for it. The episode revolves around her trying to get her friends back in silly and weird ways but in the end, she apologizes and learns that sime things aren't supposed to be joked about.

I think it'd make a good episode and be teaching the children a good lesson, thougha better scenario than my own would probably be used xD

1. an episode where cadence and shinning armor have a kid and twilight tries to take care of it while their at work.

2. a luna episode where we see what she does during her work schedule since that's never been reveled

3. an episode where Scootaloo goes to a flight camp with rainbow dash as the instructor since they really need a scootaloo episode

wow this sounds awesome! Really good idea there, post-1052-0-93634000-1352678450.gif! I mean this is something they could do quite alot with and an idea is that she finds some cool things with the dark magic that you can't do with normal magic but her friends tries to stop her which makes her angry at them and so on. Also, this reminds me of Star Wars, haha. You know.. The Darth Vader story xD

IT'S LIKE YOU CAN TELL THE FUTURE OR SOMETHING!

hehe

One of my dream episodes is an Apocalypse Now episode: Mane Six get in a PBR or equivalent boat and go up a river to complete a mission for Celestia. It's execution is of course in the hands of the people that make the show. It can totally work: Maybe Twilight=Willard Pinkie=Lance Dash=Chef Applejack=Chief and so on...

The CMC asks Twilight to help them with their homework/presentation and then Twilight becomes way too extreme on preparation for their homework she does all the work and the CMC becomes a bit unnerved all kinds of funny antics fly off and a lesson is learned from all this.

Rainbow Dash looks down on jobs like being a mailman/messenger sometimes even being condescending to them. A messenger who hurt his wings can't make it and he pleads Rainbow Dash to take up the task. RD then finds out the mail was for a report that would determine the faith of Canterlot having a war with another nation or not. And also learns that being a messenger was not so easy. A lesson is then learned about jobs and that they're all important and stuff

I would like to see and episode starring Derpy, Derpy was a huge missed opportunity to do an episode addressing judging others based on looks. Granted they did that when Zecora first premiered in Bridal Gossip but that had a lot more to do with racism than anything else. But racism is not the only way people judge others based on looks, Derpy's googly eyes alot of ponies probably think she is mentally challenged when we really don't have enough information on her to say one way or another. Lets say in this episode that she has her googly eyes and everypony keeps assuming that because she looks that way that she must somehow be "slow" but she is actually extremely intelligent lets say at least as intelligent as Twilight Sparkle maybe even more so and she makes some really great scientific discovery like maybe curing a disease or somthing but nobody believes her because "she is Derpy".

What if there is an episode that talks more about where timber wolves came from and the reasons why they don't like ponies? Also what happened to them later on after Granny Smith's story?

1 - The story of Zecora, how and why she left her homeland to settle in Ponyville.

2 - The main 6 travel to the Griffon kingdoms which of course means the return of Gilda

3 - A Derpy story. I do realise this is unlikely given the controversy etc

I have others but I'm going to wait to see what season 3 cranks out before I open my gob too much,

Now that Scootalove has more or less become canon, and their relationship as surrogate sisters begun, I really want to have an episode that solidifies Dash and Scootaloo's new found relationship, and builds their characters from it.

Not to toot my own horn, but a storyline vaguely similar to my fanfic, Like Sisters, might be a good route. Dash and Scootaloo, having similar personalities as tomboys, end up getting on each other's nerves quite often, not completely unlike Rarity and Sweetie Belle used to do before Sisterhooves Social. Dash deals with Scootaloo's rambunctiousness just fine most of the time, since she herself is always eager to move and have fun too, but the problem comes with the fact that Scootaloo seemingly never gets tired, while Dash enjoys naps and such to recharge her awesomeness. She becomes irritated at the filly easier when she's trying to sleep or relax.

Having an episode focused around the two of them trying to get settled into hanging out a lot more than they used to now that Dash is the fillies' older sister and mentor figure, and thus being forced to deal with each other even when they're at their worsts, would be the jist. It'd be a fantastic way to have the two of them have some great character development, and it'd be fracking adorable :3 I'd imagine such an episode would be in Season 4, since it's still really soon after their initial episode establishing their relationship for them to have an episode of their own.

So basically more Scootalove? Seems a little bit like fan service....(At least to me it does)

Anyway i was thinking of maybe having some more Fluttershy/Applejack episodes as we've barley seen any interaction between the two. Although it seems the upcoming episode just for sidekicks kinda takes away from this idea i was thinking maybe having Applejack substitute for Fluttershy while she goes *insert plot device here* Since Applejack doesn't seem to approach things in the nicest way proven in Applebuck season when she and Winona scare the little bunnies into stampeding into Ponyville. So Applejack learns to take things down a notch when looking after something that's a bit more timid.

Just a thought i came up with on the spot.

I'd like an episode set a little after Cutie Mark Chronicles, that would establish how the Mane Six ended up in Ponyville or how they became the way they are today. There's still a lot of things that they haven't touched on yet. If they are adults now, and Cutie Mark Chronicles was childhood, these would be their teen years.

For Applejack they could show her learning to run her family and become more responsible

For Twilight we could see just what it was like to be Celestia's student full time.

We could see why Pinkie lives with the Cakes

We could get some insight on Rainbow and Fluttershy's families

And we could see why an aspiring designer like Rarity lives someplace that isn't exactly the most high class town out there.

Plus we could see their awkward stages of growing up, and I think there could be a lot of humor in that. I'd love to get some more info on their pasts.

How is progressing on a relationship fan service? :3 Sleepless in Ponyville's synopsis was submitted in July of 2011, quite a bit before 'Scootalove' took off in the fanbase. Thus, it's not at all 'pandering' to fans, it's simply that bronies are intelligent, and are capable of deducing what themes will be used in the future, by what's already been established. By that extension, expanding on what they've already done is not fan service/pandering, either.

Like Chaotic Discord said, i would love another Scootalove episode sometime in the near or far future. He and I's roleplay would also maybe have some decent story ideas in it :3

What is My idea?

(pulls file from idea cabinet. Searches for good idea)

Here is one

The mane six swich places with one another. This means that by science, magic, etc. the mane six accidentally swich places with one another, kinda like the freaky Friday scinario. I already picked out who would swich with whos bodie to create the most complications and humor.

Pinkie pie and Rarity

Twilight and Apple Jack

Rainbow Dash and Fulttershy

I feel that if these characters were switched with one another's jobs and responsibilities that we would see the most problems and humor.

Here is the scenario. We could see problems in Rarity trying to entertain a group/ host a party, or Rainbow trying to take care of a group of animal, Apple Jack not understanding Twilights assignments, Twilight trying to do hard work without the use of magic, Pinkie pie trying to make a dress, and Fluttershy create a thunderstorm for the weather. Each tries there best to maintains the others reputation.

The lesson could be that we shouldn't judge other people's talents and responsibilities. We could have a scenario were they each think, (or some of them think, but everyone switches bodies for the plot) they could do each others job easily, only to learn that you shouldn't take other peoples jobs and talents lightly and that everone is good at what they do and may do the job betters then others.

An episode where Twilight accidentely messes up a spell and causes herself to lose her memory and the others have to help her restore it.

Another idea I have is...

An episode where the relationship between Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy during flight school is elaborated on further.

I always wanted an episode where Applejack /andor Rainbow Dash(preferably Dash since she and Rarity don't interact much) are forced into a beauty pagent ir something like that and Rarity wants them to win

Sorta like that Recess episode where Spinelli ends up in a pagent

That would be amazing, and pretty much in line with one of my ideas from a while back. I'd love to see that, and to develop the Dash/Rarity interaction more.

I would like to look into the fillyhood of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy growing up in Cloudsdale. It has allot of potential for looking into how the other kids used to torment her, how they met in the first place, how Rainbow reacts to the fact her best friend nearly died after falling from a cloud. All that good stuff.
